Yes the Hitachi drives support the 1.51. The latest fw is the 1.6, but it's not out for the Hitachi yet. And unless ODST and MW2 have a different wave, then they should play it fine.

yeah, but you still need to have the disc in the drive to play it. all that does is it just reads it off the hard drive so the disc doesn't get scratched.

I don't think that I won't get banned. All modders should know by now that if you mod your 360 it voids your warranty, and goes against M$ Policy & Terms, so they can ban you from Xbox Live. I've had 360's modded since the beginning of `06 and I've gotten banned once. Just get a new system and modify it! I don't care so much if I get banned!

Microsoft came out with a new video partition on Discs (known as wave 3), and people that backup their games, won't be able to play them on older firmwares (i.e. 1.5, 1.4). So they released a small patch, 1.51 that fixes that.
