theres a easier way on the pc.if you have sonic 3d last and/or sonic old games.you save a state in a diferent game.then start sonic 3d blast.then choose load state.click on any state u want.it will take u to the level select screen.u cant save a state for sonic 3d blast if your on the game b/c it wont work.ill make a video responce

Nah, dude. He's for real. I did this once too. Just start the game and give the console or the cartridge a good smack and this menu will pop up. Its pretty cool. You don't have to "beat it up", just a gentle tap does fine.
It's not the Genesis you need to hit, just the Cartridge.
Give it a good ol Flick, and it will work (Hard enough of a flick, that it "might hurt your finger.)
Your genesis will be fine, and no one cares about 3d blast anyways.
