they still sell space food sticks in Australia ... used to be chocolate and caramel, now only chocolate ... and the weird this is , Nestle now makes them here!

they cost almost $4 for six sticks!!!!

I loved these. I wish they'd bring them back. This product was probably Pillsbury's way of helping to promote the US space program. So when that closed down in 1974, so did the Food Sticks. I'll bet they still have them up in Canada.

Curious how they didn't mention "Space" but called them "Food Sticks." I suspect one commercial was geared for kids, the other for adults? I wolfed these down after school every day! They would've tasted better with the space helmet with the hole in the mouth area (see other commercial).

I am glad I came across this ad! People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I used to eat these by the boxful when I was a kid. Heaven knows what Pillsbury put in 'em, but I thought it was cool to be eating the same stuff the astronauts were!
