this coaster may have a lot of reccords, but it's getting pretty outdated. steel force i like 100xs better. aero (coaster company that constructed this coaster) is out of a buissness for a reason! their track sucks. morgan is better. morgan replaces aero's lousy track. i say cedar point has morgan re track this beast and watch them have the best coaster possibly better than mf! that will never happen with this track. steel force is my fave out and back, it is much better!

@247webgirl When it debuted in 1989, it held the record for steepest coaster (60 degrees)... a pale comparison to todays coasters, including Millennium Force (80 degrees) and Maverick (95 degrees), and the steepest goes to Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingoland park in Malton, Yorkshire, England. It's drop is 112 degrees.
@BrianRobertsfan I wasn't impressed at all with I305. The trims on the drop completely kill it. Plus, I didn't like greying out in the first turn. If they can somehow fix the first turn in the off-season, and take the trims off, then I may change my mind about it. I enjoyed Intimidator at Carowinds far more than I did I305. In fact, IMO, Dominator is the best coaster at KD, followed by Volcano.
I remember as a kid in 94', driving around lake Erie. There it was lurking over all the other coasters. What great memories at Cedar Point. I can't wait to go back and feel like a kid for just 1 day.

The climb to the top is the worst part. Magnum is an all-out rush. Going over that second hill overlooking the lake then banking to the left into the first tunnel only to pop out onto one of the greatest air-time hills ever made...simply awesome. :-)

Yeah, if I remember correctly, it was one of the first 12 hour days of the season for the park. It was still in May or it was very early June so the crowds were small.
There aren't any lights on the ride aside from the lift hill. As you crest the 2nd hill, and look out over the lake, all you see is pitch black. Almost feels as if you're going to drop into a black hole. The ride is just a different animal at night I guess.
Sorry, I do not have any videos dedicated solely to Iron Dragon or Gemini. I do think though, that a Maverick video may be in the works. I've yet to look at the footage from this season completely.

Me and my dad rode LED ZEPPLIN THE RIDE he is 49. Unfortunately hard rock park has filed for bankruptcy. Look it up though, it is a fun ride.

I've visited many parks across the States and few come close to Cedar Point. This is my favourite coaster. The bunny hops on the way back are insane.

That is correct. Seat 1-3 is the "ejector seat". Ride with caution. haha.

My personal record for Magnum rides in a single day was 74. I did that in 2005. I rode from open til close, 10am-10pm.
