How to Install a Sidekick LX Theme to your phone

@devonmascow I don't know. I never had that version, but I believe they do all work similiar and have the same folder scheme. Good Luck!

@whodosentlovemakeup Once you have extracted the files and put them in the theme folder on your Sidekick you will need to remove the sidekick from the computer and then change your theme, it should now be there if it was put it in the right folder hierarchy.

@pinkyalaa Sorry, the only one I have owned is the LX model. My new LX model is thinner and has a HD screen. Has facebook, myspace and twitter apps. It is a MP3 player, takes pictures and records video. I love it!

I plugged in the USB cable and it worked. But when I double clicked on my removable disk, it doesn't work it says to erase my data or something like that . Please help . Thaaannks.

@Contagiousxp Instead of double clicking on it can you right click and select "open" or "open as portable device? If you still can't open I would put another usb device in your slot to test the port.

Can you use any USB cable or does it half to be a specific one. And I used a random cable, and the auto play won't pop up. Can someone help me.

@Contagiousxp You can use any USB cable. If the window doesn't auto pop open you can double click on "my computer" and navigate to the sidekick this way.

@froghacker18 If you can't see the themes, they were probably placed in the wrong folder. Also, you will want to remove the sidekick from the PC before viewing your themes. If you have never moved themes to your phone you will want to create a new folder on your phone when it is plugged into your computer. Call it "theme".

@froghacker18 NEXT Then when you extract your theme and copy it to your phone you will place the new theme folder lets inside the "theme" folder. So you have your phone and then you have your "theme" folder and then you have lets say "star wars theme" folder and then inside of that folder are all of the files for your theme. I hope this helps.

How come when i put the theme in my themes folder it doesnt pop out?

When you have your "Theme" folder on the phone the theme you are putting on the phone, lets call it ABC theme as an example, needs to be directly in that folder. When you look at the directory on your phone you should have your Main Theme folder, ABC Theme Folder and then you have all the individual files.

Sometimes when you unzip a file it will put your folder in another folder of the same name. IF this happened it might look like: main Theme folder on your phone, ABC theme folder, ABC theme folder, individual file folders. I know this sounds confusing. I think I have confused myself in the explaining!
