Silver! We've never come across silver hardware. It's worth asking if in a Chanel store, perhaps this was limited edition.

@RenyceNoel - Hi the replica bag was on loan so sorry we don't know where this came from. We have only ever come across a gold strip. Please check in a Chanel store it may be different now for current models.

Hi I just bought a Chanel ( vintage ) its very nice I must say . Just that I am unsure about the ( lock , clasp ) this is from the 80 's and it has a long pin to close it . Is this normal . Also the authentication code begins with a ' 0 ' Thank you for your help . You video is v good .

@meah21 - Hi, it really depends on the previous owner. We only purchase Chanel that have been well looked after. The best advice is to look after your bag, put it inside a dust bag when not in use. Put tissue paper inside the bag to maintain its shape. Kind regards.

Thanks for your comment. I have come across bags with satin linings. These are special edition styles which Chanel sometimes produce on a limited run. Chanel does produce variations of the 2.55 classic bag, up to 6 collections a year, in different fabrics, tweeds, satins, and other woven fabrics.
