I wonder what jokes he'd be doing on Bill 1867 and the FEMA Death Camps to be put into gear soon. It's a comedians wet dream to do jokes about millions of Americans getting exterminated! He would have had so much fun! Watch their stupid sorry fucken heats roll in the baskets! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
thanks for the uploads, magnificent thought provoking selection, unfortunately they keep me the cynical bastard I have become. Peace to you & George Carlin.
I love Pryor, I love Bruce, I love Hicks, I love Cosby. But the legendary George Carlin ranks far above any stand-up comedian who has ever graced a stage. I think only Newton, Mozart, and Einstein are guys who maybe rank higher on my list of most brilliant people of the last millennium. He transcended comedy. He is, in a nusthell, an incredibly exemplary human being.
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. An artist, a genius, a true gentleman.
I sure wish i could read some of those 1500 text files he had in his computer.
I like how hereferenced a lot of talented comedians, but i'm surprised he never mentioned Bill Hicks, another comic genius and rebel like himself, i'm sure he must have at least heard of him.
George Carlin's voice will forever be a shining beacon to guide humanity in the right way, if we ever choose to listen...
Rest in peace dear Georgie, thanks for being there for us, you had the power to make people think better and question better. You will be in remembrance forever.
A great listen from which new talent should learn about how to develop----AND, Let's hope that someday they publish George Carlin's Left-Over Materials---he says at 25minutes that he had 1500 unused files on his computer!
I could listen to George Carlin talk and impart his wisdom forever... Hands down the BEST comedian ever... He died way to early... God, I wish he was still alive...
That we don't have a giant of goodness and humour such as Carlin amongst us anymore just adds to the pain of evil money grabbing, power hungry sphincters like Pat Robertson and Henry Kissinger just not wanting to die.
theorem [Gr. theoréma a principle arrived at by speculation] a proposition capable of demonstration or proof. -- Fr. p. 1824 of "Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary -- 29th Edition (2000) ...also fr. p. 1824: theory [Gr. theoria : speculation as opposed to practice] 1. the doctrine or the principles underlying an art as distinguished from the practice of that particular art. 2. a formulated hypothesis, or loosely speaking, any hypothesis or opinion not based upon actual knowledge.
Destroy Christianity in America & you open the door to autocracy. This is the why the Bill of Rights is modeled after the Ten Commandments. The Founders wrote it. They preached it. Laws are based on philosophies {community standards, common law, tradition, logic} and must be enforced. Enforcement entails punishment. Laws aren't suggestions; they are commands. The goodness or righteousness of a statute is always up for debate which is why prisons are so popular.
George told it like was, Like it or not he brought alot of truth into the spotlight about how we as human beings live in todays world. He pointed out how the stupid things in life take control of our lives instead of common sense taking control.
Bravo, bravo that you see the light.. I am sure you will soon do away with the satan of this material world which does not benefit anybody when you finally find your self in the grave being questioned by the Angels of the all pawerful God,that day the disbelivers and killers of Gods humanbeings without reason will be seen in a terrible state in the fire of hell.
A truly great man. I have met a few people who say his comedy was too harsh. Some said he was an asshole. This is not true. If one actually stops and pays attention to the man, they will realize he was a brilliant & always improving comedian, as well as a good person. He taught me to think and ask questions when the world around me would not. Whether or not he ever meant to have any effect on people, he did anyway. I'm glad I was one of them.
A lot of Carlin's fans are exuberantly, almost ecstatically in his corner in almost all things.
It's probably one of the times where almost all of it is entirely deserved.
I would not say, however, that he was a "Comic Genius." because while his talent was enormous, "Genius" just doesn't fit his style. He's much more the sort of plodding, dogged sort, who puts a lot of work into it, and thus accomplishes a lot more than someone who just has occasional flashes of genius.
anyone who is extremely good in doing what they do either occupation or hobby can be considered a genius in that field michael jordan for example can be a basketball genius
interesting... but did not Newton possess genius? he most certainly backed up his intelligence with hard work and scientific rigor...And i feel like it's the same with Carlin
I love hearing some George that I haven't heard. I always look everywhere for anything with him in it because his comedy, intellect, questions, etc. etc. has been a huge part of who I am. What a comic genius!

It's hard to gauge Newton's relative intellect, being as he's been dead for so long, and so little of the man remains.
It's certain that he had an edge over his contemporaries, to be sure.
There are also those who'd say that hard work is itself a form of under appreciated genius, if that's what you were saying.
