This footage is recorded in 120 and played back at 30. It is infact slower, not just clearer. The proplem is 120 is still really low fps. To get a matrix style effect going on they would need to film the balloon at 1000+ fps.

120fps doesnt determine the speed of the clip, rather it is how many still frames are taken per second, 120 frames per second, it plays back 120 frames in one second, making the video clip seem clearer, also when it is slowed down, it does make the slower clip seem more fluid, for instance if the 120 fps clip was slowed down by half its speed, it would play back each frame twice, effectively making the clip 60 fps,

the more fps, the slower you can playback and still have a fluid image. If u playback a 30fps and a 120fps at normal speed u won't notice much difference. Slowmo however: 120fps is fluid, 30fps is not

Yes it is slower but not by much. It's filmed at 120fps but played back at 30fps so it looks much more fluid.
