That was a re-entry and roll. I dont think you could slide up the rear deck of a kayak in the conditions that put you in the water in the first place.
If your a solo regular then it's important to be self-sufficient and be able to re-enter and roll but in rough seas it's not always easy. Do practise cos it could save your life one day.
@nigelseakayak I have other sort of concern and that's why I am here. Im n amateur novice kayker and I went kayaking today at Porto da Barra, Salvador, Brazil. I didt it for about an hour with my legs streched on the kayak all the time. As a result, I guess the position caused some pressure keeping the blood from circulating well in that region and I did not realize that. When I got off the kayak I almost fell to the ground cause my legs were completely dormant. How can I avoid that?

Like how he got back in the boat at 2:51. Gotta try that. Looked he took on more water than if he had slithered up back behind his cockpit but the rescuer could have held the empty boat a little tighter and kept it from rolling so much when the guy levered himself in.

"Surf" is a bit of a misnomer, most of the waves are ankle to knee high.

Both boats look like P&H Capellas. His paddle looks like a Werner Shuna. Gel coat is cheap.

Nice Video lads. Excellent technique, though a paddle leash wouldn't go astray.
