  • She is so adorable! Love her answers and she did amazing with her french accent!

  • I think Deborah was always underestimated because she seemed like just another pretty face. But she was much more than that! She was such a fastastic actress! I recently saw The King and I and she is stunning! Gotta love her!

  • I always underestimated Deborah Kerr, but she was one of the sexiest woman of her age

  • Beautiful talented lady. RIP.

  • Paired with any actor and you had movie magic. Beautiful and laways classy.

  • brilliant actress. One of the true greats. Thansk for this post.

  • An actress who played upper class ladies (the King and I) and the wife of an itinerant sheep man in Australia (The Sundowners) and carry both off is a real actress

  • One classy lady, indeed;

  • Just enjoyed a Deborah Kerr weekend at my house by watching two of my favs "Tea and Sympathy" and "The Grass Is Always Greener." She is absolutely stunning in both. I remember watching this years ago on The Game Show Network. Thanks for posting.

  • "Yes, isn't it clever?"

Lol, the way she says that cracks me up each time! I love Deborah -- she seems like she had a great personality :)

  • Awww she's so cute!

  • Back in the day movie stars had real class!

  • @mustang73ism Yes, and going to the movies was a real event - 3 movies of her's playing on Broadway!!

There aren't ANY movies playing on Broadway these days because all the great movie palaces are gone.

The younger generation have no idea just what it was like.

  • "Absolutely the most phoney thing about me" I've seen this video like thousands of time and I love it! i love Deborah Kerr. The most wonderful and beautiful actress ♥ And I love WML. It's a classic :D

  • A great Scottish beauty! She's simply stunning.

  • so funny - and she has such a cute nose - thanks a lot for uploading these legends...

  • well gee oi thoink Oi come from new Yoik ,see.

  • Love Deborah Kerr. Great actress. Thank goodness the Academy finally saw fit to award her an honorary Oscar. Elegance personified.

  • I can´t even say how much I love and adore her. <3 One of the bests.

  • now we're getting nowhere. gotta love arlene!

  • A D O R A B L E

  • Too bad we can't see that beautiful red hair. I wish I was Burt on that beach...

  • The most wonderful woman...as a lot of them were from across the pond... God bless her.

  • I love her in The Journey with Yul..amazing chemistry! def. worth to check it out!

  • I think Dorothy was partially deaf or something...she could never hear the guest's answer

  • My favorite actress. I cried like a baby when I heard she had died.

  • She seems to be a lovely, lively woman in real life. Adorable.

  • Deborah Kerr was lucky to have the role for From Here To Eternity. As much as I like Joan Crawford, it was good thing that she turned down the script.

  • What a great guest Deborah was, such an utterly charming woman...She clearly had a great time on WML...Deborah is one of the most talented actresses, one of the most beautiful women and one of Hollywood's greatest leading ladies, ever.

  • Such a genuinely talented woman!

  • I love Deborah Kerr, the Nicole Kidman of the 50's!

  • Deborah Kerr is one of my all time favorites! VERY underated!

  • "An Affair To Remember" will never go down as a cinema classic; however (and recognizing beauty is in the "eye of the beholder"), there is something about her beauty and femininity in that movie that has been rarely matched on the 'silver screen'.

  • Yes... I like her but I prefer Irene Dunne in the earlier "Love affair."

She was a fine actress though.

  • Agreed. Actually, I prefer Irene Dunne in EVERYTHING she has ever done. Alot of her movies, as you may know, were remade; but none, to my mind, with the same grace and charm.

  • Ha. Nice to find another big Dunne fan. ;-D

I agree. I can't think of another actress with her range of talents. Others may have been more intense dramatic actors, (maybe.) But who else was so adept at drama, comedy, romanticism, with a healthy dose of glamor but not without personable charm and wholesomeness, and a lovely singing voice thrown in to boot. ;-)

  • How do you spell class? K. E. R. R.

    "Do you work in Hollywood?"

    "Unfortunately, yes."

LOL. Nobody back then was quite as truthful as Ms. Kerr.

  • Ive yet to come across a whats my line video on youtube in which the panel didnt guess the mystery guest correctly, anyone came across one? strange indeed, thanks

  • Sal Mineo.

  • Fredric March, I think.

  • Thank you Niouni

  • She's just too adorable!!

  • Deborah Kerr is one of the greats. I'm constantly finding her films. I recommend anyone to discover her body of work. Black Narcissus and The Night of the Iguana are top of the pile. Her legend grows.

  • @jakeenan Beautifully said. I couldn´t have said it better. She was such a fantastic and beautiful women. Inside and out. And a brilliant actress. You really don´t find someone like her that often, especially nowadays. She could show some of today´s actors what acting really means. Love her.

  • She was one of the greats, and her performance in 'From Here to Eternity' will live for the ages. Sadly, Hollywood never embraced her British reserve nor her husband, Peter Viertel, one of the great film writers of the 20th century. Check out 'Black Hunter, White Heart' [book and film by Clint Eastwood] about the filming of 'The African Queen' if you want.

  • I know this kind of entertainment - the format we had in Germany about ten years later and it was very popular...

  • She is just to exiquiste and enchanting for words! Love her!

  • My favourite actress! She actually performed and disguised her voice rather than just the Yes/No grunt.

Just wondering what Deborah did on the broadway stage if it wasnt dramatic?

  • She was a brilliant actress, one of the best.

  • Love it!!! Her accent hehehe!!! She's soooo pretty!

  • She looked better when she was a panelist (Lucille Ball appearance).

  • Dude, how does Bennet always get it?!

  • Independently, he and Dorothy used to make lists of celebrities they knew were in town. He would scour the weekend papers.

  • Charm personified.

  • what a cute gestures at 0:33-0:35 :)

  • bless her heart she was so nervous!!

I adore her! You'll never find talent like her's nowadays!

  • Kate Winslet sometimes reminds me of her.

  • Wonderful. She is just so beautiful and what a lovely dress.

  • I really liked her--she was great!

  • A great lady!

But what is a continental accent?? The European continent has a large variety of accents in English.

  • Wonderful lady!

  • What a great sense of humor and what a great lady! Wonderful accent =)

  • She is SO enjoying herself! Some of the stars on this old show are alittle boring, but not D.K.

  • I absolutely love Deborah Kerr!!! thanks for posting this :)

  • The europeans have such splendid genetics. Seems like americans are getting less attractive.

  • TRy an international city in the states...like san francisco...18th St. and Guerrero around sunset. The girls will kill ya.

  • I LOVE her signature. Deborah was so lovely. :)

  • Haha! When she asked if she born in France, I think she'd guess it was Leslie Caron. 'Cause Deborah does sound like her!! Genius!

  • Thanks so much for this - I haven't seen it before! Tomorrow is 30 September...lt us all remember Deborah on her birthday.

it was quite a tragic affair.

  • ohh my goodness.

    i love her SO much.

    you don't even know. :)

    thanks for posting! <3

  • Absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

  • Absolutely. That WAS a funny accident considering her real voice.

  • Could someone tell me if June Allyson was ever on this show and is there any video of her on it?

  • Allyson appeared as a mystery guest maybe four times in the late 1950s and early 1960s. When her husband Dick Powell appeared (last time?) sometime in 1961? 1962? she was hovering backstage and Daly called her out for a curtain call. GSN has broadcast Kinescopes of her mystery guest appearances in recent years.
