Beausia is a brilliant man. And thank you for speaking out also.
It's kind of stupid to point out 2 Asians in the audience who would laugh at anything. It's like going to their face and saying "You're dumb" and their reaction would be laughing their butts off.
You're impersonation of Rosie is spot on, that's why it shouldn't be offensive, lol. 'Ching Chong' is not even close to being Chinese. If she even imitated true words and not based on racial slurs, then it would have been alright.
If the joke was about Chinese I could understand the uproar, but it was a comment on the media. Even over in China they're gonna have this unimportant story was her point. But that's not why ye'all offended. No. If she took three months of Chinese first we'd have no problem! I live in Taiwan. A restaurant here was called "Concentration Camp" w/pics of starving/dying Jews. Really swank place for Taiwanese. Please comment on this if you're really such champs of social justice. + Clay was personal
dude...wtf, i know you made this comment 7 months ago or watever, but you wrote this message out in another vid too... why...
yes rosie was talking about the media, der...the problem is like the way she underlayed her ccomments with asian (not just chinese) racial slurs whether intentional or not and then backed her comments up with 'i was being entertaining' and speaking japanese yiddish or something. and whats with the judging a nation on one taiwanese restaurant? btw im aussie for reference.
I love you man! Thanks for supporting Beau Sia's videos...And I absolutely, completely agree with you about her feelings towards Kelly and Aiken, and her stupid answer towards the Asian accent. I wrote about a paper on Asian stereotypes and racism and this was mentioned on there! Any how, cool
thanks kmorgan, im half asian and i felt it. it's incredible that someone will sit up there and actually tell you what u feel is not what u should feel just like moonraise. i think i know why they call him moon cause that way of thinking is out of this world
true, you're absolutely right. I agree with you 100%, those who can't understand her remarks, can't really understand how people could feel offended, and it really hurts how someone would think its silly that we find it to think that we're overreacting, because to me I've had to grown up hearing that "ching chong" and it wasn't a playful meaning either. I mean its like the "n" word to a black or cracker to a white. It's just a word, yeah, layered with a a deep meaning.
On beau sias' vlog:The saying is, "immitation is the sincerest form of flattery." If you don't think her immitation was very good - fair enough. But don't pretend she was trying to slur all Asians by making a bad immitation. It seems to me this is really a way for latent homophobes to pile on. It's a more respectable form of sanctimoneous gay bashing - especially that implied threat at the end of your angry rant. Get the log out of your own eye homophobe.
Maybe you meant to reply to beau with this remark. Is there a threat at the end of my video? Anyway, I read what you posted on beau's video thread, and you are just trying to stir up trouble. And you try to discredit beau? Incredible.
if you'd seen any of Beau Sia's slams you'd know he isn't homophobic, and nothing in his video suggests that he is. And if you're going to base your argument on aphorisms, then it may be true that "immitation is the sincerest form of flattery," but this was "damning with faint praise."
Great vid resp. Truthful and no hate. But asumming Ro wdn't appol. Unfair. Things change when ppl educate & not trash. I asked many ppl on many sites to tell me WHY, in THEIR words it offended. Instead, I was called a fat, crptmunching lesbo-Rosie lvr(and this is cleaned up!). I'm far from fat & a gay MALE. Ro has seen this and has apologized in hr blog, has answered Q's on this and states "beau sia is brilliant and made me realize the seriousness of my words" (I paraphrase) Educate! Don't Hate!
kmorgan26: I agree, he was more offended by her defense. However, it really did make the news in China! That's the hillarity! I have a Japanese sister-in-law who is teaching in China with my cousin. She says that commedians in her country and China are very offensive in their stand-up in regard to Americans. It always depends on which end of the joke you're on and if u can laugh at yourself.
Very nicely put. It's great to hear from someone who isn't Asian-American and it really helps, because some people think we (I am Asian, myself) are overreacting. It's not publicized very well, but Asians deal with the same problems other minorities do, but Asians tend to be more passive about it.

Thanks for the update. And yes, it was unfair for me to assume she wouldn't apologize. Good job Rosie!
I also don't think that beau was offended by the initial comments as much as he was her defensive reaction she had to the criticism she received.
