i have this edition..... its the exact same but i do like "The Art of Spore" book and the "how to make a better creature" movie but it has almost nothing to do with spore so its a bit of a failure

There hit a comet down on a planet with life, and on land, Spore: Galactic Edition! Then some creature found it and looked at it's content. It found the DVD "The Making of Spore" and said "Ooooh, I always have wondered how my galaxy was created!", then finds the exclusive poster and says "Ooooh, this will dress my nest greatly!", then finding blah blah blah... And when it is done looking did a artifact hunter steal it, when the creature says "I saw that first!" While the answer was "No.". Done.

I find Maxis/EA's continuation of the Spore theme personally insulting. I purchased Spore after reading advertising material and seeing demonstrations of the game promising evolution in a box from a science perspective. Instead I got a basic creature editor and a simplistic world to walk around. its not even decent, its below average. Sins of the solar empire is much better. make another evolution game for older people.

the normal one is just the game.

The galactic edition has a bunch of bells and whisels. and it comes with the game. The games are the same but the galactic edition just is sorta like the colectors edition.

It works on XP and vista, and as long as you don't want everything on high detail, your comp will run it smoothly ^^

To run the game it requires a Geforce 6200 and up, the 6150 is not one of the supported video cards by the game. 1Gb or more of ram would help too.

Spore is a fabulous game, it's concept is amaizing BUT EA marketing is killing it. I'm sure that by this date SPORE would have more players than WoW if everything contained in galactic edition would have been there since vers 1.0. Oh yeah and Galactic edition isn't imature, it's just pure fun and more importantly a goal for the space stage and a simple tutorial on how to create your own levels and maybe your own game. I personaly just love indie games:D

Galactic Edition and Galactic Adventures are two totally different things. Galactic Edition is the regular Spore game with some extra booklets and DVDs and stuff. Galactic Adventures is an expansion on Spore. If you already have Spore, get Galactic Adventures. If you don't, get either regular Spore or Galactic Edition (although Galactic Edition costs more).
