  • Hey aquarius. Signs of time's . It is like water. It just keep's on coming, and they can't stop it. See you around. It must not be nothing, in some of there head's. They live and die, and then byb byb. No faith no sight. Maybe it is some kind of a two way street. Life is a teacher. For it is clear to me.

  • From laughter comes wisdom

  • This is where religion come from. For it was of babylon. It was a christian faith. But was there a God, that they knew not. That told of all of this before it happen. For in the old book, it did. Isaiah 14v 12 kjv The morning star . For this is what the christian;s, fall for. Isaiah 44v 13 kjv is how they made it. For one to tell me thing's before they come, proof,s he is God. For one to say there is no God, judge thereself,s For this was told allso. For when there day,s come, it is dark.

  • to those who don't understand what he was saying, God exists because we believe he exists and truth is whatever we believe it is.

  • its ok

  • Glory is the lord of host, for that is the water in truth.Could man be living in a big lie.Isaiah 14v12 kjv the falling morning star, Rev 22v16 the morning star.Job 41 kjv.Who made all things. And who told us from the begining.Fear God,but love God.For none can set beside him without falling.Learn to glory the lord of host.Make no man to be your God.Save yourself in the truth. For that is wisdom. For when you deniy God from the begining, you deniy yourself. For he opens the eyes.

  • @theyrdaydreamers

You completely missed the point of the clip

  • @SiriusMined I know God, is the point. So what is your point, that i missed. I know Babylon. is the king's house. And there are fore wall's. For one must grow over the wall;s to know the truth. For we are colorful. For i see not just, black and white. But in great faith, in the glory of it all. One can say i see it not. And a nothing can say , i can see it but what is it. Maybe, i just don't have your eye's. So tell me, that i may see in them?

  • @theyrdaydreamers

That the god that people believe in is really just a projection of their own mind.

  • @SiriusMined O. One of them lol. It is just for them that has soul,s deep within thereself. So you think nothing made nothing. It was just a big bang for you. For one would think that is dumb allso. How can one find it, for it see,s, but nothing. For we are here. Like it or not lol.

  • @theyrdaydreamers

So, what did god make everything out of?

  • @SiriusMined Genesis 1 kjv It was void and without form . It was like a bad check. But there came the spirit. For if there was know law, there is no life. Just think about that. I just could come in and kill and still all you have. And not think about it. For i would have no soul. There is something in man that tell,s, him right or wrong. For it was past down. But if it get's to it, that there is no God. For we just can do anything. What a day that would be.

  • @theyrdaydreamers "Just think about that. I just could come in and kill and still all you have"

People do that all the time. HUMAN law is what stops people, not any god

Society has laws to protect itself. It's THAT simple.

  • @theyrdaydreamers

Just popped in their minds? No, it's fairly easy to understand why we have a need to have laws against random killing.

"But if a bad day come's. Let it be on you"

Wow, some Christian you are. Wishing bad things on others, eh? Thanks for proving why religion is NOT moral.

  • @theyrdaydreamers

Not Chrsitian, but throwing threats of hell? Why are you quoting the KJV if you aren't Chrstian?

  • Comment removed

  • @theyrdaydreamers "I didnot threting you in hell."

You didn't use the word "hell", but that's the extension of what you DID say.

Young? No. I'm 43. I think it's funny though, considering how juvenille your writting is

  • @theyrdaydreamers

Ah, but WHY do you think god said it?

"Maybe i am just a God fearing man"

If you follow your god, why do you fear him?

"Pray and repent, for your sake"

Repent assumes that I'm doing something that I'm not supposed to do. That's a HUGE assumption on your part.

I'll ask you again, if you aren't Christian, why do you read the KJV?

  • @SiriusMined Fear is the begining of understanding. But to love God is better. For he is the only truth. What is man to God. For a christian will twist and still, from the word's of God, to make them fell better. For i was in farster care, and rase by christian's from one place to another. For if we read a bible, we must read it all to understand. Not some. I know man can sin, but how great can he sin, and not know it. For a christian fall's before Lucifer, and not know it,

  • @theyrdaydreamers Why do you spend time here. For they are just playing with your head. For we see the truth in you. For some just live and die. And that is all they know. For many will turn away from the very truth. Some will live a lie, And some just cannot take the truth. For it is in the mind of you. The wonder's of God. For you live in his glory. Come to were i am, and we will talk man to man. For it is for who behold's it. Not for them that don't.

  • Using a lamp was a good metaphor for the search for truth, and clearly what we find is what we already have including what we project and how we interpret the result. He did not want to know.

The seeker could have been told to fetch a lamp and turn it on to look for the truth. It would still be a metaphor, but whatever the seeker would find (if anything) would obviously be the result of an active voluntary search.

G'Kar could have said "There is your truth. Now allow others find their own."

  • A great scene from a fantastic show, and yet another award-worthy performance by the amazing and much-missed Andreas Katsulas.

  • Being a secular person, and not at all a fan of religion, I love this speech, because it's really all religion, and spirituality should be, the world is a flawed and beautiful place, and it is by any definition a miracle that we exist to enjoy it.

One of my favourite pieces of writing ever, along with 'Faith and Reason are the shoes on your feet. You can get farther with both than you can with just one'

  • that man brings me to tears -.-

  • that man brings me to tears -.-

  • Haha you can tell when that stubborn narn asks his question for the second time, you can almost hear G'Kar say to himself "ah fuck it" before saying what he has to so he can go home.

  • @HisDivineShadow245 And thus are borne how many splinters of any faith.

  • @HisDivineShadow245 Yep. That, and he got suckered into teaching Religion For Dummies. Seriously, as events later on in Season 5 point out, G'kar finds out the hard way that his students don't him to teach what's in the book he wrote, they only want him to tell them what they want to hear.

When a god doesn't say what his followers want to hear, they then crucify him and animate his image with their desires.

Pretty much the same story for any religion.

  • oh god, those two characters who died in real life in one scene.. where one explains the meaning of god and truth... and the only one who seems to understand, is the one who had to die too...

  • @Cult1022 Agreed. First thing I thought when I saw this clip. Just heartbreaking.

  • I have always loved this quote

  • The way G'Kar speaks about religion and spiritual things makes them..... appealing.

Im not religious but when i see G'Kar talking i almost feel i wanna be!

  • Whatever one defines God to be,...that one is!

  • Freakin, brilliant writing and devastating delivery. One of my other favourite scenes is Delenn and Sheridan with an explanation as to why individuals are placed in given situations. The writing on this show was absolutely impeccable. I am amazed sometimes this series got made. It was funny. It was human. It was freakin deep and it was a piece of Mastery that succeeded amongst the dross that is usually television.

  • Oh, yes, I remember that dialogue, is from A Distant Star, second season: "The universe puts us in places where we can learn. They may not be easy places, but always they are right. Wherever we are, whatever we do. It is the right place, and the right time." Babylon 5, simply brilliant!

  • @ElegantPaws01 Thank you for the reminder! I added that scene too.

There are so many jewels of philosophy and wisdom in this show it should be awarded several awards!

  • @avoozl Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  • "From laughter comes wisdom"; I think Aristophanes would agree....

  • Good stuff
