My westies, Sophie and Chelsea, just loved tv. Sophie in partic had a soft spot for the Sharon Osbourne show! Ha ha. Chelsea liked anything that moved and of course, anything canine was a hit.

Other exciting TV for him includes: dynosaurs; exotic physics such as black holes, large Hadron Collider; rocket launches; and of course explosions and animals of all types -- he relly likes Military and History Chanel

Put treats next to the ironing board and let him eat it. Let him associate something he's scared of with something good. Let him get used to the things he's scared of. You also need to socialize your dog more. Bring him into public and let him be around loud noises, different scents, and people. Just a thought...not an expert.

OMG! My Westie does the same thing...sometimes I leave the tv on Animal Planet just for her. She thinks the animals are in the house and tries to play with them. I have 2 other dogs (an Aussie and a Lab x) and they are oblivious to the tv. Westies are the best dogs in the world!

When my doggie is in the room when I am watching a show with dogs. She starts barking like mad. Once she even climbed up on her hind legs and hit the stop button. Lol. She makes me laugh all the time

Fast paced, decently long walks with a westie works wonders. At least once too.

I've got 4 Westies.2 Males/2 Females.Been for a long walk and now 2 hours later they are all sleeping.Sammy(10) and Alice (5) lying next to each other right next to me on the computer on the 2-seater settee.Phoebe(5) in the basket just below me and Max(7) in his basket on the other side of the living room.They go round in a "pack" of 4 and are wonderful.I don't even have to take any leads out when we walk in any of our local parks in London,England.

haha! Usually no matter what dogs are doing, their tale will wag at least once. Casper is so into it that only his left ear moved when you moved a little & then spoke to him. He heard you, but he just didn't care :o) hilarious! Dogs have the right to know what is going on in the world too, I suppose.

Apparently dogs aren't supposed to see 2 dimentional, but like my Westie and yours, they can watch TV. So, I don't get that. Casper is so cute! My Westie loves to watch Animal Planet, and completely ignores you while she's watching as well, lol.

Believe me, he is taking it ALL in. If you let Casper watch a week of CSPAN, and attend some basic courses in civil jurisprudence, I, for one will vote for him. Seriously.
