People have been smoking for centuries. The act of smoking isn't not that harmful as long as u don't overdo it. Smoke is a drug, and like every other drug it can be stronger than you if you don't control it. If u smoke a cigarette occasionally it's not gonna harm u at all. And if it does, there's other things like air pollution or food matters that harm your heath more.

I agree that smoking is horrible, but there are some problems with this type of demonstration.

1. Nobody smokes an entire cigarrette in one large thick drag, they take smaller and more aerated drags.

2. Your filtering the tar out of smoke that would be exhaled. Almost none of that would actually stay in someones lungs. Granted over time tar will slowly accumulate in the lungs, but everyone already knows smoke leaves behind tar, these demonstrations are exagerations purely for scaremongering.
