People keep saying "the new AFI" or "the old AFI", except, all there is now is AFI. A band changes over time. If someone said your partner was cheating on you, you'd be pissed. The next day, you get the real story, and your opinions change. With the change of the band members comes a change in music and that's just how it is. As for the T-shirts I've never seen them - I can't comment on that . However I remember correctly that Davey mentioned in one interview that he never was a fan of genres but in music in general.
