  • This is a great song. I was never a TB fan but love this song. I think his brain went soft this week a when he made those statements about legalizing all drugs (like Amsterdam) after Whitney Houston's tragic death. What is he thinking?

  • Tony had to do some "horse-trading" with Mitch Miller to record this (he still dislikes this record)- it was a matter of "You record this, and I'll let you record whatever you want for your next release".

  • I am a Hawaiian dancer and danced to this at my recital last year. Great song!

  • I think this song would have been a no. 1 hit except for a guy named Elvis Presley!

  • This is real music! :D

  • Great song by Tony and I'm not TB fan. This is the only song he ever did that I like.

  • One of the best from summer of 1957! I remember going into the litte sound booths at The Book Shop in Fitchburg MA - you could play records before buying them. Man those were the days!

  • OMG, poor Tony had to do this for money ^^. He didn´t really want that xD.

  • Great early hit by Tony Bennett. Along with Firefly it is one of his forgotten great recordings.

  • Hearing this song way back in the latter 1950s always had me dreaming of leaving New England and moving to warm Hawaii. Well, I made it to Florida! Tony's version of this song is the best; but, Joni James' version is truly wonderful and Ernie Ford's version is nicely upbeat... LG

  • A hit song in 1957. Grade school.

  • Yeah, a trip down memory lane. Thank you.

  • OH YES !!

  • As much as I enjoy Tennessee Ernie Ford's version,I must confess that Tony Bennett's is more favored by me.Nice to hear this one again. Thanks partner!

  • Wow........reminiscent of my childhood days........Thanks for sharing ( :

  • Excellent tune.

  • MMM

This was the very first record I remember ever hearing. I was three years old and recall my older brother (11) playing it over and over again. Too young to remember the words but I sure can remember the tune.

  • Well, I had just about forgotten this song! Thanks for the memory ... It was popular when I was demobbed from the Cate (Army) in '57 ... After not hearing it for all these years; I think I can still remember most of the words (as in 'Halcyon';) ... PJP :)

  • Great song! But I can't find the flip side "I Am" ANYWHERE. :-( It is also wonderful tune by Tony and should have been a hit but it has slipped into obscurity.

  • akronrambler has it Rosy. I just found this and another old favorite. Hope you found it by now. Syb

  • Thanks Syb. Yes I finally got it. :-)

  • This song is the best

  • You;ll never find anyone to replace Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr or Frankie they were the best

  • Boy this brings me back to 1957 - you never his this song anymore. I think the flip was "I Am". Thanks for putting this song on.

  • This song is the remenbrance when I'm a teen-Ager.
