  • What seat was this?

  • @TSBA92 Seat 11A

  • GE90 And Roll Royce Trent 800 which of the two is more powerful and efficient ?

  • @francisville1 The Rolls Royce is preffered by the majority of airlines though the GE's are good as well. Overall the Rolls Royce edges it with performance, efficiency and range. However the new Rolls Royce 1000 outclass every GE and Pratt & Witney engine currently available. I love GE and Rolls Royce but hate Pratt & Witney lol

  • Thats an apron outside the terminal. Guess gate (w/ jetways) parking was full. All airports have outside parking. Some even lack Terminal parking w/ jetways.

  • Yeah...they fly 747-400's to lagos, Nigeria....you ever been?

  • Building? So Heathrow is building covered walk ways...?

  • Never take those seats on aircraft !. In case on UEF you're done.

  • nice video!!!!!!!! im travelling to nigeria in 2 weeks time with BA !! cant wait!!!!!!!! :)

  • @unchenchen Have a great flight. I believe BA flies 747s to Nigeria? Been a long time since I flew on a 747. I'm envious :)

  • @2pb yh 747s to fly to nigeria!!!! ahhhhhhh cant wait!!!!!!!!

  • I like this vid - starting with the air stairs - all planes should be boarded this way! Also, I imagine those were the Pyrenees, since London to Accra is absolutely due south, right down the Greenwich meridian.

  • @antimatterXXXIII Airlines risk lawsuits from people slipping and falling on the ramp during bad weather which is why they shelter you from the elements

  • I don't know why, but I like Rolls Royce Trent 800 over GE90 for some reason. Maybe it's because the Trent 800's deep roar and exotic spool up. But I also like the GE90 - The most powerful jet engine ever built!

  • @raykrislianggi

    Same here!

  • hey where did you fly to on the 777 with GE engines and did BA ever take the 777 with GE engines to Accra please reply.

  • @KYLEAKAFLYBOIK The majority of my flights, see my other videos, are from Gatwick Airport to Barbados. I believe BA only fly GE 777s out of Gatwick.

Heathrow is the luck of the draw. My flight to Accra as shown was a Rolls Royce equipped 777, however the return flight was done by a GE 777.

  • Hi, I just wondered what was your seat number on this 777-200? Are you in business or first?

  • @walkerob92 G-YMMC is a 3 class 777 without First class. I believe I was in seat 11A in business.

  • @2pb Thanks so much! I perfer flying from LHR rather than LGW i loath that airport

  • Very bumpy runway lol.

  • hey i was wondering if ur camcoeder was ok after taking the vid of the takeoff.the flight crew tells u not to use it for some reason

  • Nice video. **You think these engines are huge, they are no much to the A380's.

  • @Physicspilot **no match.

  • @Physicspilot Don't agree with you on this one . The GP7270 (A380) has a length of 474cm, diameter 316cm and dry weight 6712kg, producing 363 kN maximum thrust at sea level.

The GE90 has a length of 729cm, diameter 340cm and dry weight 7550kg / 8283kg (depending on model), producing 417 kN / 513kN maximum thrust at sea level (again depending on model)

Verdict - GE90s are larger, heavier and more powerful than GP720s. The GP720 has a good thrust/weight ratio given its smaller size though,

  • @2pb Haha yeahp..you got me!!

  • id imagine how big the engine would be being next to a ge 90 lool

  • Glad you enjoyed your trip to Ghana .Hope you visit again.Like your video very factual and educative keep the videos flowing and thanks for sharing your talent.

  • @francisville1 Thank you for the kind words!

  • Did you like the RR T's? Nice going up the steps and being engulfed by them. They give me goose-pimples.

  • @viceroytennis Yes they are nice engines but I like the sound of the GE-90s more (see my Barbados videos ). The RRs have a deep and powerful drone while the GE90s have a lovely whine.

  • the 777's got HUUUGE engines!

  • My Goodness! The Engines !

  • Awesome video! Whats terminal 5 like? I've only been in 1 and 4 and British Airways ended service's to my hometown airport so I don't know when I'm gonna be able to expirence it

  • @TSBA92 Thanks for the compliment. I did enjoy my T5 experience. It is a huge terminal with lots of open space and natural lighting. The check-in was smooth and security was quick and painless. Oh and it has a Starbucks in departures - all that matters :) I wasn't that overjoyed at having to take a bus to the aircraft, but hopefully that will no longer be an issue when Terminal 5 C is complete.

  • I've never been to Africa, but I'd love to go! How did you like Ghana?

  • @dave4shmups Personally I love Ghana but I hate the stomach bugs! I was affected badly on this trip and needed to visit a doctor. That aside it is a nice place to visit, though it can get very hot, and the people are friendly.

  • i love it when you step off the plane and the heat hits your face... ahhhhh..bliss

  • how did u get away with filming this i always seem to get caught

  • how long is the flight?

  • Around 6 and a half hours.

  • Nice vid, but consider investing in one of the latest compacts which can record in HD like the Panasonic DMC-ZX1 if you're going to be flying a lot. That way, you can record in a resolution of 1280x720 which can also be viewed full screen without pixelating.

The ZX1 will only set you back around £200.

  • Thanks for the advice. I coaxed every pixel I could out of my ancient Sony DV handycam, but the results pale in comparison to the more modern HD capable jobs. Interestingly enough a friend has the very same camera you recommend - I was impressed by the quality. My only gripe is that "compacts" are limited to around 15 minutes recording time max.

  • Yes, that 15 min limit is a bit of a bind. But a decent camcorder which can record in HD is going to set you back at least 3 times the price.

The Panasonic HDC-TM300 which includes 32GB internal flash memory and also works with SDHC cards up to 32GB has some rave reviews around the web, but will set you back £788 at Amazon.

    Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

  • Thank you. Do send me an invitation when your business opens!

  • +I always wanted to open a Restaurant/Hotel in Ghana...nice video !!!
