Sus Temas Mas conocidos son Como: For your love (1965), Louise(1963), Heart full of soul(1964), Shapes of things(1966), Train Kept A-Rollin' (1966). Después de la disolución del grupo formó un dúo acústico con su compañero de los Yardbirds Jim McCarty, y los grupos Renaissance (que incluyó a su hermana Jane Relf) y Armageddon.
The glasses were a combination of copying the blues artists and the secret sign of being a"head". A head of course was a weed smoker. The glasses were everywhere by 1969.lol.
@skidrowjosephine It was a fad popular in the era. It was started by Roy Orbison who was very nearsighted, but not blind. He broke his regular glasses when he was touring in England in the early '60s. He didn't have time to get a new pair before a show and he knew he'd trip and fall down. So someone in his band suggested he wear his prescription sunglasses ... Not perfect, but better than nothing. Not only did it spark a huge fad in England, but he wore them on stage for the rest of his life.
OH.....I may be in the "older" bracket...I adore all music from the '50's right up to this very day of the year 2011........but this era,the 60's into the 70's will forever have a special place in my heart--my soul--my memories. The Beatles,Rolling Stones,Animals,Kinks, Yardbirds,Donovan,Fleetwood Mac,Gene Pitney,Beach Boys,Manfred Mann,The Shadows,The Troggs,"Them",Roy Orbison....so,so many more.......maybe one day they will rise yet again ........youth of the future will just adore them all!
Then you find the Yardbirds boring because they're the only thing in this clip. Keep watching hip hop videos kid - you obviously can't appreciate mid 60's rock. You remind me of many of my 8th and 9th grade students. They won't watch any black and white films because they're "boring".
@StevenTut Too bad we don't share same sense of humor. I just found funny that they actually got McCarty shown yawning on TV during the show, you don't get such falvours today, cause everything is so polished and sterile and that I found boring. You see, that's why brats don't show you respect. You don't do it yourself insulting me with some hip-hop symphatizing not even suspecting I appreciate this music probably more than you, cause I had no chance to experience it when it was revolutionary.
AHHH, where have all these great sounds gone? Glad to see Jeff playing the Tele. Seems he never let it go. The music now-a-days is pure junk....really ! ! Thanks for posting !
They have been allowed to play live! Sound just like the record (which was probably done with a couple of microphones in 30 minutes with no autotune). Fantastic! Beck in a suit and tie ~ and was that a hint of a smile? Thanks for the upload. Love the audience shot ~ surely this was NOT the normal YB fan base ~ preppies, mothers and kids!

Los precursores del hard rock y el heavy metal, hasta antes de Zeppelin era lo más pesado que habia, incluso más que The Who, Kinks o the Creation

Those guitar leads were radical stuff in those days. This was coming out of the Pat Boone era.
Jeff Beck is famous, but he is underappreciated.

@blue222blue - Oh great. That means Bieber is the start of another Boone cycle.

@7855waldo
Does that mean we have to endure a Beiber heavy metal phase when we get old? :-0

@blue222blue - Naw. He'll go right to the Drugged Elvis stage, hopefully.

This sounds authentically live, as opposed to the common (at the time) practice of playing the studio backing track and having only vocals sung live.

Wow, love that Tele twang that Jeff is getting on his axe. Single-coil Pus rule for clarity and purity of tone.

When I was a kid I thought this was the theme song from a Western movie. It still sounds right, just change the words.
