  • You should check out our version it's amazing as well

  • I believe it sounds beautiful and bravo ladies

  • Do you even know what you're talking about? no.

  • Beth is really flat the whole song.

  • i think it was alright but i don't get what the stage is supposed 2 be beth is supposed to be dying and she seems all happy in this vid and they are in cape cod when this song is sung

  • Great!! I think that Beth is good but Jo is good also.... Beth does have a strong voice but Jo can still sing.. I thought it was good

  • i love the tone of jo's voice! which it was a better video so i could judge the acting. beth's vocie is good and all, but she doesn't seem like she's dying. it was a little happy, as shadowgloria said.

  • the beth sounds so sickly sweet! no megan mcginnis!!

  • OK, I just couldn't help commenting once again. After watching a gazillion videos of this song, most of them absolutely horrible, especially those played by professionals, I have to tell you again how lovely you girls are. And BTW, I know how everyone's saying Beth is great (which she is) but, personally, I really loved Jo. No, really, you two together are the perfect Beth and Jo. I'm telling you this being an acting teacher myself :)

  • in my HS' performance of little women, beth was in a wheelchair. somehow, it made it a little sadder. i was in tears - everyone was.

  • I like beth's voice a lot. I agree with milesfile77...jo's voice isn't strong enough for her character... I still like her voice but it doensn't fit her character good job!

  • a little pitchy at times. but ok.

  • i like Beth's voice. It's beautifull...perfect for the character. Jo's voice isnt believeable to me. Great voice. But not convincing. Jo is the force that keeps Beth strong. She is the strength of this show. and i dont feel that at all from this particular singer.

  • As for the lack of wheelchair...my local professional theatre is doing this show now. Before we stuck with using a cane, Jo actually has a line that says "Come, out of the chair. Help me put this kite together." She says that right after Marmee leaves. As for the singing, it's very beautiful. The only bit of advice I have is to beware of being too happy. Remember: Beth is on her deathbed. Yes, she's accepted death, but that doesn't mean she has to be happy about leaving her loved ones.

  • I saw the broadway cast and Beth is not in a wheelchair. This is when they are at the ocean and Beth is very weak and stubbles severals times and needs a little support from Jo, but never in the show is she in a wheelchair, she gets bedridden.

  • Um she is in a wheelchair. Then Jo helps her up to fly the kite.

  • You girls are lovely singers :) I love musicals and you're terrific. Greetings from far, far away in Bulgaria.

    Yana

  • I like it. It's good.

  • Yaayy.. kite cutting lol. Well, we did this for a broadway variety show type thing. We couldn't go into detail and what not if we wanted to. We just wanted to get the general idea and beauty of the song out. ^__^

  • um for eric brit..um im playing beth right now and yesh shes in a *BEACH STROLLER*...wheel chair watever..she has scarlet fever...yes, but she gets out of the chair at the beginning of the song. an i LOVE that ya'll didn't use a kite. fucking, this song can suddenly become about a fucking kite..we're not using one either. so yay for cutting the kite.

  • I don't know if you guys know, but Beth is supposed to be in a wheelchair, because she's sick and all.

The girl playing Beth is very good -- the only piece of advice I could give is to cut back on the vibrado some. It can overpower the notes if you're not careful.

  • And I know in some versions, including the tour, she's not, but in all actual versions, or at least all accurate versions, she is. It doesn't matter to much, though.

    Good job, though.

  • Wait, the one I saw with Sutton Foster (when the video was still on here) Beth was definitely not in a wheel chair. Perhaps the director changed it?

  • I guess so... that's weird. I mean, she doesn't have to be in a wheelchair, I guess... as long as she's sick, it doesn't matter.

    Very good job, though.

  • Ha... sorry, I replied on my other account accidentally.

    Whatever.

  • There was a clip on here? Oh no, now I have to find it...it has to be SOMEWHERE on the web!

  • I just would like to say, that I saw this when you guys did it at Stars, and I thought it was awesome! I totally respect Veronica (right? the one in the green? =]])for taking it down cause she was sick, for sake of the song. You guys are freakin amazing! Im lookin foward to seeing you guys at States in Alice!
