Obviouely in hindsight, we see thay did agree and they did get it, the problem is that Obama's team does NOT get it. And time is of the essence as, Japan is "tanking" and when this happens, it's highly probable the US economy will follow and this leaves it absolutely no choice, as then it MUST develop and implement the NEW economic paradigm as nothing else is possible, as a macro engine of growth to transform the results for recovery.
