I find those little ends of cheese in the refrigerator a bother, not enough to use, too much to toss. Easily lend themselves to mold simply because I ignore them. No more.
A clove of garlic, cheese, and white wine . . . very nearly the start of a Swiss fondue. I'm sure the blend of flavors is magnificent. As I recall, sometimes a little Kirsch is added to the fondue pot. Might be a tasty kick (40%ABV) in this cheese dip as well.
A recipe I've needed without knowing it. Cheers, Michael!
I did end up making the jalapeno spread... the way it's done: finely shred about 1 cup (or more) of you favorite cheddar(s), add chopped pickled jalapenos (to taste), just enough mayo to hold it all together, put in some cracked pepper, mix well, and you are done! Cream cheese or sour cream can be used instead of mayo, but since my mom made it with mayo, I do too. :)
This looks good. How much difference is there in taste or consistency between the white wine and the apple juice? I wouldn't think that apple juice would be that good in a cheese dip. I don't have a food processor. Would this also work in a blender? Is it necessary to put parsley in with it to have it come out right?
@freitasex thanks bro you are the best. buffalo wild wings has the best jerk wings. I would love to make them at home. They have alot of other good wings too.
@freitasex No, but I will have to do that sometime. I love honey barbecue wings but for the most part I like wings with alot of spicyness more. Maybe I'm nuts but I like to almost burn my mouth when I eat wings
Hey Mike, this looks great, but I have one quick question for you... what kind of white wine are you using? Is it a dry wine? I was trying to read the label... I think it's Walnut Creek, but not sure. I am attending a small dinner party in a couple of weeks and I have been asked to bring crackers and cheese, so I am going to make this recipe. Thanks!
2 people cant cook and decided to take it out on this video.

kokohawk 1 year ago
@kokohawk
I think the apple juice would be perfect, as my wine was sweet and added a wonderful sweet taste.
A blender... I do not feel it would work because of the small amount of liquid added.
Parsley is not necessary ..
Thank you for your questions!
