finally, a positive video of Detroit. I went travelling round america a few years back and i can safely say Detroit was one of the better cities we visited!!

The funny thing is that most of you have never been there and know nothing at all about it except the negative impressions inside your head, and those were mostly formed by a combination of hearsay and decades of negative media propaganda.
Detroit has had it rough for about 40 years now. But everything goes in cycles. For 50 years before that, Detroit was THE American boomtown. What goes around comes around and Detroit is on the way back.
There is a few nice spots but inbetween is areas of empty rundown store fronts, urban prairies, and a ghost town feeling. Detroit has many areas that needs to develop and connect the few decent spots together. Detroit has in other words come unglued and needs a giant bottle of superglue to fix itself.
O.k maybe DownTown is beautiful,but other place in Detroit is nightmare!!!4000 building and home is ruin or leave!!!Detroit most dangerous City in United States!!!!2000 population is 950000,now is 713000 people!!!!1/3 City no power plant!!!! Industry is death!!!!I Its no good City for life!

In every positive Detroit video I've ever seen, they always show Woodward Avenue, that must be the only nice street in the whole city.

I belong to a group of businesspeople/musicians/artists/workers/church-volunteers that have brought incredible life and money and hope into the city we love. I am a native Detroiter I believe that every city has it's ups and downs I recently lived in Chicago even it has its neighborhoods that even I wouldn't go in. all Detroit needs is a leadership the actually cares for the city and it's people. thats the problem. Detroit has suffered more than any other city but just like Chicago and Cleveland Detroit will rise and reclaim its crown. Just needs to clean house hopefully the new city council do more than the past government. Ok Dave bean change!

I'd rather go to royal oak or ann arbor. That's where we would go when I grew up in Bloomfield Hills. Detroit was just a suburb with big empty skyscrappers and homeless people. I guess it might be a bit better now. Nothing like the other big cities though.

I love Detroit. There is so much to do there. When I go there I don't look for trouble. If you do, then you will find it. Detroit has so much to offer any person who is willing to give it a chance. There is so much energy in the air in Detroit.
