i have the smae tyres as that on my cr01 and a hpi 65turn wit h the origanal gear it has heaps of torque but not enought speed to get out of tricks stuff
the crawler motors are not all that good, i had a 60 turn and im out today to get a 15 turn, i think the small pinion is best with a low turn motor you get the crawling torque and the benifit of the deceleration from the gear, it still has to trun the motor fast when coming off a rock so it looks more realistic then if it just runs away when it reaches the top of the rock. ill let you know how she goes.
nice cr01 i have got one ill pop a video on soon. what gear did you put on the motor? it comes with a 20 tooth. i swaped mine for a 16 tooth. i think you can even fit a 12. there is a fair bid of adjustment. first day out i got it stuck and twisted the rear drive shaft. i gots to back off the juce !

i got a 18 tooth. with a 60 turn motor, but im thinking of going to a 16. it works real well now tho. the proline rock tyres are unstopable
