  • I remember being allowed to get up out of bed to watch them on the Ed Sullivan TV show... given a choice of the times that I'd have loved to see them, in person, would have to be this one.... Yeah, I'd go into a 'it'll kill you in 24hrrs time machine' and be on that rooftop.... Wonder if they'd let me play along :-) No, never mind.

  • These are the geniuses together for the last time. I still love them.

  • How much I would have paid to see The Beatles just once...

  • The police preferred the police :P

  • she's so heavy...madam george/loretta martin, (alias's from over 50 years ago)

  • Occupy London in 1969. The Beatles were the first ones to do everything.

  • people should stop and hear the music now and then.

  • What about that nigga among the beatles?

  • @SCOPOtuaMADRE - He's playing keyboards and did so more than once

  • i can see how lennon thought mccartney was trying to be the frontman of the band

  • Comment removed

  • The Late Billy Preston Playing Keyboards. What a band! :)

  • The time where you don't see people holding up their cameras/phones to record this. times changed

  • why does this song have so much swagger to it. its just sooo coool. why are the 60s cool? its too cool

  • 1:38.........it doesn't need to make sense honey... its just music

  • lived through the 60s.it was a blessing time. now its all gone downhill. nowadays stars, well what stars? complete assholes

  • the beatles' songs are the bests of all the time

  • How lucky were the people in that crowd getting to see the Beatles last live concert!

  • @buttanife420 "Well, I think the Beatles are crackin', you know, certainly I -- you can't beat them I said, I... the... they're all out on their own and, in a style of their own, and they, uh, well in my opinion I think that th... a lovely--a lovely crowd, they got good... good qualities, they sing well, and uh, well what else can I say but they're... they're real good people."

  • @ 2:12... what a pisser. "a bit of an imposition" "disrupting business"... so go back to work.

  • 1:39 Shut up you old bitch.

  • @AdamCKY123 She's long dead.

  • 43 years ago today

  • The only reason I want time travel to be invented is so I can go back in time and watch the Beatles live. Even if the effects of radiation will kill me within 24 hours. It wouldn't stop me

  • @routeski but then would listen to the music in this time period? if everyone who liked the beatles went back to the 60s then there would be no one left to listen to them and they would be forgotten.

  • How loud could they have been with those small amps?

They must have offened the Brit sense of proper decorum.

  • Guess you had to be there

  • "Is it their new record? Oh good, I'm all in favor of it!"

    Rock on brother.

  • What's with the double letterboxing?

  • 0:27, what the hell did he say, it looks sub-titled in german and he speaks english but i think i undestood the german sub-titile better lol

  • @buttanife420 haha i was the same, but i figured out he says "i think the beatles are crackin'" then continues mumbling on ;)

  • man this is great. first live performance in years and even though they couldn't stand each other the chemistry was just as fantastic. but my how the look and the music had changed. from moptops to long haired hippie prophets.

  • listen to these music makes me feel happy but then i remember "mark david chapman...."

  • "One after 909" is not bad.It sounds really good

  • The the police who stop the rooftop concert the Beatles were performing an outdoor lunchtime concert !

  • @stingray4real ...and it was free

  • It makes me cry to know how the time as gone. They were the very best of the best

  • 6 people are the police

  • Ringo said his only disappointment when the cops stopped the show was that he did not get arrested.

  • i think that these concert is take from a video projector..and its not the original if you know what i mean...can someone tell me if im right or wrong? and would there be a chance to get the original in HD?

  • @Hendrixonas Are you retarded?

  • @Ejkicksarse no im not.. its my point of view ...just look at the video it looks very small and on the center...like someone recorded with a camera from a old video projector...and it looks blury....maybe im wrong

  • And.... I bet all those pigs still justify their stupidassness. Someone should interview those asshats just to prove what total pigs they are.

For normal folks, "I broke up the rooftop concert," would be a moment of reflection and shame. But pigs have no shame. They're never wrong, because they're authoritarians, and authority can never be wrong, especially when faced with happy music and happy people. Why do you think the pigs hated Bob Dylan?

Yes, I called them pigs. Ask your parents.

  • @NeuralSimulation

    Wow. Aren't you cool?

  • it makes sense old lady because it's the beatles

  • Being born in 1996 sucks...

  • @NotepadBoy09 Agreed.

  • @NotepadBoy09 Hey me 2 :)

  • @NotepadBoy09

It's just nostalgia. Cool people hated the Beatles in the 1960s. Their fan base was teenage girls, and old people.

They've only become super cool over the last 20 years. Nostalgia basically.

You know, in 50 years time, a lot of bands about now will get the nostalgia treatment. People will be loving them

  • @MrCeej9999 Cool people hated the EARLY Beatles. 1962-65. The Love Me Do, I Wanna Hold Your Hand mop tops with the silly antics. Yes, they were not taken as serious artist at first (although they could nonetheless rip some great R&B riffs and vocals on songs like I Saw Her Standing There and She's A Woman). Starting with Rubber Soul in '65, serious artists started taking notice of them. Then they released Sgt. Peppers and it was all over then. They conquered all after that.

  • @MrCeej9999

That's so true, I've been trying to tell people that for a long time.

  • @NotepadBoy09 When it comes to the Beatles, being born in 1980 isn't much better

  • @NotepadBoy09 the people who was born the day after that day... I think they killed themselves

  • @NotepadBoy09 Too bad, it was great then. No, I mean it was amazing.

  • @NotepadBoy09 I disagree, there are many great bands around today that make great music. And maybe some day it will be as loved and reveared as the Beatles.

  • @888888username he did not tell me much else he did see them a little bit however his view was mostly blocked he stood there with a crowd for a couple of minutes he did not even realise there was a camera there and he did hear the music quite well it was quite loud

  • I'm glad I live the time....what a day...wish I was there

  • I was on that street last year, looking up just wishing I was back there, then ......

  • 1:49-1:52/3 thats my dad!!! in blue top he is only 15 there (my dad has always looked older then he is) he was working and his boss asked him to see what that racket was so when he went to look he got caught on camera hahaha

  • now we all know y the were up on that roof....right????????.......john wanted the last time the beatles played live....he wanted every1 to b looking up....as if to god and the heavens.....true story...

  • 6 people are cops.

  • Fuck you Justin Beiber

  • i would love to get on the roof of my school and blast this entire album

  • @RobertSchuster81 just to teach everyone what real music is.

  • everybody had a wet dream, everybody saw the sunshine

  • @obamaizmanchurian I think it was the old people.

  • not represented that i can see is Billy Preston on the keyboards

  • Comment removed

  • people seemed to speak really posh those days, maybe not a bad thing, can't understand what the hell their talking about nowadays.

  • " Disrupt the business in this area", well their music made more money then your deals. Being a tosser you did not see history being made.

  • Un edited music ... Real music.. Hearing the mistakes or the quirks makes it music...

  • The police preferred the Rolling Stones

  • @DrakrSlyr the preferred The Police..xD

  • @DrakrSlyr But I prefer The Beatles...

  • @DrakrSlyr And thats why we hate the police..

  • se divertían!!!! \o/

  • Pc Plod Hello Hello - Do The Beatles live here ???

  • from 0:29 to 0:41 I didn't understand a word the man said. And I guess neither the guy who made the german subtitle...

  • @lester289 He said the beatles were a good crowd, sing well, and were lovely people.

  • Looking at George's pants, I'm guessing he had a tee time set for after the concert.

  • it's so beautiful so see them playing live

  • It isn't fair that there are so many people who weren't there at the concert who would have loved hearing them and so many people who just happened to be there who didn't give a fuck. This is why you pay money and go somewhere to see a concert these days. lol

  • i love that "BASSMAN" sticker

  • See 1:38. Old Lady: "I just can't see that they make sense." MHAHAHAHAHAHAH. LMAO.

  • A much cooler time. Even the chicks looked hotter.

  • In the beginning all the Establishment hated the Beatles. By the end of the sixties they won over most of the fuddy duddys. RESPECT!

  • 240p...we meet again

  • anyone wanna translate the old guy at the beginning?

  • @gutwringingmachine It was all good from an old cockney, "the boys play well".

  • @obamaizmanchurian hahah right? fuck cops

  • So thats where U2 got the the idea from!! Not very original Bono !!

  • 0:50; Pauls got a feeling and I believe him

  • Why not show george during that guitar solo ! :(

  • The dude at 1:50- 1:52 Looks like John Lennon Mixed with JIm Morrison! Anyone Agree?

  • 1:38-1:42

  • i did this once then the cops said i was distubing the peace

  • Classic genius from a group who will be miles better then anybody, ever.

  • @wisetrucker That's true the Beatles were amazing! but no where near as cool as the Rolling Stones and at their best the Stones were just more fun, just better not necessarily technically or vocally but as a band.

  • @charlieeloise The rolling stones Rule :)

  • @imaStonesFan The Beatles Rule, they are the daddies of the rolling stones.

Rolling stones were great, but not so great as The beatles

  • @anticochon1 Thats only your opinion dude.

  • @imaStonesFan I'm surprised that you commented on a Beatles video instead of an Anti-Beatles video since you hate them. One more thing, the Beatles VS The Stones debate is complete utter bullshit. It's pointless! You love the Stones, go for them. Though I pick the Beatles, I am a big Rolling Stones fan. Go punch the people who get mad at you for hating the Beatles. I could care less since the Beatles have more fans. Why should I force people to love the Beatles? Music is Music!

  • @anticochon1 Actually, is the opinion of the great music experts in the world. Magazines such as Rolling Stones had said that THE BEATLES IS THE BETTER BAND IN THE WORLD.... THEY CREATE A CHANGE, THEY WERE PART OF A REVOLUTION IN SOCIETY AND THAT IS NOT SUBJECTIVE THATS OBJECTIVE.. THEY SOLD MORE DISCS THAN THE ROLLING STONES, THEY CHANGE THE MUSIC, EVERYONE IN NOWADAYS LIKE THE BEATLES BUT THE ROLLING STONES?

  • @anticochon1 You can't say somthing like that. I am an avid BEATLES FAN but they where not the best... they where the first... to change music. before them it was Elvis...

The beatles was a POP group that a daughter could let meet her family... The ROLLING STONES was not.... They where the bad boy of POP at the time.

  • @charlieeloise I was never into the Stones that much, yes I like their music and still listen to some of it. The Beatles were never really a tour band, they revolutionized by the album trying to create the best they could. The Stones on the other hand liked to play live, so they were always in catch up mode.

  • Till this day I wonder how there wasn't mass hysteria on the streets. Like I mean crazy shit you know like girls taking off their panties and bras and cars weren't set on fire. I'm just saying... it was the Beatles! You can see how many haters when they interviewed the suits in the streets and were like "this is a terrible imposition to be done in the middle of the business day etc... I hope all those sons of a bitches realize NOW just how lucky they were!

  • @SaintJorge304 "Till this day I wonder how there wasn't mass hysteria on the streets. Like I mean crazy shit you know like girls taking off their panties and bras and cars weren't set on fire. I'm just saying... it was the Beatles!"

Ya don't think the Beatles inpsire violence, da?

I mean like this wasn't Korn or Nine Inch Nails at Woodstock revisited.

Or even Iron Butterfly or the Doors in the old days.

    Interesting topic to ponder though....

  • This video deserve to be remastered and put in a higher quality

  • Comment removed

  • The only thing i could get into is that people think, why on a rooftop so we cant see them

  • So you'd rather have good business than see the Beatles last live concert for free? Good effort prick.

  • Every time I listen to the album, I hear the woman's voice at 1:37... Scarred for life

  • How I wana go back in time

  • 6:27 john's all "oh Danny boy"

    what a charactor

  • 1:41

All this cant seem to make sense!

    lolz

  • The greatest act in the history of entertainment HANDS DOWN! No one before or after could do what they did for popular music. over 40 freaking years later and they still sound ground breaking. What a legacy Thank you Beatles for so much joy and pleasure. The soundtrack of my life

  • That clown is complaining about the disruption. He doesn't realize he's part of histroy.

  • BEATLES still Rocks! Thanks for the great music =)

  • lo mejor y lo ultimo de los beatles .

  • Bassman

  • 3 people had their businesses disrupted

  • ....first time I ever saw George play a Tele

  • and all those bautiful ppl are now like 59 years old

  • @billly728 Try 70 years old.

  • @billly728 All the old people in the video are mostly dead RIP

  • It seems that the being-the-greatest-band thing can't be switched on or off

  • I know that there was joke done on SNL about the Beatles reuniting. The thing is, if that actually happened, it might very well have been the greatest reunion of all-time. All four Beatles back together. It was the one and only time that could have happened. Some things just aren't meant to be.

  • It's easy to wonder what could have been if they had just put their egos to the side, but the fact is everyone in this band was too talented to stay together and make songs that each of them wrote. It was going to be either John or Paul's songs that the band would record so Ringo & George did not feel wanted more and more.

  • McCartney was the shit, great screamer...

  • Crazy awesome epic beast can't describe it in one word

  • What a bunch of stupid bastards those cops! Instead of organizing traffic and allowing the people to go up the buildings so they can watch the band play, they tell the Beatles to stop! What an infamy! Nobody realized at that moment that this would be the very last time they'd see/hear The Beatles play live! Hope those cops live in permanent remorse!

  • @drkam6 "Nobody realized at that moment that this would be the very last time they'd see/hear The Beatles play live!"

Are you fucking stupid? They stopped playing live over two years before this so it was pretty obvious that this was a farewell gig.

  • @TheKamanick How fucking retarded you are as it seems that you would not want even a single chance for The Beatles to play live again. That was an impromptu gig because the Let It Be project was a total mess. That gig should have been a celebration, all I'm saying is that instead they were penalized for doing it.

  • 3 dislikes? LETS FUCKING KEEEP IT THAT WAY

  • Looking at them playing together here you couldn't guess that they were at the end with Abby Road their upcoming last Album to be recorded. I think what killed them was all the post Rubber Soul Psychedelic crap. This is the kind of music they rocked in Hamburg, the Cavern, real rock n roll. Had they played more of this and stopped trying to be so clever. We were cheated of seeing Abby Road performed live because they wasted so much time on crap psychedelia and Savoy Truffles.

  • 4:02 most underrated song

  • 2:12-2:15.. fuck the business in the area..

  • @Julio1is3Awesome5 Cranky old people started much younger back then, apparently.

  • @Julio1is3Awesome5 Yeah Peter sellers is a hard case...:)

  • Why is the ad at the top right talking to me? I wanna hear music

  • So was This album considered rythm and bues? I really love it!

  • @112proof Most of what the Beatles did is considered a mix of genres best labeled as pop-rock, without today's negative connotations of pop. Very influenced by blues among other things.

  • Sigh... The Beatles. The Untouchables of the music world...

  • @3599515 u got that right....

  • i never really knew that the beatles were that cool, i heard they invented open roof top acts but not is this cool manner.

  • Hey get a band to play in support of the wall street occupation from a nearby roof top.

  • Those kids, and their rock and roll music. It's disrupting business in downtown London. *shake fist* But it's bloody good music.

  • u gotta dig pauls beard:D

  • I wonder if they told the police about this before hand? They look pissed lol.

  • @camdizzel - Of course they did not tell the police. It was radical 1960's rock n roll.

  • You go, Billy Preston!

  • greatest act in the history of entertainment

  • i think now this rooftop is the BBC

  • porque no ponen las cosas como va de el uno a 10

  • that needs to happen on the rooftops of NY,Washington,Moscow,Beiging-all over the world by musicians to demand to give peace & cooperation a chance:

as it stands, there is no chance........................

  • i bet those streets are very quiet now..........

  • #sortakindathebestbandever

  • Wow, I just love to see them playing music damn tightly on a rooftop without permission. And having just as much fun as ever, just looking older than than the last time they played live.

  • The greatest part is at this point they just didn't give a shit. They were told to turn it down. They said no. They were told they'd be arrested if they didn't stop playing, and they said fuck it. They wanted to be drug away from there instruments, they knew this was the last time, and what a memorie it would be if they were all arrested at their last gig. The Beatles just don't give a fuck.

  • @Neopolitannailguns Apologize for the spelling. A little bit tipsy. :D
