if Jesus is enlightened as you say, I doubt whether he would teach to have only one belief that only one person is the answer. @AnnofAmerica Wayne teaches spirituality, but it's not found in the bible. He talks about god but not the God of the bible. His messages are uplifting and positive but it doesn't lead anyone to the knowledge of the truth that can save their lost soul. That message can only be found in the gospel/New Testament.
We are not all one, we are all sinners by nature and we need the forgiveness and grace that can only come through Jesus Christ.

wayne dyer's teachings always remind me of linn and cardel smith's teaching. i went on the Quantum Sedona retreat that the smiths host and they has simialr teachings, and yet both seem so unique and inspiring!

I like how Wayne Dyer teaches you how to apply this stuff into your life. A lot of people I know claim to be "Christians" and think what Wayne Dyer says is "evil" and "satanic" even though it corresponds with Jesus's teachings perfectly. They don't actually apply the teachings of Jesus into their lives that is why they can't see this to be true. As Jesus said "Don't be a hypocrite, decieving yourselves."

I used to question the teachings of Wayne because of crazy people like you who are fundamental in a crazy way when it comes to Jesus. How do you know Jesus wasn't just an enlightened being. You are just believing what you want to believe and blindly believing it. I put Wayne Dyers(Jesus's) teachings into practice and they work. As Jesus said "TEST EVERYTHING." "SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND" SIT STILL AND KNOW THAT IT IS GOD."
Jesus is God not some enlightened being as you put it. All of what wayne says may work but that doesn't make it right and it sure doesn't mean it's the gospel.
I don't blindly believe I have the word of God. You can attempt to apply the words of Christ but until you have seen your sin and repented and trusted in Christ by faith to be saved His word can do nothing for you as far as giving you things etc.. It can make you wise unto salvation.

And by the way I have repented many times, I have also did the whole "confess with your mouth and believe in your heart" thing. Maybe I am saved. Who knows. I still think Waynes message is good and true. As Jesus said "All things are possible with God." And what exactly is God the father? How do you know it isn't a higher energy flowing through everything. The bible also says God is Everything. So Waynes way of interpretation is correct there as well.

As I said in my first comment, you have to actually APPLY the teachings of Jesus into your life in order to know they are true. The only reason you have to "BELIEVE" in the way of Jesus, is so you actually apply it. Without "Belief" you never will even attempt to put the teachings into practice.
What does "REPENT" MEAN? You do realize it means "To feel sorry about" and then to "LET GO." In other words don't hold on to the past feelings of guilt. Now this is very important for feeling grace, which can only be felt in the present moment. Salvation is a feeling of security in this world. A feeling that everything will be alright and work out. Basically you have entered "the kingdom of heaven" as Jesus called it. And by the way "SIN" means "TO MISS THE POINT." The point of existence
-Repent means to be sorrowful over your sin and change your mind about it and turn from it.
-Grace and Salvation are not feelings
-Sin means to miss the mark and it means lawlessness
God is perfect and that is His requirement for us to go to heaven,but we all have sinned,missed the mark.broken His laws.
So He took in flesh,Jesus, and paid the sin debt we have incured. When you repent and turn to Christ by faith, God forgives you based on the payment of Christ and not anything you did, Grace.
It is a "STORY." There is NO PROOF of what you just said about JESUS. Yes his teachings are true. But it is just plain "PSYCHOLOGY 101." Once you truly are "saved" you will realize that this whole "BELIEVE IN JESUS AND YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN" was BS. But since it helped you reach "SALVATION" you don't bash it. As the Tao Te Ching says, "thoughs who know don't speak, and thoughs who speak don't know."
And by the way, you either "Fear GOD" or you don't. You can't make yourself fear something that you previously didn't. Especially if there is no PROOF that it exists. And my point about "SIN" meaning "to miss the point" is that if you didn't already notice yet, all SINS can be overcome or "CORRECTED" if you will. And with that being said, doesn't it sound like something that just gives you a crap load of benefits rather than something that "DAMNS YOU TO HELL" as you would say.
It is an interesting "Story" that could be true or false. Only through your own practice can it be true, and even if it works, it still doesn't PROVE that it is true and other teachings are false. And it still doesn't prove the way I interpretted it as false.
This is like a story that makes sense to you so you CHOOSE to "believe" it. Even though there is no proof to it. It does bring comfort and HOPE to you. But don't say that Wayne Dyers teachings are Airy Fairy New Age Balogney when you believe this story about a guy performing miracles and then says "You can do all that I have done, and even Greater." Maybe Wayne is right, and you are wrong? I don't want to make you question your beliefs but you can still stick to them and follow both.
You do know that when you judge others you disconnect yourself from "REALITY" in its purest form. You help build up your EGO(False sense of self) and this creates suffering. You might want to read more in depth and think about these things before confronting a very experienced "CHRISTIAN" with your beliefs.

Repeating the Lord's prayer will do nothing for you. That's a model prayer for believers. It won't save you. The only teaching that will work is repentance of sin and faith in Christ alone. Who is the sinless Son of God, who took the punishment for sin that you deserve. So you could be forgiven. He bled and died on the cross,was buried and rose 3 days later.

From my experience, Wayne Dyer's teachings are very beneficial and work.
I believe if Jesus "Saved" us from our Sins and it means anything. He taught us how to live so we aren't living in darkness and we can bring light to this world. I also believe if you attack saints like JESUS than you have a good chance of being DAMNED to hell if it exists. I believe the closer someone is to God and the more you attack them, the worse your KARMA will be.

And this "ENLIGHTENMENT" and "SELF-REALIZATION" is VERY important for the future of humanity to thrive. As I said before and I will say again, Satan is a metaphor for EGO. You have a big EGO and that is the reason why you can't see this to be true. Yes there is a God and JESUS may have been a manifistation of GOD in human form. But that still doesn't rule out KRISHNA from being the same thing, considering KRISHNAS teachings are the same as JESUS'S but go way more in depth.
Here is what I personally believe, I belive the truth is buried in the STORY of Jesus. Until you or something happens in my life that proves that JESUS is the ONE and ONLY GOD I will believe that. Otherwise I will agree that he is ONE manifistation of GOD. Don't give me "well the scriptures say this, and the scriptures say that." The scriptures say alot of things, I am not going to cut my wifes hands off because she disobeyed me I am sorry. You can do that crazy person, but I will not.
And when I said Jesus's teachings are true, I am talking about the ones that you can apply into your life, not the crap about "BELIEVE AND YOU WILL BE SAVED" although it is good to brainwash people into thinking that so one day they may become self realized or enlightened if they stay on the path without hypocracy.
Jesus' teachings basically say, we are souls, not flesh and bone, and Jesus taught us how to live in a way where we can get in touch with our souls. Souls are spiritual. And once you get in touch with it, that is when you are truly free. As Jesus said, "KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE."
I believe that JESUS's teachings are very important because whatever is in your heart when you die you bring to your next life. And I believe that whatever is in your heart will determine where you are and what you do in your next life. And your next life may not be here on earth, it may be in heaven. Actions speak louder than words, I think you should "BE" a Christian and show an example, instead of sit around on a "WAYNE DYER" comment section typing comments.
I don't want to take away from what you believe to be true, you are on the right track by believing in God and Jesus. But until you actually start APPLYING these teachings of Jesus into your life and have experience in the world with them. You will not realize why it says what it says. Karma exists, and Jesus spoke of Karma by saying "whatever judgement you make on somebody, you will be judged." You are "ASSUMING" he means when you are "DEAD." Even though it NEVER SAYS THAT!!! LIVE IT!!
What you do is you point out other people faults(JUDGE THEM) and that is what keeps you blinded. Your EGO blinds you from truth. "DON'T BE A HYPOCRITE, DECIEVING YOURSELVES." Maybe you should REALLY look into his teachings and think, "MAYBE I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING." Jesus's teachings are supposed to be for YOU, the person. It is you and GOD vs SATAN. Not you vs THE WORLD. Even though a lot of people THINK THAT!!! But then again, "the path is broad, but the gate is narrow."
And more on this whole you blinded yourself thing. Jesus said, "Don't point out the speck in somebody elses eye when you have a LOG in your own." You don't realize that a lot of people that you criticize are more CHRISTIAN than you. They are more CHRIST like than you. They may not say they are a Christian but they are more Christian. That saying says if you don't know the truth, stop acting like you do. KNOW THE TRUTH. Don't BELIEVE THE TRUTH. It is KNOWN through practice.
Jesus said, "BE IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF THE WORLD." He is saying live a life that is for GOD. Serve GOD. That means whatever you do, do it for GOD. Anything else helps bring you farther into delusion(HELL). After awhile of doing this, and focusing your attention, not on the body, but on the awareness of your body. You realize you are the awareness. That is what it means to BE BORN AGAIN. And to DIE BEFORE YOU DIE. I "KNOW" this to be true, I don't BELIEVE this to be true.
Either you are serving your EGO or you are serving your higher self. Which is connected to GOD. And if you serve your higher self and keep your attention in that area you become it. "As you think so shall you be." If you think you are your mind, you will become your mind. If you know you are greater than your mind and body, you will be greater than your mind and body. You are the person who is a "AS YOU BE, SO SHALL YOU THINK" person. That is not a child of God's way of thinking.
And when I say 'CHILD" of God, I mean "STUDENT" of God. Don't get all offended on me now. Because that is what we all are. We are basically students learning to master the teachings of JESUS. Or Buddha, or Krishna.
By the way, the reason why I said "YOU FEAR SATAN" is because you can't look at the teachings in any other way but the way you were raised to believe. And the reason you can't is because you are afraid it is "SATANIC." Well, it either is or it isn't. "TEST EVERYTHING" as Jesus said. Don't be afraid of something being "SATANIC" and going to "HELL". As long as Jesus is in your heart and you are still following the word of JESUS you can't go wrong. AM I WRONG? AM I WRONG? If I am, WHY?
Think about it this way, the Bible says "fear of God is the beginning of knowledge" for this reason. God is in each of us, we have the potential to get in touch with it. It is called the soul by some. It is called the holy spirit in the bible. Others call it just plain spirit and some call it conciousness. When you fear God that means you follow his teachings instead of bash it. When you follow his teachings you get in touch with that inner self that is all knowing.
We have free choice, but there is a way that works and a way that doesn't. The way of God works and people are foolish who don't realize this. Sin takes you away from "SPIRIT." In other words it brings you into delusion and makes you think you are your body and your mind, and you are in control. Life is paradoxical, we make choices but at the same time the choices are being made for us. Some say that is the reason for the smirk on the face of the Buddha.
You have to stop taking every little thing that YOU can understand LITERALLY. And the key words are "YOU CAN UNDERSTAND." Have you really thought that MAYBE you don't know what you are talking about? I used to be at your level of conciousness. "SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND" not "READ AND YOU SHALL KNOW."
And when I say "level of conciousness" I mean "level of spirit awareness." I am not saying, don't pray and accept Jesus as your savior. I am saying do that, and incorporate other ways of interpretation into your life. That is how you "TEST EVERYTHING."
The whole "Damns you to hell" is another way of "Brings you deeper into delusion." And judgement by the laws of God. And Jesus spoke of the Laws of God. They are meant to be LIVED not waited out until you are dead. Otherwise you will probably be born again into this world because your soul is ETERNAL and you will be at the same level of suffering that you were at beforehand when you died. Except this time you may be blind, but hey, it may be necessary for you to be blind to learn about GOD.
Jesus said, Unless you have been "BORN AGAIN" you cannot "see the kingdom of heaven." AGAIN, he never said when you are DEAD!!!!!! But that is what YOU ASSUME!!! You can see BEAUTY EVERYWHERE when you connect and surrender to GOD. And Jesus taught us how to live to surrender to GOD!! Or in other words the intelligence that runs the UNIVERSE!!
Once you have fully surrendered to SPIRIT or GOD, You have then become ENLIGHTENED or as you like to call it SAVED!! And by the way, Jesus said we were "made in the image of GOD." That goes along with what I was saying about "SPIRIT" once again. WE ARE SPIRIT!!! That is what you need to learn to get in touch with.
The truth is, this world is an illusion. The question is, is it an illusion for you? Have "OVERCOME THE WORLD" as Jesus said. Only through practicing his teaching by applying them do you realize this. And "SIN" is what keeps you stuck in the delusion or "ILLUSION" that this world is real. Your desires, lusts, and greed are what keep you from feeling Grace or energy from God that flows through you. Now Jesus spoke in parables because you can't just say "THE WORLD IS AN ILLUSION."
If Jesus came out and just said "The world is an Illusion" they would throw him in a mental hospital or have killed him much quicker than they have. You see, through practicing what you can understand your conciousness should eventually keep raising until more stuff is understood. Conciousness is spirit awareness or awareness of the spiritual side of life. If you KNOW what Karma is and how to avoid bad Karma for instance, you will be very fruitful and things will work for you.
I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian home so I know where you are coming from. I used to believe what you believe. But I said this sounds strange and weird, all I have to do is allow Jesus into my heart and repent? How? The bible isn't very clear, and even then, why would Jesus have come to this earth with so much to teach. It isn't rocket science what I have just said, it is truth.
I respect your "OPINION" about how it should be interpretted, but you still can't and haven't proven Wayne Dyer wrong. So that is why I choose to follow his positive message. I guess it is a matter of how much do you want to follow Jesus? How literal are you going to take his teachings? A lot of it is spoken as a "metaphor." I think that Jesus didn't care whether his teachings were written down or not. I think he wanted it passed down from practice more than anything. Words can be changed
I think that is the reason he brought people up to the mountains to teach them. You can't preach to a crowd unless the whole crowd is willing to listen. Since these followers were disciples of Jesus he trusted them to take in his message and then spread it. That is why people get gurus, so they can be guided to truth by a spiritual master.
The purpose of a CHURCH is to spread the word of God not to understand EVERYTHING about Jesus's teachings. Once you know the word, it is up to you to take is as far as you can and understand it. And after a while Church shouldn't be necessary for you, because the teachings should become second nature.
You do understand that if Jesus was God a simple "I AM GOD" would be very helpful. Show me the scripture where he says that he is GOD. I believe he is showing the way to get connected to your higher self which is SPIRIT and is connected to GOD!!! And our goal is to get in alignment with GOD. But SIN holds us back. It disconnects us, but I believe it is possible to OVERCOME SIN. Because I have done it.
I do like the answer that a spiritual master gave when asked if he was God. He said "Yes, and so are you, the only difference is, I KNOW it, and you Doubt it."
And this ALSO goes with what Jesus taught. So don't BS me.
I believe the universe works in a reflection sort of way. If you have the attitude of "Give me give me give me" the universe responds the same way and says "Give me Give me Give me" and that is why a lot of people strive for things but never achieve. But if you have the attitude of "give, give, give." The universe works in the same way. That is why non attachment from the outcome is so important. And serving somebody like Jesus whether real or not is beneficial.
But the key is you have to actually apply his teachings. Otherwise you obviously won't get results. I just believe that you could serve Krishna and get the same results or whoever else as long as it corresponds with the teachings of Jesus. Krishnas teachings are the same but go more in depth in the Bhagadvad Gita. Sin has a high and a low whether you realize it or not. If you have a positive or negative thought you will feel the opposite sooner or later.
And your thoughts affect your emotions. So a lot of people instead of feeling grace they are on a roller coaster ride of emotion. Which is all an illusion created by your mind and thoughts. If you can learn to be peaceful and have a peaceful mind and deepen it(which Jesus taught how) you experience "the peace that passeth all understanding." All anger is created by the mind, but PEACE is natural. You can CHOOSE to be angry or at peace(GOD).
That is why Jesus says to "FORGIVE" and to "LET GO OF THE PAST" and basically to live in the present moment. Because that is the only way you can experience GOD(reality in its purest form) or "The kingdom fo heaven" as he called it. "Seek first the kingdom of heaven, and all other things shall be added unto you." I am pretty sure he isn't saying SEEK DEATH.
My point in all this is, how am I supposed to go through life with this BLIND BELIEF that there is a heaven and a hell. If there is a hell when we die, I am pretty sure Jesus will be forgiving enough to allow me to go to heaven for misinterpretting his message. You say it is evil and satanic? Well how am I supposed to know you are right when you can't explain more than half the bible, and I can. I choose my ways you choose yours. You choose the EGO I choose the selfless GOD way.
That is why his message is so important. So you know who to follow and who not too. The longer people go without hearing and following the message the farther they can go into darkness. And this darkness will only deepen depending on how they treat followers of God.
And by the way, SIN brings forth death, I believe he means SPIRITUAL death. But then again, SPIRIT brings life to the body. So the more darkness the less life and the less you will be able to recover from illnesses, that is my personal belief. So this message of Waynes, only works, if you apply it for a long enough time. Someone may be able to heal others, while someone else probably contaminates someones energy field or conciousness.
Maybe your belief in Jesus will get rid of past lifetime karma. Who knows, in other words we are here because of past sins and sins that we created in our lifetime. So it is reasonable that JESUS could be the answer to getting rid of Karma as well. He said people who love him will keep his commandments.
You recognize you are a wretched sinner and in desperate need of forgiveness, without which you will spend eternity in hell. You have no way to earn salvation or God's grace.
You understand that Christ who is fully God and fully man, came to earth, lived sinless, went to the cross to pay the sin debt you incured,He died, was buried, rose from the grave 3 days later, all so you could be forgiven.
You repent of your sin and by faith trust in Christ alone to save you.
AGAIN, thank you for trying to "Save" me. I will do this what you say. But at the same time, I am only doing it in case there is a hell. Not because you "PROVED" anything. This is pure BLIND BELIEF. And just in case we have a crazy God I will do what you say. And like I said before, "HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED?"
And if you are wondering, "HOW IS HE A CRAZY GOD." I will tell you, why on earth would he have to send his son to come to this earth to die? Like I said before, just because the story makes sense to you does not make it true. IT MIGHT BE, but that is what you should be saying too. Is IT MIGHT BE TRUE, not IT IS TRUE. There is NOTHING that shows that what you said was true.
It makes a lot more sense to say, Jesus was killed because people were crazy and thought he was crazy and blasphemous by saying he was GOD so they killed him.
And yes he may have rose from the dead, but that doesn't mean "He died for our sins." Does it even say that in the scripture? Show me the verse. If you can't, SHUT UP.
You keep saying you earn salvation "by God's Grace." Do you even know what "God's Grace" is? If anything I would say it is a deep inner peace and guidence. But then again, you keep repeating the same stupid things over and over with nothing to back up what you say.
I also "REPENT" and "ask Jesus to come into my heart" because that still doesn't debunk what Wayne Dyer says and teaches. It still doesn't prove what I have been saying wrong.
It is very reasonable to say that SALVATION is being able to walk through this world without stumbling. Since you understand how GOD works because Jesus showed us, if you know how to act and what to do in different situations, you can only improve yourself and your life instead of stumble in darkness. In other words you are "SAVED."
I looked up the definition of "Salvation." And it is "the act of being saved or protected from harm or evil." And that definition still backs up what I BELIEVE salvation to be.
I want you to send me a Personal Message with your interpretation of "the sermon on mount" for me. If I see that you can't understand his metaphors then I will personally not do one word you tell me to say, because you have lost ALL credability. I know what he says in it, and it is very clear. And it is clear that it is meant to be followed, it is also very PRACTICAL.

I think it is better to say that there is a God, than there is no God. You should be following the word of God because it works, and there is some sort of truth that you can get from it, NOT because you are afraid of something that has never been proven to even exist. .
Those are the people I stay away from, the ones who get a vision or hear something. The canon of scripture is closed. So people who think they experience something can't come along and add to it(which Christ condemns).
I have the words of God and Christ, I don't need a vision or experience. He said He was God, He proved to those that were with Him and they saw His death on the cross and they saw Him after He rose from the grave. They wrote the scriptures which were "God Breathed' aka inspired
I heard the word of God, it produced faith in me. God's Holy Spirit convicted me of sin and judgment. The word says that Christ alone paid the price for my sin. I repented and confessed to Christ about my sin and my need for Him to save me and that I believe that he alone is Savior and Lord.
Salvation is all of God and nothing of man. He opens blind eyes, He convicts of sin, He alone saves through the Son who is God.

@AnnofAmerica Wayne teaches spirituality, but it's not found in the bible. He talks about god but not the God of the bible. His messages are uplifting and positive but it doesn't lead anyone to the knowledge of the truth that can save their lost soul. That message can only be found in the gospel/New Testament.
We are not all one, we are all sinners by nature and we need the forgiveness and grace that can only come through Jesus Christ.

They gave the death sentence for murdering another person not an animal.Sure animals are killed. But it's not part of the ten commandments.Are animals and people on the same level, absolutely not.Man has authority over animls,given by God.

In my opinion, Panentheism is man’s best attempt at knowing God (which is impossible – See: Isaiah 55:8-9), whereas with Monotheism God came down to Reveal Himself. Both belief systems are important, the contemplative and the Revelation of God. The difficult part is harmonizing and balancing these unique aspects of life. We have the tendency to think in terms of Either/Or but not Both/And.

If we allow our transgressions to follow us and our sin to stick with us, then we will become our sin.
Dr. Dyer is not about the peace you make with God, he is about the peace you make with yourself.
Once we have let go of our burdens and handed it all over to God, then we can become better at all we do.
Or, deny His forgiveness, deny Christ and the price He paid with His blood.
Thank you Dr. Dyer, for helping me find the Grace God put in me so I can find the Grace He put into creation.

Christ died on the cross for our sins, so how do we accept this gift of forgiveness and grace?
If we cannot accept God's forgiveness for our transgressions then are we not rejecting the gift of blood and life paid by Jesus?

I like how Wayne Dyer teaches you how to apply this stuff into your life. A lot of people I know claim to be "Christians" and think what Wayne Dyer says is "evil" and "satanic" even though it corresponds with Jesus's teachings perfectly. They don't actually apply the teachings of Jesus into their lives that is why they can't see this to be true. As Jesus said "Don't be a hypocrite, decieving yourselves."

I used to question the teachings of Wayne because of crazy people like you who are fundamental in a crazy way when it comes to Jesus. How do you know Jesus wasn't just an enlightened being. You are just believing what you want to believe and blindly believing it. I put Wayne Dyers(Jesus's) teachings into practice and they work. As Jesus said "TEST EVERYTHING." "SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND" SIT STILL AND KNOW THAT IT IS GOD."

Jesus is God not some enlightened being as you put it. All of what wayne says may work but that doesn't make it right and it sure doesn't mean it's the gospel.
I don't blindly believe I have the word of God. You can attempt to apply the words of Christ but until you have seen your sin and repented and trusted in Christ by faith to be saved His word can do nothing for you as far as giving you things etc.. It can make you wise unto salvation.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

And by the way I have repented many times, I have also did the whole "confess with your mouth and believe in your heart" thing. Maybe I am saved. Who knows. I still think Waynes message is good and true. As Jesus said "All things are possible with God." And what exactly is God the father? How do you know it isn't a higher energy flowing through everything. The bible also says God is Everything. So Waynes way of interpretation is correct there as well.

As I said in my first comment, you have to actually APPLY the teachings of Jesus into your life in order to know they are true. The only reason you have to "BELIEVE" in the way of Jesus, is so you actually apply it. Without "Belief" you never will even attempt to put the teachings into practice.

No you can't apply His teaching as I tried to explain. The first priority is to be saved. Without salvation His word is useless to you.
Jesus said unless you repent(of your sin) you will perish.
It says in the book of Acts that God commands all people everywhere to repent.

What does "REPENT" MEAN? You do realize it means "To feel sorry about" and then to "LET GO." In other words don't hold on to the past feelings of guilt. Now this is very important for feeling grace, which can only be felt in the present moment. Salvation is a feeling of security in this world. A feeling that everything will be alright and work out. It is a "STORY." There is NO PROOF of what you just said about JESUS. Yes his teachings are true. But it is just plain "PSYCHOLOGY 101." Once you truly are "saved" you will realize that this whole "BELIEVE IN JESUS AND YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN" was BS. But since it helped you reach "SALVATION" you don't bash it. This is like a story that makes sense to you so you CHOOSE to "believe" it. Even though there is no proof to it. It does bring comfort and HOPE to you. But don't say that Wayne Dyers teachings are Airy Fairy New Age Balogney when you believe this story about a guy performing miracles and then says "You can do all that I have done, and even Greater." Maybe Wayne is right, and you are wrong? I don't want to make you question your beliefs but you can still stick to them and follow both.

The only thing you can REALLY DO, is say the lord's prayer everyday and hope you are interpretting the bible correctly while trying to apply the teachings of Jesus. That is what I have found out. Repeating the Lord's prayer will do nothing for you. That's a model prayer for believers. It won't save you. The only teaching that will work is repentance of sin and faith in Christ alone. Who is the sinless Son of God, who took the punishment for sin that you deserve. So you could be forgiven. He bled and died on the cross,was buried and rose 3 days later.

The mind is a very powerful instrument and can be manipulated and believe things easily whether they are real or not.
Why else do you think "Scientology" which was created by L. Ron. Hubbard in 1940 became so successful. The teachings of Christ are real, I "believe that too, but at the same time, I can't prove it and you can't prove it, don't say something is some way until you KNOW it. Jesus' teachings basically say, we are souls, not flesh and bone, and Jesus taught us how to live in a way where we can get in touch with our souls. Souls are spiritual. Think about it this way, the Bible says "fear of God is the beginning of knowledge" for this reason. God is in each of us, we have the potential to get in touch with it. It is called the soul by some. It is called the holy spirit in the bible. Others call it just plain spirit and some call it conciousness. When you fear God that means you follow his teachings instead of bash it. When you follow his teachings you get in touch with that inner self that is all knowing.

I think that is the reason he brought people up to the mountains to teach them. You can't preach to a crowd unless the whole crowd is willing to listen. Since these followers were disciples of Jesus he trusted them to take in his message and then spread it. That is why people get gurus, so they can be guided to truth by a spiritual master.

I believe the universe works in a reflection sort of way. If you have the attitude of "Give me give me give me" the universe responds the same way and says "Give me Give me Give me" and that is why a lot of people strive for things but never achieve. But if you have the attitude of "give, give, give." The universe works in the same way. That is why non attachment from the outcome is so important. And serving somebody like Jesus whether real or not is beneficial.

But the key is you have to actually apply his teachings. Otherwise you obviously won't get results. I just believe that you could serve Krishna and get the same results or whoever else as long as it corresponds with the teachings of Jesus. Krishnas teachings are the same but go more in depth in the Bhagadvad Gita. Sin has a high and a low whether you realize it or not. If you have a positive or negative thought you will feel the opposite sooner or later.

If you can learn to be peaceful and have a peaceful mind and deepen it(which Jesus taught how) you experience "the peace that passeth all understanding." All anger is created by the mind, but PEACE is natural. You can CHOOSE to be angry or at peace(GOD).

That is why Jesus says to "FORGIVE" and to "LET GO OF THE PAST" and basically to live in the present moment. Because that is the only way you can experience GOD(reality in its purest form) or "The kingdom fo heaven" as he called it. "Seek first the kingdom of heaven, and all other things shall be added unto you." I am pretty sure he isn't saying SEEK DEATH.

My point in all this is, how am I supposed to go through life with this BLIND BELIEF that there is a heaven and a hell. If there is a hell when we die, I am pretty sure Jesus will be forgiving enough to allow me to go to heaven for misinterpretting his message. You say it is evil and satanic? Well how am I supposed to know you are right when you can't explain more than half the bible, and I can. I choose my ways you choose yours. You choose the EGO I choose the selfless GOD way.

That is why his message is so important. So you know who to follow and who not too. The longer people go without hearing and following the message the farther they can go into darkness. And this darkness will only deepen depending on how they treat followers of God.

And by the way, SIN brings forth death, I believe he means SPIRITUAL death. But then again, SPIRIT brings life to the body. So the more darkness the less life and the less you will be able to recover from illnesses, that is my personal belief. So this message of Waynes, only works, if you apply it for a long enough time. Someone may be able to heal others, while someone else probably contaminates someones energy field or conciousness.

Maybe your belief in Jesus will get rid of past lifetime karma. Who knows, in other words we are here because of past sins and sins that we created in our lifetime. So it is reasonable that JESUS could be the answer to getting rid of Karma as well. He said people who love him will keep his commandments.

You recognize you are a wretched sinner and in desperate need of forgiveness, without which you will spend eternity in hell. You have no way to earn salvation or God's grace.
You understand that Christ who is fully God and fully man, came to earth, lived sinless, went to the cross to pay the sin debt you incured,He died, was buried, rose from the grave 3 days later, all so you could be forgiven.
You repent of your sin and by faith trust in Christ alone to save you.

AGAIN, thank you for trying to "Save" me. I will do this what you say. But at the same time, I am only doing it in case there is a hell. Not because you "PROVED" anything. This is pure BLIND BELIEF. It makes a lot more sense to say, Jesus was killed because people were crazy and thought he was crazy and blasphemous by saying he was GOD so they killed him.
And yes he may have rose from the dead, but that doesn't mean "He died for our sins." Does it even say that in the scripture? Show me the verse. If you can't, SHUT UP.

It is very reasonable to say that SALVATION is being able to walk through this world without stumbling. Since you understand how GOD works because Jesus showed us, if you know how to act and what to do in different situations, you can only improve yourself and your life instead of stumble in darkness. In other words you are "SAVED."

I clicked on your name and I see that you are definately a believer in God, and that is what I respect. I respect anybody who is open minded enough to say that there could be a God. I think it is better to say that there is a God, than there is no God. But to believe that there is a God, as Einstein said, because you are afraid of going somewhere, we are in trouble as a human race. He didn't word it EXACTLY like that, but close.

Those are the people I stay away from, the ones who get a vision or hear something. The canon of scripture is closed. So people who think they experience something can't come along and add to it(which Christ condemns).
I have the words of God and Christ, I don't need a vision or experience. He said He was God, He proved to those that were with Him and they saw His death on the cross and they saw Him after He rose from the grave. They wrote the scriptures which were "God Breathed' aka inspired

No I don't have to brainwash myself.
I heard the word of God, it produced faith in me. God's Holy Spirit convicted me of sin and judgment. The word says that Christ alone paid the price for my sin. I repented and confessed to Christ about my sin and my need for Him to save me and that I believe that he alone is Savior and Lord.
Salvation is all of God and nothing of man. He opens blind eyes, He convicts of sin, He alone saves through the Son who is God.
