  • i checked out the site, i'm broke and can't pay $7 a month, anybody recomend anything?

  • If iracing doesn't have Nurburgring its not a sim.

  • iRacing, is so fucking expensive, and is that god.

i will stay on rfactor and GTR2.

  • At this point, I think I'd rather buy a sway bar than a decent PC Steering Wheel. I'd rather save the aforementioned $600 a year and buy a downpipe. So on and so forth until I make it to an SCCA event... where I can drive a real car.

  • so... enough about the service. What about the GAME!?

  • try less effects and more clean shots in your video, there's nothing more fucking annoying then a million cut screens and fades happening at once. I'm not retarded please don't advertise to me like I am.

  • it ain"t even racing its SR Sandbaggin not much racing in iracing

  • Lol these comments are hilarious.

Stick to your video games, kids. iRacing doesn't need you.

  • lol these guys are soo sad

  • lol@ the "its not free so its crap crowd". I bet you cant imagine actually having to pay for a service...

  • Here's what I have to say about iRacing. It's physics are amazing and has the best feel and response with the G27 wheel! Honestly it's the best racing simulator to date. But for one month of play I had to pay $12 and I only get 5 cars? Really? If I want more I have to pay $15 for each. I usually play GT5. Though it's not the best racing sim, its driving physics are still great and the game is enjoyable!

  • who the heck is commentating?

  • alot of people still play it and iracing should look back at there old creation and see how far it has come.

  • i wish they would update nr2003.

  • these people are retarded to think that people will pay $100 a year for membership + the cost of of adding more to the game.

  • Questions: ;: Are those race commentaries really in-game or are those commentaries just soundbites of a real race? 2: Whys aren't there a 3D hands on the wheel??? Have you ever played Call Of Duty and see the weapon fire and hang in the air by themselves??? Watching the "cockpit view cams" surely feels like it's KITT driving and not a 3D person!

  • NFS SHIFT 2, FORZA 4 , AND GT5 WILL BE THE ONLY GOOD RACING GAMES EVER!

  • @spya105 ARE YOU STUPID? i have forza 3, play it a lot, its my favorite game, but even still, iRacing is on a whole other level. That comment really makes me question if you've gone in depth with research about this game.

  • @ekemini12435 yes. I have. that's why I have the balls and authority to comment about this game. 2nd I don't care at all if you play forza 3. I don't play forza but everyone seems to like it. So if everyone else likes it. I like it. No hating for forza gt5 or shift 2 :)

  • @spya105 ...you're an idiot.

  • 4:03 i recognize that voice! He must be the guy that narrated the nr2003 driving toutorials!!

  • Can't be that realistic if Jr is leading a race.

  • '''You also say "the majority of racers" would rather run you over? What a ridiculous exaggeration!

    DJK83'''

I will be glad to respond to this, anyone that has raced in iracing knows that the majority of iracers run hotlaps in every car. With no fuel. Because there more concerned with being 1st on leader boards then finding out how full fuel load feels in a draft. If you disagree your clueless on this one. I had one guy run over my indy car and crunch it from behind then keep driving away lol.

  • Is that guy at 3:06 the guy that also did the voices for the in-game tutorials for NR2003? It sounds JUST like him!

  • The update is free not the service. Read moron

  • I can see the upside to the fast track system as well. Personally I have benefited from it. There has been a rash of short tracks, and most of it is likely the black eye my iRating has taken by tailing the back of the field just to get Saefty Rating. iRacing has some kinks that need worked out, and imo it's a little more spendy then maybe it should be, but in the end it is probably the best sim racing experience you will find anywhere, hands down.

  • Comment removed

  • does the description really say free to all members? lol it aint free dont let them fool you

  • @unacal76 Uh, yes, the updates ARE free to all members. It's probably not smart to spread blatant lies about iRacing, as that might actually constitute libel.

  • wow, such negative feedback for iRacing. Junky53, you ever try it or did you have a bad on track experience?

  • fantastic simulator, but it needs improvement in visual damage to cars. wheels, parts of body needs fly away in crashes, especially in open wheelers

  • Showing a bunch of nascar drivers does not impress me. Nascar is gay.

  • i racing is like racing on ice,,so realistic,lmao.

  • @marki61422 try the NTM then say that.

  • I find it odd other company's put up with iracing fanboys on there forums, yet if you post constructive criticism on iracing boards your removed from there forums.

    Or your posts vanish.

Similar to how Project Wildfires forums where run which was another farse, some things never change.

  • @myVRaceLog care to give a example of a post that you would put on the iRacing forums that would be removed?

  • @webduelist ill reply for him. already many posts missing or deleted on this thread. junkymcsnot sent me a messege on this thread which was not offensive at all but critical and its now gone. Know what your talking about b4 you post. looks like your looking through candy apple glasses.

  • There is nothing like iRacing. It is worth every bit of the money they charge for it.

  • @FM11Argyle That would cost more than this or any game to develop. Have you heard of DARPA? The .gov has spent probably billions to just get a robot/AI car to navigate from point A to B and they still have no product ready to go. Not gonna happen, friend.

  • Defenders of cost: 1. I am a iracing player. 2. The costs need to be warned about. It is very expensive. Subscription AND buying cars and track? That's pretty rich. If the devs say that they need to charge that to make money back, then OK, fine. Some people pay that (I have!) The problem I have is some of my favourite cars really lack for drivers. The community is much smaller than it could be. Upside: polite, dedicated community, because you have to love sim racing to pay that much!

  • Real nice. Now they are going to have aids so you fan boys can drive without wrecking everyone on the track. They must be hurting when they resort to aids.

  • when the iCeption comes out?

  • Do not let this video draw you in to subscribe. It is 'Hype' at it's best, and 'ain't what you think it is! Trust me as I own 100% content for a tune of $1,000.00 and I still think iRacing suxs. Hold on to your money for rFactor2.

  • @fishme66 Tell me this fishme66... If you say you own 100% of the content and you say iRacing sucks. How slow are you at learning that you don't like something? Or do you pull the trigger on a large purchase before you think. Either on points to you being an idiot. So instead of advertising that you are inept when it comes to pointing out facts, I suggest you move on to your beloved rfactor2 GAME. iRacing is a SIM. Best wishes.

PS. I too own 100% of the content. I do recommend this SIM to all.

  • @fishme66 If you hate it so much and it sux so bad, why would you spend so much money on it? I've been racing for a couple of months and let me say... It is awesome. If anyone is looking for good realistic racing without the idiots that like to ruin the experience like on a free server. i.e. PS3, XBox360, then this is for you. Pure fun.

  • @fishme66 how much was total price of iracing? it is not listed on there web site. 600? 700 dollars us?

plus a monthly fee. gee wiz ... rfactor 2 coming soon you will pay 60 bucks and race any car in the world any they all have a different feel. Just sayin people should no there place for us poor little guys.

  • @mindadventurer Its called the free markets...you have no right to be a customer of any company. If you can't afford it you can do one of two things, 1) go make more money 2) stop bitching and find an alternative.

  • @mindadventurer I I remember right full content will cost you about $1,000.00 plus your membership fee. If you pick a certain series, I choose NASCAR type pasth with the big stock cars, then you can probably get away with $400.00. Majority of what kills you is tracks. iRacing likes to put the uninteresting tracks in the weekly series to bait you into buying the tracks. None the less, mods for rFactor are free, the greedy crooks at iRacing aren't.

  • @JunkyMcSnot With photo realistic tracks and tire models that are built over a period of almost 2 years, they ought to charge that much. Instead of comparing a non-comparable game with iracing, compare iRacing with real life. I'd rather spend $600 than hundreds of thousands in real life.

  • @TheStockCarStig iRacing is beginning to turn in to your run of the mill racing game, full off dis respectful ass clowns. Its hard to work your way up, and the game still has serious flaws......not worth the money at all.

  • @JunkyMcSnot How are they "greedy crooks"? First of all, they aren't FORCING you to join. If you don't care about realism, go play something else. But good luck finding a racing sim that laser scans every track in order to achieve accuracy down to the MILLIMETER, and has major updates every 3 months.

iRacing is not your typical racing game, nor does it claim to be. Having that much content modeled that accurately costs money. But you certainly get what you pay for.

  • @DJK83 Sure the tracks are laser scanned, and the physics are about the best you will get from a sim, but iRacing got greedy a little while back, and decided to make it to easy for idiots to advance through the license system. Now there's non drivin fucktards in the higher classes that are supposed to be elite. They will realize how stupid the fast track system is when the idiots start over running the DWC.

  • @JunkyMcSnot Sorry Junky, I dont think those idiots you talk about can make top10 overall in the series that feed the PRO series... plus, fast track is doing its job quite well since some people still cant go out of the Rookie series

  • @fishme66 LOL yeah right.....rFactor 2 we've been hearing about that for years now where is it?. I too own all the iRacing stuff....nowhere near $1,000 you claim. I've also been a Modder for rFactor, Nascar2003, F1C and iRacing is by far the best....hey if want to race a car built by some kid in Serbia that's never driven a car...then by all means get rFactor and get what you pay for....better yet, race on your Xbox 360 there's some quality physics right there.

  • Wow everyone's being a bit critical eh? If you don't like it don't buy it.

  • GTREvolution/Race07 is better.... dont pay and have more variables.

  • this game needs euro/japanese production cars & tracks. I hate us tracks & cars...

  • It's still no Grand Prix Legends!

  • Don't be fooled by the hype. These are computer nerds that still can't get it right. Three years of development and they just got a tire model. Now they just need a damage model, pit repairs, and physics that aren't the same for every car. This will cost you about $600.00 for the first year with all the content like tracks ($15) and cars ($15). I almost forgot about the ghosting in the pits so the majority of racers, that would rather run over you than drive their car, can get a clean pitstop.

  • @Junky53 these guys look like they never see the sun, pasty unhealthy sunken eye sockets. Is online racing bad for your health? go out breathe some air play with your kids and eat something other then McDonald's.

  • @mindadventurer Um....Ah....

  • @mindadventurer Pitiful, all you can do is bash ....

  • @RobertMcTigue that was supposed to go to Junky53 not you mindadventurer ... sry

  • @Junky53 Hey, hows your moms basement? Get back to your game of Zelda.

  • @Junky53 You are ignorant.

  • @Junky53 It is expensive I will agree their, but until you know how to make and edit games on a PC then I would suggest you shut your pie hole. The tire model is spectacular, you can feel the sidewalls in the tires. There are a lot of things that I would definitely do a lot different, but did you see the look on Stewarts face??? Name me one game that comes even close to the realism of iRacing.

Don't let this guy doop ya, changes are needed, but he is just sour cause he isn't fast.

  • @Junky53 I love how you list everything that they do have and say they dont.

  • @Junky53 The bigger concern would be getting fooled by YOU. What do you mean, "they just now got a tire model"? What did we race on before? They've simply developed a NEW one that's far more advanced.

As for physics being the same for every car, what? No two cars on iRacing are even CLOSE to handling alike. If you honestly believe otherwise, that speaks volumes, and discredits you entirely.

You also say "the majority of racers" would rather run you over? What a ridiculous exaggeration!

  • @Junky53 Can you scream "I am an anti-iRacing fagboy and I have never played it" and louder?

  • @guitarman2134568 I was a beta tester and owned all the content and had an A license before fast track.

  • @Junky53 wtf are you talking about? Are you sure you have not been playing big rigs instead of iracing?

  • @Junky53 $600?!!! You mean $60 right?!

  • get Rfacror instead.

  • @Junky53 Hell, rFactor 2 and GT-R 3 will be out before this......

  • @Junky53 no one said you had to spend that much. im getting a basic package, the cup car, and the two plate tracks. compared to the NTG2011 shit on the 360, $30 for a much more realistic plate racing sim is fine for me. ihave other things to do in life, im not going to play this seriously.

  • is this game only in car play thnxs

  • @danxchamp yes

  • They do have the v8 super car.

  • @morrowmotorsports yes they do

  • Yes they have the V8 Supercar, but you have to get up your licence before you can race it competitively

  • Just got the e-mail notification on this! Wow they have come a long way by the looks of it since they first started out! Wow! I never signed up for iRacing, This is NO arcadey game by any means people! A wheel and pedals is a must! If you like realism this is probably as close as you are going to get! Now if they had NASCAR Modified Legends from the 70's & 80's I might have to give them a try myself or Australian V8 Supercars! Well If i could practice on my own.

  • $99 a year. Now if you take advantage of the $30 credit for early yearly renewal along with your possible 40 bucks a year just for participating in races, you can easily have it for $29 a year after an initial investment that is very reasonable. As far as hobbies are concerned this would is one of the cheapest you will ever find and it keeps improving leaps and bounds at least 3 times a year.

  • Why would any intelligent person think it would be free?

Head to your local mission or soup kitchen and have a free meal. Then try a 4 star restaurant. Does anyone really think they won't notice a difference? Iracing is a more accurate sim, therefore more expensive. Not everyone will find that "better". Buy and race whatever you like the best.

  • Why do cost comments always pop up? How many people out there work for free? Why expect it from iracing employees or anyone else for that matter? Iracing has updates and improvements every 3 months or so. Compared to Gran Turismo 1-5? That's a shelf price of about $300 or so if you have been loyal since the beginning? Yes iracing is more expensive, but the tracks and cars are physically scanned copies of the real things. Not just graphic renderings made up by someone in a cubicle somewhere. Why

  • I have been on iracing for 3yrs now and love it. Best racing sim out there. Iracing needs to add dirt. Late Model, sprints, trucks, buggies or cars. Don't care what comes first just need dirt and the rest will follow

  • I supported iRacing for 2 years and they kept on promising either Off Road or Dirt

Oval. They shit on a very large community of racers by ignoring dirt racing. Its the very grass roots of many types of racing, oval in particular. But it is after all a business and selling out to big dogs like NASCAR is where the loot is at. Money talks right iRacing? I wont subscribe until theres an honest effort made by Iracing to make good on their word.

  • It is not too much expensive. iRacing gives you much more than you pay for it. And of course it is not a game, it's a motorsports simulation.

  • Too expensive.

  • Comparing iRacing to GT5 is pointless - apples with oranges. Used both a lot - but mainly used GT5 for the Nurburgring in prep for the 24 Hour race this year. Lovely eye candy and feels "ok" but the online racing is full of idiots unless you go private.

iRacing OTOH feels far more like a real car than anything this side of GPL, and the online racing is brilliant. Reason? read the comments here and you'll see that idiots stay away!

  • I wonder if they'll ever add Nürburgring to iracing. We need more euro tracks! and some rally.... too much wishful thinking?

  • @hjfrancisco They've been working on Nurburgring for a while now, it's Alot of track and the guys put a lot of work into every detail they can, so i'm not surprised it's taking so long.

  • Will new cars and tracks be free in this new update ???

  • i need BATHURST CIRCUIT! thanx!

  • @flim72 They should also do Karting, what do you think ?

  • Shouldn't I pay for watch this video too?

  • @Kw12345ff Yes, that'll be $60.

  • Yes, there ARE other games out there good enough for most people. The problem with most racing games is that there are always some morons who's only intention is to cause carnage. Thankfully iRacing delete the accounts of people who do that. So, I don't mind paying if it means i get to RACE with people who also enjoy good, clean, fair racing. Oh, and it just happens to be the best racing 'game' there is.

  • Cheap GPL copy. cheap sounds. FAIL tire model. and TOTALLY ANNOYING CRASHING SERVERS ... this has spoilt my love to racing and i will go back to gpl cause its just BUGGY and a money machine. and in all: i HATE the hype about the fail simulation of the world.

  • @MrTiti You do realize that this was programmed by the people who made GPL.... right? It's just the evolution. Is it perfect... no, nothing but reality could be. Never had a server crash myself. Tire model IS the GPL model, plus 20 years of development. Carry on... troll away.

  • Seeing these comments reaffirms why I pay for iRacing. Keep the idiots that don't appreciate paying for quality off of the grid I have to race with. Keep going iRacing - you're the best.

  • @Cryptic808 one thing that I disliked about his is that you can only use a pc controler or a steering wheel and not the keyboard :( took me 2 weeks to find out.

  • I need to drive it using my street car.

I need to drive it on my local tracks.

This is a sim for learning tracks. That's what sims are for.

I can't wait for some stupid progression in a game to get there.

I can't waste time on an expensive sim unless those two criteria are satisfied.

In real life I'm not going to be driving some silly Solstice at some silly far away track.

  • You PC gamers need to converted to PS3 gamers cuz Gran Turismo 5 is the shit!

  • @TurkishHegemony lol. i signed in just to tell you fuck you. P.S. fuck google too for linking youtube and gmail accounts. cant fuckin check my other email without being signed out of youtube everytime. drop dead whoever is behind this!

  • fuck iracing. let them choke on their money. there are other games out there that are good enough for most people

  • @TurkishHegemony Not even close...I have an Xbox 360 (Forza) and a PS3 (GT5) and a PC with every racing sim made since '95 and the Consoles (Xbox & PS) are no where near the PC for physics....stop and think for a second that in real life why don't we drive real cars with Xbox or PS controllers?...there not enough fine control of throttle, brake, steering ....when I plug my PC steering wheel into the PS3 GT5 and race on tracks that I have on the PC (iRacing or rFactor) the PC is way better

  • @Timinator62

Sorry but I play Gran Turismo 5 with my Logitech G25 steering wheel

  • Would be nice if this wasn't so effing expensive (in the long run). Just a game.

  • WELL YOU KNOW WHAT THE CAT SAID WHEN HE GOT HIS TAIL CUT OFF,,,,,,,, IT WONT BE LONG NOW

  • Comment removed

  • To all those saying it costs too much and 'I can't afford it' etc....what would be a realistic price you could afford? I mean it's less than 50c /day for subscription which includes enough cars and tracks to run around in and have fun and then you can add tracks and cars gradually. I don't mean to sound insensitive but it is the equivalent to buying a cup of coffee every 3 days

  • 1:39 that's a really shitty hair plug job

  • @myjizzureye lol, THAT is what you got from this video? Right on, though. hehehe.

  • Late model south Boston

  • The new tire model is soo realistic, I puked all over my logitech!

  • It's not just a game...it's a life-style choice.

  • the tire-physics in LFS is way ahead in front of iRacing by now, and there comes another update soon. also, iRacing imho is to focused on all that american-oval-racing stuff. i'm also a iRacing member, i know they also have roadtracks and cars, but all i can see on this vid is boring ovalracing, that says a lot. but their skill-rating-system and statistics are great, thats the point i'm on iRacing too. the LFS boys should earn some more money, hire some more programers and hurry up developing

  • @mowax74 There is tons of road racing going on in iRacing. I feel that the focus is pretty much 50-50 on ovals and road at the moment. In the very beginning of iRacing there was way more focus on ovals, but that's not the case anymore. As for the tire model, I always like the LFS model the best, because it didn't use typical racing tires. That ment you could go wide in turns without just spinning out, like you do with racing tires like what you have in iRacing. No drifting.. hehe.

  • iRacing is cool. And it's not a game! Let's Go Racing!

  • @TurkishHegemony Have you even played iRacing?

  • @TurkishHegemony You obviously haven't tried a real driving simulator.

  • @TurkishHegemony hahahahahaa you got to be kidding me XD hahahahah your too funny

  • @TurkishHegemony Real driving simulator?

So lets be clear : A sim is a computerized algorithm interpreting real life datas put together (iRacing), and Arcade game on the other hand is tweaked so it can please people, and be easier (Gran Turismo), tracks are purposely made easier, cars don't have any kind of damages, cars aren't up to the real specs (nascar for example), and grip levels are fake so people don't crash too often, in short GRAN TURISMO IS THE KING ... OF THE ARCADE GAMES - love you

  • @TurkishHegemony

Quite frankly, the IMMENSE popularity of that gaming series is almost a testament to how far removed it is from an actual simulator.

  • @TurkishHegemony I think this comment is here simply to provoke a reaction. I can't see anyone truly believing this

  • 8 people are PS3 players

  • legends cars r cool

  • Who says IRacing is not "Real Life Racing" !! :P

  • I just got the game thanks to the 3 month 12$ offer but I think I won't be able to buy a full membership because of the price. It would great if they reduced the monthly membership and it would be awesome if they would lower the price of cars and tracks to more acceptable prices, I mean an Indycar for 12$ is fair but 12$ for a Star Mazda?! Same thing for the tracks, also it would be great if there were packs in which you could buy packs of cars or tracks for a cheaper price.

  • @viper2131 they have said in the past that it costs them about couple hundreds of thousand dollars to create track so i cant understand how can 15$ be to expensive. they have lowered costs almost 50% from where they have started so it was way more expensive than it is now.

  • @viper2131 Absolutely. This has been my biggest sticking point since signing up with iRacing. I would like them to offer everything in one lump sum and not nickel & dime me to death for every little thing that comes along. Also, they need an off-line option so people can test and build set-ups without using bandwidth when others in the home are needing it more.

  • @centreturk : before I got my new gaming PC I managed to run iracing on a laptop plugged into my tv, I had to turn down the graphics settings but managed to achieve 60fps. I'm betting you have a laptop/PC in your house that will run it so you'd just need a cheap wheel and a 3 month subscription for £10 to give it a try. I uploaded a vid of my first win using the laptop, check it out :)

  • @MrMarlby Well that's not my situation lol but... Sadly I'm the only one in my family that loves NASCAR and so my parents wouldn't really allow me to get a wheel or buy me a wheel since I never get paid but am looking for a job I guess lol.

  • I actually forsook new tires for a divisional autocross event to build a new PC for iRacing. Its a sickness you don't want to recover from.

its also run by professionals that are unlike any other in the industry. They absolutely deserve all the success they have achieved.

  • if only i could afford it :'(

  • Comment removed

  • @CenterTurk If it was free or on a console, it would be a disaster. You'd have people who would have never seen NASCAR in there life attempting to race what feels as close to real life as possible. There would be people that play just to wreck people. People who try to go full throttle at every turn. People who race with keyboards... It would be a disaster.

  • @CenterTurk

Then it wouldn't really be a professional simulator.

Please stick to Mario Kart and Twisted Metal, little boy.

  • @LongSchlong9000 1.) I'm 14

    2.) I don't play those games

3.) I was only saying cause I'm not able to get a wheel :(

  • I was disappointed to hear Dale Jr say it was for 15 year olds and nascar fans. Why is it not on xbox?

  • I'm interested to see what the new tire model feels like :D. Will we ever get visual tire deformation to match the physics simulation? it would make for some great slow motion replays.

  • Yankee Racer 2.0

  • When is Oulton Park going to be released please??

  • For everyone who's moaning about the price of iracing putting them off why don't you try their introductory offer of buy 1 month get 2 months free! That's 10 bucks and if you decide it's not for you after 3 months fair enough, just walk away.... bet you don't though!

  • @MrMarlby agreed! I put it off cause of the price and took the intro offer and I haven't looked back! nr2003 and rfactor have been removed from my hard drive. You do need to give it a good hard try It's nothing like the old sims but when you figure it out it is awesome!

  • Not a game sorry

  • Can i OWN this game and not pay for it every month

  • @kimi450

    no its not free

  • @BarryRift Can i pay for one time lik2 10-20 dollars and buy it rather than paying each month

  • @kimi450

i think u can get 3months of race time for the price of 1, just check iracing.com, and its a small fee i dont think its even more then 20 dollars

  • @kimi450 No. The game is entirely online. You must have an internet connection to access the game.

  • @RX120D Means no single player !

  • How'd Jr. know I just finished my English homework? Seriously, I can't wait for Wednesday, I love the Nationwide COT as is, and the NTM will hopefully get me really excited for racing again.

  • I love how amazed Tony Stewart is :)

  • Comment removed

  • How about you fix the bugs in iRacing 1.0? And redesign the god-awful, dysfunctional, hellishly slow memebers website too?

  • Will Iracing 2.0 be better than Rfactor 2 and will Iracing 2.0 be doing any of the New Zealand dirt oval mods (ie Superstocks Saloons Midgets )

  • @iRacing David : buddy you win the funniest quote award on these comments "most games are about racing, iracings also about driving" ... If ever there was a game that had a single minded focus on just racing this is it! I just picture you littering around at 40mph admiring the foliage at Lime rock lol.

  • @will122391 : you REALLY need to play the game on a decent pc before leaving ignorant comments like that. I bought a gaming pc 2 months ago specifically to race on iracing having come from ps3 and 360 and can safely say it blows any racer on consoles out of the water graphically, that's before you start talking about realistic physics, 30 car grids and a community that's actually interested in racing fairly without the constant crashers that frequent console lobbies. Do yourself a favour and tr

  • You guys REALLY need to up the graphics. They look like PS2 right now and it would be awesome to have cool sun effects and reflections.

  • @will122391 PS2? You are out of your mind.

  • If you are a racing fan and want a whole new appreciation for what your favorite or not so favorite drivers do on the track every weekend, then sign up for iRacing!

  • i pay for this in in New Zealand dollars and LOVE it
