Just people who don´t have real love for this game can compare Pelé and Maradona or Cruyff or whatever.

I mean, you can make a choice for yourself (I love Maradona's imagination and dribbling and that make him my favorite, but I love the unique touch of Zidane too, or the unbelievable goalscoring hability of Romario and what can I say about Pelé, a real monster) but it doesn´t make any sense to state who is he greatest as if it could possible be stated. We just can enjoy them, and that´s a lot

I belong to the 50's generation and have seen great football players in my life but NONE like Pelé. Not only was he a very well built athlete but could also score with his both feet and what a header he was. By far more complete than Garrincha or Maradona who were mainly left-footers and seldom scored with their heads.

@zetros Pele could use both feet (Maradona not so much) and in technical terms virtually flawless. The guys club record speaks for itself, he dominated South American football in a time when it was arguably superior than the European game.

Pele and Maradona are from two different era's so it is very hard to compare.. so saying one is better than the other is a fruitless argument. Both had their unique styled both equally effective.
