bobby, i know your good at this tutorial stuff, but telling people to only tune half their guitar down a step and a half.. you gotta know that's no good for their guitars right? most new players wont compensate for the change with thinker strings. plus Iommi tuned completely down to C# after the first couple albums.

On the second riff you tabbed out a slide from 13th fret to 15th fret but you say to play the power chord on the 15th fret twice. Just letting you know...again...sorry lol.

Bobby, does your, B and E strings, the B in particular, tend to go out of tune,easy? I have the same guitar, color and all. The Gibson studio. I started using heavier guage strings(much better) but, still a few nasty bends puts them out of tune. Thanks for the lesson.

What are you playing through to get that particular heavy tone?

a great amp to is a line 6 spider 3. I use the red metal setting. Alternatively, if you don't have a line 6 amp,good settings to use would be plenty of bass, low mids (probably about 3) and probably about 4 for the treble.

On my guitar, I have a gibson les paul with an emg 81 in the bridge, and an 85 in the neck.

Use the rhythm pickup when playing black sabbath as well as it tends to give you a deeper heavier tone. You can also turn your tone controls down as well if you want to go 'all out'.

also try palm muting the open top string and alterate your picking too if you can.

For simiplicity bobby has only downtuned the top 3 strings as that is all that is needed for this song, but tony iommi usually has the whole guitar downtuned to C# F# B E G# C#

Why not a tube amp? Sounds a lot better with Gibson.

I'm not so into line 6,sounds a bit clinic to me.

But still,if you like your amp : Rock on ;)

i use a line 6 because it works for me :) and I feel I can get decent sounds out of it.

It was only £199 and its a lot of amp for the money :)

N.B. ...I used to have a marshall 120W tube amp but I struggled to get a decent sound out of it, it took me ages of fiddling so I gave up in the end and traded it in. :(
