  • My psychiatrist just put me on this a couple weeks ago. I am already experiencing memory loss, and even before I was on Abilify, I was suicidal.

  • "ask your doctor if you think abilify is wrong for you". well if he gave it to me he obviously doesn't think so. (absolutely not to say that doctors are always right or that they don't have their own agenda at times)

  • Side effects (also called “adverse reactions”) are the body’s natural response to having a chemical disrupt its normal functioning.

One could also say that there are no drug side effects, these adverse reactions are actually the drug’s real effects; some of these effects just happen to be unwanted.

  • I was prescribed this medication. They wanted $680.00 for 30 pills. Did'nt get it.

  • Psychiatric medicines are easily a trap.

Abilify **seems** to be (I don't know) kind of medicine that makes you worse when you use it and BETTER when you withdraw. HEALING drug (long-term) instead of MASKING (ultimately killing) drug. At least one psychiatrist recommended it.

  • These drugs originate from the chemical phenothiazene, which was used as synthetic dye in 1883. In 1934 Phenothiazene was used by the veterinary practice as an insecticide and extended for killing swine parasites; phenothiazene affects the brains Acetlycholinergic System and results in lethal increases of acetlycholine in the periphery and central nervous system of insect and swine parsites !!

Thats why your muscles "bug out" like that on abilify.

  • abilify is a scam

  • @AkathisiA101

You're now locked into a life-time diagnosis, needing life-time treatment. Meanwhile, I'll get life-time payments: either from you or from your health insurance."

I'll never get questioned by anyone. And, if the scam is found out, I've got peers and attorneys to cover it up."

"The shame...is on you." your a nut case.

  • I understand that "abilify" cannot restore any of my physical or psychological functions "back to normal." Rather, the drug is expected to produce many new disorders in my brain and body !

  • I would have to agree that it's surprising that Bristol Meyers Squibb doesn't publicly refute their former spokesman's claims about the dangers of abilify. I'm curious why @legend3061 continues a regular attack against Behrman. It leads me to believe that he either has a personal gripe with Behrman or is jealous. Or perhaps, he is being directed by BMS or maybe even paid.

  • @afrustratingmess I'm not jealous of him, just disappointed that people are buying into his bullshit for the umpteenth time.Andy Berhman is a self important, egomaniac. I'm shedding light on this devious yuppie's past so that the unbalanced people that are actually listening to his propaganda know a little bit more about who it's coming from. I'll say again, BMS isn't defending themselves from berhman because there is no reason why they should. Believe me, I am not a big pharma secret agent.

  • Long term Use of Abilify Questioned

The growing use of a popular drug in the long-term treatment of bipolar disorder is based largely on a single, flawed clinical trial that may be steering doctors and patients away from drugs with a more established track record, a new review published in the journal "PLoS Medicine" suggests.

  • Information is only as good as the credibility of it's source. This is why it might not be a good idea to take medical advice from a convicted fraud, former male stripper, former coke addict, electroshock therapy recipient, and narcissist. You wonder why Abilify doesn't publicly refute his claims? I wonder why anyone would accept them. If you want legitimate information, get it from a journal or a professional, someone with a modicum of medical expertise instead of a pissed of ex employee

  • @legend3061 And what is the "medical advice" he is supposed to be giving? What? Ask your DOCTOR is abilify is wrong for you. That's actually good advice to ask your Doctor if you shouldn't be taking something.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS:

Parents are being mislead by a multi billion-dollar a year child drugging industry that a diagnoses of "mental disorder" (ADHD, Bi-Polar, Social Anxiety Disorder) are medical diseases or illnesses. This is a fraud. No child has a brain scan, blood test, X-Ray or any evidence of physical abnormality to verify they are "ill" or "diseased."

This has led to over 8 million children in the U.S. taking mind-altering psychiatric drugs.

  • Excellent PBS program that shows how todays kids are being turned into nothing but unnecessary customers for pharmaceutical and medical industry. Frontline -The Medicated Child 1 of 6 on youtube.

I almost got the last side effect myself. keep up the good work andy.

  • What Breggin does best in this book is expose the truth about psychoactive drugs, and especially the neuroleptics (also called antipsychotics). Developed from dyes, these drugs were known to have horrible side effects from the beginning. Their inventors proudly proclaimed them to bring about a "chemical lobotomy" which was considered an endorsement of the drugs. Breggin points out that the so-called side effects are actually the main effects, and even the only effects.

  • Andy Berhman saved my life... literally. He knows what he is talking about, i promise you.

    Check out his website.

  • Most psychiatric drugs can cause withdrawal reactions, sometimes including life-threatening emotional and physical withdrawal problems. In short, it is not only dangerous to start taking psychiatric drugs, it can also be dangerous to stop them.

  • According to research released on Friday, the number of children between the ages of 2 and 5 that have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and are prescribed powerful antipsychotic drugs has doubled over the past decade. The research, which was complied from data taken between 2000 and 2007, suggests that the practice of prescribing powerful psychiatric drugs to 2-year-olds is becoming more popular.

  • One of the things TeenScreen fails to openly disclose is that the percent of false-positives for their pencil and paper screening "tool" - called the Columbia Suicide Screen (CSS)- is 84%, which means that the chances of your child walking away falsely labeled as "suicidal" or "mentally ill" is 84%!

  • Currently, due to the massive growth in psychiatric drugging of children and youth and the current targeting of them for even more psychiatric drugging, PsychRights has made attacking this problem a priority. Children are virtually always forced to take these drugs because it is the adults in their lives who are making the decision. This is an unfolding national tragedy of immense proportions.

  • In the meantime, 152,604 people have watched this video and have been warned about the dangers of the wonder drug of BMS. It's no the kind of attention these people, who place the importance of profit over the health of their patients really want. But keep it coing, keep it coming.

  • India's vast skilled workforce gets western companies' jobs done cheaper and faster. Much has been written about the outsourced back-office services — in IT, finance, telecom — that have helped propel the country's growth to more than 8% a year (and elicited backlash in the countries that buy them). Now a lesser-known western industry has begun tapping India's outsourcing pool, prompting concerns not about jobs, but about the health and safety of the Indian population: Big Pharma. Scary, huh?

  • And on a final note, although I don't think you'll allow this to die, how do you seem to know so much more about my relationship with Bristol Myers Squibb than I do? It's impossible.

  • I hope that your posts will interest more people in learning the truth about "big pharma" and the deception and also about bipolar disorder and learning to cope with this illness. My life - - my illness - - is an open book - - and I'm proud of "Electroboy," I enjoy speaking to audiences about geting well and I'm more than happy to expose "big pharma."

  • You're a very angry guy, but curiously you want to continue to bring more attention to my issues with Bristol Myers Squibb and "Electroboy." I won't fight you. I'm proud of "Electroboy" because it's an honest account of bipolar disorder and I'm also proud that I spoke openly against Bristol Myers Squibb in Sacramento at a DBSA meeting before my contract had expired. I just want people to know about the dangers of Abilify and to also learn as much as they can about this insidious illness.

  • @andybehrman I'm not angry, I just know bullshit when I see it. Your life is saturated in it and now you are pushing it in the eyes of sick and unstable people. You are a con artist and a sociopath who is now using a guise of empathy and concern to garner as much attention and approval as you can from strangers. You are a whore (believe me I'm not using the word in anger) who is at the bottom of a well-scraped barrel.

  • @legend3061 All this you say about Mr. Behrman may be true, but it is all rather beside the point is it not? This video is about the possibility of very serious harmful effects that may arise from taking the drug aripiprazole. With your unhinged and ill advised attacks against Mr. Behrman, you try to steer the discussion away from the real issue. You are quite simply trying to change the subject. If you think Mr. Behrman's credibility is wanting, consider what your comments say about yours.

  • @legend3061 As for Mr. Behrman, all I can say is that if he can sell the people who bought him in the process of exposing what may be their very serious negligence, I wish him all the luck in the world. If BMS is faultless, why do they not refute these claims against their product in a sober and professional manner? Yet the company is silent. I read the blog entitled "No More Mr. Nice Guy". It simply attacked the messenger in an attempt to divert attention from the message, as you do here.

  • @legend3061 Not to tough to figure out who you are! But thanks for bringing ANY kind of attention to both the truth about Abilify, Bristol Myers Squibb and Electroboy - - any attention - - positive or negative - - is appreciated, Sir.

  • @andybehrman And what does it matter who I am? You are the one who has BMS money sitting in your bank account while at the same time campaigning against them. You made money off of forgeries of the artist who was already overpaying you. You scammed investments off of friends for a film you never even began to film and spent it on a loft that was well beyond your means, drugs and kitchen appliances. You have a history of biting the hand that feeds you.

  • @legend3061 No boss has ever been able to do enough for you so that you didn't have to exact some sort of revenge or scam on them. Except this time, to screw over your old boss, you have to convince mentally unbalanced people that the medicine they are using is detrimental to their health. Not only do you not have the credentials to be advising people on their medications, you have a well documented past of burning people who trust you.

  • Learn more about this scum bag and why his opinion shouldn't mean anything to you. if you google Andy berhman there is an interesting article entititled "no more mr nice guy: Andy berhman is a con artist and we are his marks". This can be found on the knowledgeisnecessity blogging site. This guy is a professional bullshitter, a narcissist, and a liar who has been manipulating people's trust for his own financial and attention hungry needs his entire life.

  • According to Andy's own account in "Electroboy," as described by the WSJ: "He spent time as a stripper, swindled friends and family out of thousands of dollars for a film project he never completed, and ran an art forgery scheme that cost him five months in prison." The subtitle of Andy's book is "A Memoir of Mania," but could well have been "A Memoir of How I Blew Cocaine Up My Nose."-JOHN MCMANAMY

  • ABILIFY = DEATH

  • I was put on Abilify 6 weeks or so ago. After just a few days I felt better than I had in years: I was cooking meals every night, going to job interviews, getting along with my MIL, feeling motivated and stable for days at a time (5 was my record). Then the constant waking up 4-17 times early in the morning kept happening, and the drooling, and I've gained 9 pounds (although weight gain on it is rare, I am also rare). What did my pdoc do? Increase the dose! (From MD web)

  • Here's a new "myth" - - Perhaps owing to its mechanism of action relating to dopamine receptors, there is some evidence to suggest that aripiprazole blocks cocaine-seeking behaviour in animal models without significantly affecting other rewarding behaviours (such as food self-administration). According to Bristol Myers Squibb, Abilify will treat everything including the common cold. It's all a lie.

  • California regulators are taking aim at giant drug maker Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., accusing it of bribing doctors and pharmacists to use its products by offering thousands of cash kickbacks, gifts and "happy hours" with the Los Angeles Lakers. The case against the drug company was developed with the help of former Lakers player Lucius Allen and his wife, Eve, who worked for Bristol-Myers and provided access to the basketball team, according to a lawsuit made public Friday.

  • Antidepressants may increase suicidal thoughts or behaviors in some children, teenagers, and young adults, especially within the first few months of treatment or when the dose is changed. Depression and other serious mental illnesses are themselves associated with an increase in the risk of suicide. Patients on antidepressants and their families or caregivers should watch for new or worsening depression symptoms, unusual changes in behavior, or thoughts of suicide.

  • The FDA has issued a special warning (a "black box warning") about the use of Abilify in elderly people with dementia (a condition involving confusion; disorientation; and a loss of memory, intellect, and judgment) or psychosis. Elderly people with dementia (Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia) who are treated with antipsychotics -- including Abilify -- are more likely to die (of various causes) than those who were not treated with those medications.

  • What's worrying is that the people watching this video are actually taking advice from a convicted fraud, male stripper, and neurotic. Were you on abilify when you were jacking off male escorts? This isn't the first time you tried to sabotage an old employer's business. I'm curious if this time you have jizz cooling in your belly, as well. History tends to repeat itself.

  • My doctor told me to exercise and eat less fat and sugar. He still wanted to continue the abilify though. He thinks i am eating too much which is not the case. He refuses to acknowledge that abilify caused my weight gain. He didn't want to hear what i had to say so I gave up on him.

  • I'm sorry you're going through all of these problems with withdrawal from Abilify, but in the long run, it's so much better being off the "wonder drug," which isn't, as you've now learned, so wonderful. Gaining 70 pounds on Abilify is not uncommon but losing it is going to take some time. Has your doctor given you any good medical advice?

  • Any one know how to get rid of drug induced weight gain? I hope my body will return to normal in time.

    Thanks,

  • Well now that I am taking proactive measure to avoid withdrawal I am not having the extreme side effects this time. That being said I have still not lost a pound and I am still execising like crazy and watching me diet closely. Also I now have high triclycerides and high blood pressure and high cholesterol but my good cholesterol is low. I did not have any of these problems before I started Abilify.

  • Hi, I gained 70lbs once I started abilify. Even with working out 5 days a week and eating 1500 calories a day I could not lose a pound. I told my doctor about this but he didn't want to hear any of it and would not help me. I stopped abilify 2 weeks ago and I am using a program I found on the internet to deal with withdrawal because every time I tried to stop before I would start to go crazy. I just assummed this must mean I really did need the abilify.

  • I accepted being on this drug for six months in 2008. It knocked me off a solid path of abstinence from alcohol via the effects of tardive akathesia. It took me a couple of years later to actually start drinking again, and I warned doctors here in France I was suffering, but it was all brushed under the rug. This is killing me, now.

  • @ChristianMusicTube What type of impuslive thoughts and destructive thinking? Self injury? Suicide? Call your doctor immediately or go to the emergency room at your local hospital. Your reactoin to Abilify is a common one - - more so than is reported.

  • @andybehrman thank you. It was suicidal thoughts. It scared me since I couldn't control them!! I did see my psychologist about it. That's sad that this drug is legal.

  • I'm on Abilify and it was awesome at first. Now I'm having impulsive thoughts and almost destructive like thinking. I can't control it. This is horrible.

  • ABILIFY KILLS = BRISTOL MYERS SQUIBB AND CORPORATE GREED

BMS puts proft before the health of patients!

  • Contact michele.meyer@bms.com and ask her about her involvement in the Abilify marketing scheme - - she has lots of answers.

  • Hair loss (alopecia) is a side effect of abilify

Yet another great side effect of the "wonder drug." - - thank you Bristol Myers Squibb and please forward this link to family, friends and doctors.

And write to Dr. Mark Frye at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and ask him about his involvement in the BMS cover up. He's reachable at mfrye@mayo.edu

  • I really love the "excerpts" from "Electroboy: A Memoir of Mania," mentioned on this thread about Abilify from @legend3061 - - they're actually very telling abou the source! Nonetheless, I urge you to watch this video, share it with you family, friends and doctors - - and sonia.choi@bms.com or harvey.kaish@bms.com - - the two people who know everything about the "games" and deceit of Bristol Myers Squibb.

    Best,

    Andy Behrman, Author

    "Electroboy: A Memoir of Mania"

  • @andybehrman what does cum taste like?

  • ABILIFY = DEATH

  • I also think it's funny that you ejaculated onto two homosexuals as they sucked each other 's cocks off. Call me old fashioned, but that seems pretty gay to me...

i also find it amusing that in your book you only mention the sexual acts that were performed on you and neglect to describe the acts you performed on others. Are we to believe that you got sucked but did no sucking of your own?

  • Facial symptoms include lip smacking, puckering, pursing or grimacing, and also tongue protrusion and rapid blinking. Involuntary spasms of the arms, legs and torso are also possible. If these symptoms appear, contact your doctor right away. A replacement drug may be needed to control the condition Abilify was used for, possibly from a different drug class. Symptoms of tardive dyskinesia can continue after stopping Abilify, although with care they may improve or disappear over time.

  • I don't trust myself, so why should I trust big pharma? Antipsychotics are still an extremely crude treatment/blunt instrument. If I ever experience an acute psychotic break again, I don't care what they say, I'm going down the natural route of rehabilitating myself; talk therapy, exercise, fresh air, meditation, relaxation, rest etc etc. I actually have the view that having had psychosis twice, I'm now in a better state of mind and stronger than I was beforehand!

  • I think its funny that a man who was convicted of fraud against a former employer is now trying to discredit the product of another former employer. I don't know anything about the efficacy of this drug, but I do see a pattern forming. I wonder about the credibility of this behrman fellow. Am I wrong?

  • @wumbabop You're in a very small club. I've received more than 2,000 letters from people who have had severe side effects from Abilify. You can contact me at my electroboy website Thanks, Andy Behrman Author, Electroboy: A Memoir of Mania

  • I havent had any problems from it.

  • If it works at all, it should work consistently. Tell your doctor that "it works better on some days than others." And then tell your doctor to explain WHY a placebo has been proven to almost just as good as Abilify.

  • it seems to help me at times but it does seem to take a while to work somedays it seems to work better then others

• Yeah well you're kind of stupid for using shit off of the tele.

  • There is an increased risk of serious, possibly fatal side effects (such as heart failure, pneumonia, stroke) when this medication is used in elderly patients with dementia. Discuss the risks and benefits of this medication, as well as other effective and possibly safer treatments for dementia-related behavior problems, with your doctor.

Translation: If you're a geriatric patient, DON'T take Abilify. It'll just speed up your death.

  • Because of "direct to consumer" advertising, which is only allowed in two countries in the world for pharmaceuticals, all of a sudden it's totally fine to make suggestions to your doctor about medication based on what you watch on television (which is created by "big pharma"). Abilify may work fast, but it makes people ill FAST and is potentially lethal.

  • I'm not saying what Andy is saying is B.S. but I tell you what. I've been Bipolar all my life and I've taken lithium, depakote and lamotrigine which can't hold a candle to ABILIFY! That drug WORKS and FAST! It's a God send. Without it I'd be DEAD - self induced. If you're bipolar have your doctor prescribe it for you in a low dosage and see what happens.

  • Everyone should should get a chemical imbalance test from the lab just to be sure you dont have an imbalance in your brain or an "abilify defincency".

  • @AkathisiA101 there is not a single chemical imblalance test for the brain it is just a sales term, like there is not a clinical test for schizophrenia other than a doctor said you have it kind of like being a slut or a whore or a cash cow

  • Thoughts of suicide from Abilify? Contact your psychiatrist immediately.

  • If you have complaints about the efficacy of this drug, the side effects and the allegations that have been made against Bristol Myers Squibb, the maker of Abilify, contact Harvey Kaish at harvey.kaish@bms.com

  • @electroboyla money grubbing lawyers

  • Abilify is the main drug for what? When it comes to bipolar disorder, there are some studies that show that this "wonder drug" may be no more effective than a placebo. Now why would you want to take a sugar pill which had 70+ side effects? Ask your doctor about another medication. Abilify isn't going to be helpful.

  • I HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS DRUG FOR A WEEK NOW....AND I AM LUCKY THAT I HAVE NOT HAVE ANY SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS! BUT I AM SCARED TO CONTIOUE TO USE IT BECAUSE OF THESE HORROR STORIES, I HAVE BEEN HEARING, BECAUSE I AM STILL FAIRLY NEW TO THE DRUG! SHOULD I CONTINUE TO USE IT?? PLEASE HELP...BECAUSE I REALLY NEED IT ????

  • @zappy158 need it for what ? I had every label in that unscientific label book of fake diseases before I knew better DSM IV. watch "pills for your ills" on youtube and see what happend to me. SIDE EFFECTS leading to more drugs ! and more labels of fake diseASES.

  • @AkathisiA101 I need it for what it is given for...lol do u recemend any other drug...because what i have heard that is the main drug

  • @zappy158 see "pills for your ills" cartoon on youtube, I went from treatment for insomnia to every label in the dsm. Finaly after getting realy sick from psychiatric poison I quit all and nothing is wrong with me. Get a "chemical imbalance test" just to be sure, from the lab.

  • Boy's Mother Cautions Public About Abilify

The mother of a 12-year-old boy who tried to kill himself by hanging - again - urges parents and guardians to pay close attention to their children if they have been diagnosed as bipolar and take the prescription drug Abilify.

Her son, Justin Hill, remained at Huntsville Hospital after attempting to hang himself last Friday in his aunt's carport. A family member found him hanging, unconscious, and performed CPR until EMTs arrived.

Watch "abilify kills" on you tube it looks like me at this place. The client is always wrong at this place ! Nueroleptic zombie sobriety no thanks.

They thought it was a joke screwing with me like that . Give me a lab test for this chemical imbalance or a brain scan and show me ! Before I destroy my health with that poison.

  • ABILIFY KILLS. Bristol Myers Squibb puts profit over the health of patients. If they found a "cure, " they'd be out of business.

  • How long have you been on Abiliify? You may not feel side effects for quite some time. Just a warning. Ask your doctor about this.

  • it works on me. I'll keep taking it or I'll kill myself. It's the only thing thta makes me feel human.

  • I was on Abilify for about 3 days when I was 14. The first day I was on it, I was extremely loopy and had to be taken home from school. To this day I still don't remember how I got home...all I remember is that I woke up laying down in the hallway after apparently fainting while walking. The next couple of days I was barely able to leave bed due to extreme dizziness. This was pretty much the last straw for me with psychiatric medications.

  • Abilify and Suicide

The most significant risk of taking Abilify is that depression and suicidality can develop or worsen in young people. According to RxList, all drugs approved as antidepressants carry a warning about possible suicidal tendencies in children and young adults. The warning includes a special caution that those diagnosed with bipolar disorder may have an especially high risk of suicide.

Isn't this enough? How many more suicides do we need to hear about by meds like ABILIFY?

  • watch " making a killing with psychiatric drugs " on youtube ! disorders diseases ?

  • ABILIFY: Some side effects include uncontrollable twitching or jerking movements, tremors, seizure, and weight gain. Some people also feel dizzy, especially when getting up from a lying or sitting position, or may experience a fast heart rate. • BMS FRIGHTENING NEWS DEPARTMENT

Drugmaker Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. on Thursday reported a 2 percent increase in its third-quarter profit, as higher sales of several key medicines were mostly offset by higher taxes and increased spending on research and marketing. Bristol-Myers, which sells blockbuster blood thinner Plavix and psychiatric drug Abilify, said net income was $969 million, or 56 cents per share. That's up from $949 million, or 55 cents per share, a year earlier.

  • Sympathy for Abilify? Do you know that there are no studies which have been done hich prove that Abilify is an effective adjunct treatment for depression? In fact, until one is produced, a placebo will be just as good as Abilify and considering the side effects of this drug, why would you take the risk?

Once Bristol-Myers Squibb loses their suit by the State of California and coughs up another $500 million fine, people will start paying attention.

Or until they read my truth.

  • Dear Andy, I've seen the Abilify Kills video on Youtube and, actually, talking with you about the drug way back when contributed to my decision to get off of it. So I'm off it and am instead taking Lamictal and Seroquel (just started the Seroquel). Thanks, Craig

  • ABILIFY: Some side effects include uncontrollable twitching or jerking movements, tremors, seizure, and weight gain. • To make matters even worse, in the case of "Psychiatrist" @violiquid, is that they demonstrate the fact that they are prescribing medications to patients, without so much as reading the BMS insert for themselves in relation to side effects. It's extremely dangerous, in and of itself, for someone to give you anything, that they themselves have not taken the time to understand... especially in the medical field! If the doctor themselves, are not familiar with the side effects, they can not be d

  • @violiquid, a self proclaimed Psychiatrist, notes that this drug is "FDA approved." The FDA however, does "not" test anything it approves, but rather depends on information provided by the manufacturer themselves, who obviously are bias toward their own product. Also, the living of a "Psychiatrist" is dependent upon prescribing medications, adjusting dosages, and changing them. They are generally "not" poisoning their own bodies with what they make a living prescribing for others.

  • I see all these anti-depression commercials and chuckle. Seems to me that they spend half the time disscusing the side effects, people should give MJ a try, I'm sure it'll work wonders without all these side effects.

  • Some side effects include uncontrollable twitching or jerking movements, tremors, seizure, and weight gain. Some people also feel dizzy, especially when getting up from a lying or sitting position, or may experience a fast heart rate. Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (combination of fever, muscle stiffness, faster breathing, sweating, reduced consciousness, and sudden change in blood pressure and heart rate) is another side effect as is suicidal thinking and suicide attempts (Source: Wikipedia)

  • You're in the lucky group of 7% who experience absolutely no side effects. But you should speak with your doctor and consider the potential side effects of being on Abilify for either an extended period of time or based on current research on side effects, of which he or she may not be aware.

  • I take abilify and feel great and have none of these problems.

  • A very serious and sometimes fatal condition known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) may occur in patients taking Abilify. It occurs most commonly in the first two weeks of taking the drug, but can develop at any time during the course of treatment.

  • Even though off-label use of Abilify is common, a new review finds that such use is only effective in a few conditions and can be extremely harmful for patients in others.

Ask your doctor before he prescribes Abilify you for both off-label use and for bipolar disorder or as an adjunct treatment for depression.

There are still too many questions about the safety of Abilify.

  • @violiquid Thanks for your questions, which I'm glad to respond to. 1) These side effects are listed on the insert published by BMS 2) Woloshin and Schwartz and also Dr. Tsoi at Harvard are the three that have produced the scientific evidence that most (more than 50%) have not had success with Abilify 3) One drug for bipolar disorder which has a better success rate is and older one - - lithium. And then Depakote.

  • Dear Mr. Behrman, while I would like to assure you that it is not my intention at all to fight or disregard you, I would like to point out 3 "disputable" facts in your statement below:

    1. When you say "there are more than 75" side effects, I would accordingly assume that you are able to state at least 75 of them. Please do so.

    2. What sustainable prove do you have to support this: "it's absolutely not effective for most of the patients"?

    3. Which drugs have been proven to be more effective?

  • I'm the guy in the video and I'm talking about quite a few side effects (there are more than 75). The fact that Abilify has been proven to be safe by the FDA, as we know, means very little, based on the statistics of side effects, coma and death from this drug. And Abilify is absolutely NOT effective for "most of the patients." There are other drugs which have proven to be more effective. Sincerely, The Guy in the Video (a.k.a. Andy Behrman)
