this is really interesting... i was just on another video... a song in slovio (translation from a russian red army song) and people were complaining about not being able to understand or barely understanding... those people also spoke slavic languages... and then i see people on here claiming the direct opposite. that's cool that it actually works. it really is supposed to be able to be understood by slavs. that's the point. glad to see it's successful.
хорошо, наконец ты понял. Ну, проблема где я живу.. большинство русских здесь на русском говорят и препочитают его. Особенно, евреи из Украины на русском говорят.
Well, with esperanto you can talk only to other Esperantist. Slovio is understood, without learning by some 400 million. Even if they have never heard of SLovio, they will understand you. It has been tested over and over.
Sorry, but it's still too soon to say "disaster". In more than 100 years, the language has survived. Not only that, it has more and more speakers over the world, even after been massively killed by Nazis, Stalin, etc.
Don't decide by yourself about the success of an long term idea. Could you have said that Christianity was a disaster after 100 years? They were dispersed over the world, could not talk publicly about their faith, were thrown to the lions, etc. See them today ;)
I sorry but I"m talking about an useful language for the real world, if you want to learn a language because you like it do it but there are more useful languages than esperanto. About Christianity mmm, I don"t like to talk about religion, there"s only one God.
A language is useful if you have a use for it. If you don't need it, it's useless for you. Esperanto works for me, and for many other people. I can only speak three languages, but, using Esperanto I talk almost every day with people from all over the world.
What I was really talking about is that you cannot judge yet if it failed or not. At least wait until it's really dead. I didn't want to talk of religion, I'm not religious. It was only an example of a successful long term movement.
"Zxen"- what is it?

Дифтонги это говно, да и латиница тоже - обрубок для греков и иже и сними. Не зря же Кирилл и Мефодий создали славянский алфавит из 41 букв.

I asked 6 people how much they can understand. 3 Russians: 80-90%, 1 polish person 90%, one czech person 90%, one slovak person 90%.

Pekný nápad, aj celkom rozumiem, no nie všetkému, ale pravdepodobne po chvíli štúdia, by som tento jazyk zvládol.

No, bez przesady.
Rozumiem moze połowę tego wierszu, to znaczy rozumiem mniej więcej, o co chodzi.
W ten sam sposób można rozumieć dowolny język (zachodnio)słowiański, a nie ma potrzeby sztucznego...

@slavianstvo It's true- I can understand 80%-90% of the spoken language... very interesting because I've never heard of this before

Well if you put that way, for me is not useful as other languages. Maybe I"ll give Slovio a try.
