I bought Infamous out of sheer hype. People told me how awesome it was, I watched it, but it never appealed to me. When I finally got it, I was still confused as of the story and Cole, It seemed so lonely and desolate. As I went on, I realized Cole is probably one of the most personal characters in video games. It's rare that you truly feel so close to a character that you'd feel they were actually...you. The decisions he makes may seem black and white, but his outlook and dialogue on them don't

@Barit555 Actually, from what I've read and heard, game developers have barely scratched the surface of about how powerful the ps3 really is. Every five or so years, Sony comes out with another console, because they supposedly have a more powerful creation and have retired the old console. This hasn't happened with the ps3, probably because there is still much more potential in the graphics. I think the ps3 will still be popular at least for another couple of years, and the graphics can improve.

@Barit555 Actually, the first inFamous used only 30-35% of the Cell Porcessor's graphics engine. The second is to use up to 60%. From first glance, it might not be very noticable, but after a good look and as it sinks in, you tend to notice much, much more. Not just with inFamous, but many of the games due for this year. Many used to not reach above 50% of the Cell, and now they have exceeded over it finally. It just takes lots of time. InFamous 2 has better lighting and more pixelated textures.

True, but what the Cell/PS3 has done is increase the number of simultaneous moving objects on the screen at the same time. This was first realized in Killzone 2 during some of the later battle scenes where characters were moving on the screen, sparks from gun fire, clouds moving overhead, smoke all around, and tiny little particles falling from the sky (flint/volcanic like dust).

@Aloverssoulz Soon after I wrote that comment I saw the animated scenes, Cole is indeed more like the original, the actor even has a Dark knight tone to his undeniably youthful voice, but all together that single skin change is the best thing that has happened to infamous 2. Lets hope the only changes they make from now on are as great as that, It couldn't hurt to make him look a lil more like the original Cole but still, a great game is at last shinning through the skin change :)
