its not as if the lamps will a safe illumination of the road ahead,HID in the wrong reflector is illegle,if you want to spend a lot of money to see in the dark,use Far Infrared,or as most people know it as ,Thermal imaging....this way you wont blind the poor bastard in th oncoming lane,,

Fitting HID bulbs to a Cars halogen lamps is illegal in the UK and has been since 1989. Contact the Department For Transport for more information on this matter.

This is ILLEGAL. no questions about it, the car wasn't meant to have those lights, the reflective housing actually throws the beam off and all over the place virtually blinding others

Why use standard Halogen Bulbs?

Because the halogen headlight is designed for a halogen bulb, HID in halogen = glare and hotspots, if I see you come upto me with such crappy blinding lights, I'll smash the out with a crowbar

because the beam pattern is fucking terrible on your HID conversion and causes glare. get a real HID retrofit or prepare to have your headlights smashed by people sick of your glare.
