Lamb of God keeps metal going these days, as Pantera did in the 90s, and the thrashers did in the eighties. The riff does sound similar, I was unaware that testament played in drop D 0_O. Testament is the original creator of the riff... Testament has had this song since 1988 off "The New Order" album. The version you're hearing now is from 2001. So no, Lamb of Shit didn't come up with this riff.
