I like them both, but Tony hawk has to be my fav.

1. The storyline for every (almost) Tony hawk game is pretty different. The storylines for Skate are pretty much all the same.

2. The soundtracks for Skate are in my opinion, not as good as Tony Hawk's soundtracks. Tony Hawk had really good skate music, underground bands, and had something for everybody. But Skate tried to appeal to todays "skater' steryotype with its music not really for everybody.

3. Both have great park creators.On Tony Hawk, you could create more of a suburban enviroment and some pretty different stuff like that, Skate, you can make more of a "skatepark". I'd say they are tied here

4.The character creation for tony hawk was great. You could make your character unique to you and plus had more choises. Skate's character creation is sorta limited. if you watch a bunch of their videos, alot of the people look alike.

I can't see how one can still compare the two franchises. THPS is dead, Activision dug its grave with that assinine skateboard peripheral, and Skate's franchise is taking off. Maybe Shawn White's game will be fun and unrealistic but right now realistic skate games are having their season in the sun. I loved THPS and I'll always have fond memories.
