@Splurge24 and Donna Murphy is no Maureen Lipman. Both women are wonderful actresses and both are very talented. However, I think that Rosalind Russell, the original Ruth in Wonderful Town on broadway, would enjoy the performances of both women.
This is interesting to see. But I find Miss Lipman's delivery a bit affected and unnatural, especially for a character who is supposed to be from Columbus, Ohio.
She sounds too "Neh Yawkish." She's an excellent dancer in spite of the raspy singing voice.
