That is the exact car I want, minus the tan intior. Hows the car holding up? Are you getting decent fuel economy and are there any disadvantages to the diesel, beside price?

@RJK0708 its holding up quite well 10,000 miles on it not one hiccup, but there was a recall on one of the fuel injectors on cylinder number 2 because it couldnt take the hig fuel pressure. VW will fix that for me for free pretty soon. im getting excellent fuel economy i average around 42-44 mpg, but if i drive economically i can get 50 fairly easily on a free way trip. no other disadvantages ive encountered, but the new civic is looking really nice and so is the focus (expecially the ST)

Your mileage would be way better if you didn't idle.

@Mattomega im not worried about idling it because it burns hardly any fuel when it idles becuase its a diesel less than half as much as a gasoline engine

So is the fuel economy expected to increase after its broken in? Im extremely disappointed that these new 2.0 tdi's are getting worse fuel economy than they did 10 years ago. nonetheless, its a good looking car that still kicks the shit out of the prius!

@12VCTD oh yeah, well the fuel economy suffers due to the new emission controls: they really hold back the engine, but the car also weighs significantly more than older tdi jettas, and it is much more powerful.

Really nice car man! 2 things i wana know number one is the tdi annoying noisy or just noisy when ur inside?? And the thing i have been curious about for long that ppl have been complaining about, hows the interior quality!?

Excellent. Great choice. I have done a ton of research on what can I will buy next and I have decided on a VW TDI Wagon, but I am waiting for the next version of the wagon which will have same body style as the sedan.
