I like fried clams.

I had a few today,

but I ate one of those clam bellies without knowing it was SO gross.

I eat the necks.

the belly just exploded in my mouth and I can't get the taste out.

When I was a kid, each summer we'd go to my grandmother's house "down the cape" (Onset) where we'd get penny candy and eat clam rolls with the full bellies - and we loved 'em!

Now, out here in California, you can never get clam bellies. I'm not sure if I could still eat them or if they'd gross me out now ;^)
