Dont think I have really got the concept of that nike+ "chip" (for the shoes)... Why use that nike+ chip, when the iphone itself can track distance, pace, and so on?? Anyone who can enlighten me?
fukin apple...i bought a pair of nike shox today that has nike plus feature in them then i googled up some info and this WILL NOT work with the iPhone 3G!! like wtf...this works with everything else ipods etc but not the iphone 3G?! apple sucks....!
great vid i have a 3rd generation i touch do you have to have the piece that goes in your shoe and the piece that connects to your ipod? or with an i touch can you just use the app?
hi do I need to download the nike + app for my iphone=? I can't seam to find the icon on the main menu, how do you turn the running mode on, on the iphone? thanks mann
I use a Rocketfish armband, mainly because that's the only iPhone armband I could find at Best Buy after visiting several different stores (including an Apple store). Works just fine, except it gets soaked pretty quickly when you're running miles, and no, not heavy at all.
this may sound crazy but cause i run i have the itouch i drilled a hole in my shoe-like that one and out it in...its brilliant-and £50 cheaper...and did 10 miles with it
Excellent video!! Hilarious song! Question, did you buy the sport kit which i saw was $29, or did you just buy the sensor that was $19. I assume you only need the sensor with the 3gs, but I wasn't sure. Thankyou.
Great video, thanks for the insight.... Just picked up a 3G S, and was looking to invest in Nike+ for it.
Question (don't know whether you know the answer?): Do I need Nike+ trainers (due to the specific insole), or can I use any other trainers? I'm assuming this is where Nike are making a lot of money?!
To my knowledge, only Nike+ trainers have the insole slot in them. However I have found that people use ziploc and attach it to the laces, and Young Micro (on Amazon) sells an attachment for the laces. But most people probably won't bother with the trouble, so yes I'd imagine Nike is making a killing on this.
But I have no clue how those work compared to having the sensor in the shoe.
Nike+ Support
Place the sensor in your Nike+ Ready shoe correctly.
The sensor should be logo-up, with the Nike Swoosh logo pointing toward the heel.

@Kimkrog its fancier, no one really needs them. there is plenty of ways to know how much you ran/jogged.

i remember the time when the world is much more simpler, a person can run with his boxers on and nothing else.

Will the Nike+ sensor go into all Nike shoes?
bawz999 1 year ago
No. you need nike+ ready shoe. if the name of the nike shoe has a + in it. then its nike + ready.

You only need the piece that plugs into the iPod for the nano.

Thanks! You only need the sensor, so just the $19 one if you have the 3GS.
