  • I was a major Huey Lewis Fan in the 80s .Most of my friends were into more of an alternative sound U2 the Cure Etc. .Today I Like those bands of the 80's that most of my friends had liked.Even though I don't like Huey Lewis as much as bands like U2 and the Police I still like them and I cherish the time I was into them. At the time my musical tastes were just developing.Soon thereafter also in the 80s I got into the Beatles after wich my musical tastes had become more sophisticated

  • Huey Lewis is soooooooooooooo cool...

  • 3:18 I envy Chris Hayes

  • @corrupt200 Me too! LOL

  • This is some great stuff. Before MTV, there was Video Jukebox on HBO, and there was Night Tracks on TBS, and this video was shown on both regularly.

  • Love the 80's and the music...But I can't get the episode of Saturday Night Live with the Cow Bell out of my head! Listen closely and someone is beating the bell!

  • Hit #1 rock, #8 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • That is one hell of a party! I love Huey Lewis and the News. Modern music has nothing on this.

  • the guitar kinda skaish during the versus

  • My favorite song!!!

  • fav part 2:18

  • This song is so great.

  • Love the lady in the black hat at 0:59, classy.

  • that guy in black looks a kinda short with all them people

  • One of the most unerrated groups from the 80s

  • couldnt agree with you more

  • @billsgwn underrated??? What about "Power of Love" from BTTF?

  • I remember dancing to this on the record player when I was 5! Ahhh memories.

  • This came out in late 1983

  • so 80's!! Love it!!

  • One of my favorite 80's songs and videos. Its so fun.

  • god I miss the early 80's, i was only five but I was into the scene. The vagabond punk look was so sexy. I miss women wearing mascera

  • Grandes siempre !!!!

  • oh yeah!

  • Aw man! I ain't saw this video since the THIRD GRADE, MAN! I am sooo gettin' old here. It's always good to hear some decent jams unlike today's music...

  • lol when did this come out, 84-85ish? I was 2. haha, ya music today is crap, then again I wasn't a big 80s fan either except for Lewis.

  • Perhaps between '82-'83. Loved it then, and still love it now.

Esp. after comprehending the lyrics some 25+ years down the road where Huey sings about his dealing the woman of his dreams and winds up gettin' her in the end.

All the same, good jam, and even GREATER vid!

  • Such a powerful guitar riff I love it.

  • Man..I miss the 80's! Huey Lewis and the News were bad!

  • Huey Lewis rulez!

  • MTV in the early 80s,,,need anything more to say? Coolness extreme...

  • I've only seen some MTV back in the early 90's, back when they would run Beavis & Butt-Head and Cartoon Sushi. What does MTV stand for? "Music Television"? Doesn't live up to the title now, for all I know. :\

  • the guy at 0:51 looks like Shay Carl

  • Vintage Huey at 2:46!

  • i love this song...

  • He's sexy.

  • such a classic!

  • I love how corny and cheerful 80s songs are. :D

  • Hell yeah! ^o^

  • Haha 3:10

  • danny ainge on drums.

  • Huey Rocks, I just bought Sports and Fore! on record the other day. Wish I could go see him live at the county fair on fri but I have to work.. bummer

  • I'm 13 and i LOVE this song!!! I love all the oldies especially country!!

  • I used to snort ski with huey, hes a good guy

  • Really? we used to snort kool aid back in the day

  • I'm 17, and even I know this is WAY better than the stuff they have today! Huey Lewis is amazing!!!

  • Right on CuteOtter! I grew up in the 80's and tt's reassuring to hear from someone younger than me that this stuff is still alive

  • I'd love to stack this song/video against any REAL song in the last 50 years. MJ's Beat-It, Del Shannon's Runaway, Supreme's You Keep me hangin on, Vandellas, nowhere to run and maybe Cher's Do Believe. Chart-busters.

  • This IS a REAL song. I laughed at the video back then and I still do today. Sense of humor, brutha.

  • Videos were hella-original in the 80's. Now they know what sells and they're not willing to deviate. Girls shaking their asses and what not..that's what idiots want and that's what they get.

  • I fully agree with you. Girls shaking their asses, and obscene budgets for needless special effects.

I'm all for hot ladies shaking their asses, but if it's all there is to a music video, then I'm not interested. :/

  • After all these years, it just dawned on me that this song is basically about a booty call ....LOL. I guess the sing-a-long pop mellody makes you not pay attention to the lyrics. SMH and loving it!

  • the artists of today just can,t compare they can only sample long live the 80,s musicians today might as well hang it up you just can,t top the 80,s

  • hueyh rocks

  • 2:18 - 2:32 sounds like the Life With Derek theme song!

  • huey is the man

  • I thought it was funny at 0:45; it's like all of a sudden he's talking on the video. Corny, but awesome at the same time. xD

  • if you didnt grow in the early 80,s you dont know

  • You're right. I was born in 1985, so I only experienced 4 years of the 80's. ;~;

  • @jamespfeifer63 Dang straight James!

  • This song is so cheesetastic,I love it!!!! Huey was so hot in an 8th grade English Teacher sort of way. I had a mad crush on him back in the day. Timeless 80's music!!!!

  • Isn't it somwhat amazing how innocent the 80's all seemed now? "cheesetastic and all..like my granny used to tell me when i was just a lad, you never know what you had until it is gone. and man, i miss the 80's.

  • You got that right!! There will never be another decade quite like the 80's,like the 60's and 70's,it's in a time capsule, and they will never be duplicated, ever!!! It was the decade that shaped my life for good and for bad,I did the big hair,I did the spandex, leg warmers, blue eyeshadow,I immersed myself in British Pop,and yes,I was even a Madonna-wannabe lol. Yeah,I miss the 80's too,but thanks to Youtube,we can revisit those things that made that decade the best ever!!! :D

  • james rock n roll

  • cheesetastic lol

  • Great song to hear at a bar!!!

  • Is that Bill Paxton at :27

  • holy shit it looks like him

  • Who DOESN'T like Huey Lewis and the News? That's the question!!!

    Awesome....

  • Good music knows no bounds, race, color, etc. anyone who says this music has anything bad about it has no clue what good music is. AT their height huey and the news could do no wrong. And in many fans hearts they still cannot. Makes me wish there was a time machine you could use to go back to the 80's for the great music and culture.

  • Awesome band, Awesome Song!!!!

    HUEY LEWIS IS ICONIC!!!!

  • She's got it all, hot loving every night.

  • Great song great video great to see Huey Lewis back

I like how serious he's being

  • Huey's best song by far !

  • Totally agree! But all their songs are just classics. lol. You can never ever ever ever ever get tired of listening to this song. Huey for Prez. lol

  • I was 8 when this came out...it makes me smile

  • This was written by Chapman and Chinn for the band Exile back in the late 1970s. These guys did the song justice, but the original is worth listening to, too.

  • Huey Lewis & the News had tons of great songs all thru the 80's & early 90's. This one is my all time favorite. Great rhythm, Incredibly catchy beat & Very danceable. Just like most of Huey's other singles, i'll never get tired of hearing it.

  • The vampire guy looks like Joe Satriani, doesn't he?

  • That's actually Huey's bass player - Mario Cipollina.

RE: The vampire guy looks like Joe Satriani, doesn't he?

  • AHAHAHAH VAMPIRES!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Huey is the BEST hands down! I saw 2 of his Concerts! I'd love to meet him. He his a Great Rocker, an era we will never see the likes of (pre rap etc.) again !!!

  • The 80's were great for music!

  • Awesome tune!-Brings back alot of memorys 0f the 80's..

  • Yeah!! Do some coke and vote for Ronald Reagan! Breakdance with your Rubik's Cube!

  • Wearing your members only jacket, while playing pac-man.
