I enjoyed your video and find we have a similar outlook on religion. I find it nauseating that apologists try to say its true that god exists. The way you put it is pretty close to the way I respond; which is there has never been any proof in the existence of god, if there was they wouldn't call it faith, it would just be the way.
@Sephern1 I just don't feel he has follow thru with a lot of his thinking becuz he is biased considering he has a predetermined belief in an unproven god. I've left many comments refuting things he says at videos of him here at YT. I guess you'd have to be more specific before I could answer u more specifically.
@julzabro Really? So, what exactly do you think about the five arguments for the existence of God? Do you find those illogical and if so why? I understand that what he is saying is coming from a point of view that there is a God, but that doesn't necessarily mean that his arguments are illogical because of it, right?
I would prefer any further discussion to take place on one of my Atheist discussion video's if you will where my visitors may benefit from what is being said. Thankyou for contacting me with your concerns.
@MegaSage007 I really think a video response to your video and your comments here would be the best way to do this but my video cam is broken right now so I will attempt to respond to your comments here briefly then go to ur afore mentioned video....only cuz I don't want to miss anything u said that I wanted to comment on, k?
Oooooh. I stumbled on this video by accident, and I am so glad I did. I love this video. i was sitting there transfixed thinking who is this woman? She thinks the same way I do! wow. Instant sub. I'll be watching you my atheist friend. :)
My family was not Christian, but I believe in the God of the Bible after searching the religions of the world for God. I am not religious but my faith is solid after decades of life's struggles.
@MegaSage007 So what is it about the Xtian God that u find so much more believable or truer than other gods? And how can you say you're not religious if the god u worship is FROM a religion?
@julzabro asked So what is it about the Xtian God that u find so much more believable or truer than other gods?" You are asking a question no-one can answer, since no-one can serve all of the gods inhabiting the earth, but if you want to know what its like to have "the peace that passes all understanding" reigning in your heart ~ serving God Almighty through His Son Christ, you would need to serve Him to find out for yourself what its like to "taste of the Lord and know He is good."
@MegaSage007 Asking you why you believe/worship the Xtian god over other gods is NOT asking you to serve any other gods! It's asking you what your reasons are for serving the god u DO serve! How does it serve other gods to explain why u reject them?? Everyone serves your god according to His Book...even us atheists...but to worship something that I do not believe is as impossible for me as it would be for you to start worshipping Allah or Buddah or Zeus etc etc!
@julzabro asked, "And how can you say you're not religious if the god u worship is FROM a religion?" God does provide Judaism as the religion of the Bible administered by Jewish priests when the holy temple of God is operational, which it is not since AD72; but will be in the near future again. Meanwhile Christianity & Catholocism are manmade vehicles for believers to make their journey ~ & I abstain from attending such religion choosing to live the Word as a servant of all.
@MegaSage007 You mentioned "His Son Christ" who is FROM Xtianity...that's a religion. And how did u learn about ur god...Judaism...THAT'S a religion. You can say that u abstain from "attending" but you ARE following religious idealogies/precepts! The only way one can worship a god and say they're NOT religious is if their god has NEVER been described by any religion! And 9 times outta 10 this would be a made-up god just like the rest!
@julzabro Your communication skills make it difficult for me to understand what you really want to know with so many inferences, but I will begin by saying (1) Our Religion pertains to the gatherings of the Christian/Catholic/Bible based flocks around pastors and priests many of whom are like the Pharisees of Jesus day when he rebuked them soundly for their lack of committment to God and to holiness; and these modern day religious leaders can be very controlling, but they do not represent God.
@MegaSage007 I'm sorry my communication skills aren't perfect and what I was asking was simply why u chose Xtianity over other religions and how can u say your NOT religious or Xtian if your god is the God of the Bible? U say "Our religion"...what religion r u referring to and how do u say ur NOT religious in other places? If these church leaders do not represent God....who does? Aren't priests and those who speak for God in the Bible? How do you know who represents God and who doesn't?
@julzabro (2) The God of the Bible reveals Himself to his people through their obedience to His Divine Counsel in sacred Scriptures, so it is impossible for unbelievers to comprehend their meanings. (3) Therefore as a servant of God working outside of the religious system and all of its entanglements, I went up and down America with a backpack and Bible and taught people about God, and how to serve Him; and grow spiritually in obedience to His Word.
@MegaSage007 God revealed Himself to Adam n Eve before they were either obedient OR disobedient and then He revealed Himself MANY times to others who were disobedient...so how can u say it's impossible for unbelievers to comprehend Him...take Paul for instance...a Xtian killer turned Apostle! If u taught people about god OTHER THAN the one in the Bible....was this a God u made up? And y do u suppose God gave u such insight and didn't to others....or even religious leaders?
@julzabro (4) I knew there was a God Almighty 38 years ago when I prayed to the heavens saying to Him, I know you exist but I do not know who you are, and I have searched the religions of this world for you and have not found you, but I want to know you; I need you. I perceive the need for enlightenment to function efficiently in this world and know you can provide it seeing there is so much wisdom deposited in all of the existing world mankind cannot account for by any other means but you.
@MegaSage007 Not being able to account for all things in our world does NOT indicate nor prove any god. Atheists do not believe in Unbelief, we simple do not believe any claims that a deity exists. Atheism means disbelief in god NOT belief in disbelief! When I was a Xtian I thought I knew Him 2 and I, like u, could not find Him but my desire and longing to know Him was more about wanting the truth not wanting a god and maybe that's how we differ.
@julzabro (5) I had previously sought God through mantras sitting up in the early morning hours reciting mine, and had been greatly influenced by visitations from the spirit realm (one of which particularly seized my mind with the notion the whole world had evolved from nothing; and I walked about thinking I was in the Light I was seeking for my consciousness, but it was illogical and soon proved to be a fraud when while reading the Bible my home filled with the Divine Presence of God.
@MegaSage007 Why was evolving from nothing (which is NOT what atheists believe btw) illogical to you while a supernatural deity with no beginning and no end is logical???? By your logic, that everything MUST have a beginning and/or a creator....your god should seem ILLogical. Why does our not having an answer seem to prove a God exists? How is that logical? And that still doesn't clear up WHICH god!
@julzabro (6) I had been teaching creative writing in college and recognized the extreme skill it took to write the sacred Scriptures, perceiving that no man could have done such a thing and it was in that reading; that my home filled up with the Divine Presence when I spoke out loud saying with the Bible before me; I have finally found God. Since then I have read the Bible fifty times through and have authored Life is hid dot com, a free theological training library oon the Internet.
@MegaSage007 I agree that the Scriptures were an amazing literary feat and I still ponder the hidden and underlying currents within it but, again, this does NOT prove a God. We are amazing creatures....we have gone into space, cloned animals and have technology that can do things never even conceived by our ancestors. To assume that an amazing mysterious doctrine MUST = a god is no less an assumption.
@julzabro (7) As to the mention of other gods, once I had found God to be the author of the Book; I discovered He would teach me from His Book if I totally obeyed everything He revealed to me from the sacred writings; and by this means I became his servant going about where He sends me doing what His Will is, and sowing His Word according to the parable Jesus spoke. And I discovered the mysteries of the faith how great they are, and the Word became Spirit literally. St John 1:1
@MegaSage007 Again if the Word is becoming Spirit for you, it's not for many, if not most, other people...so what do u make of that? Do u feel you've been choosen specifically by God?
@julzabro (8) So when I refer you to a text Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 32:17 I know the Word of God becomes Spirit, I know the Word of God is infallable truth and I know the identity of the gods you referred to by the Word and by experience in the realm of the spirit. Moses wrote, "They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not." (fallen angels who came to earth with Satan, who form religions to receive worship.)
@MegaSage007 Referring me 2 biblical text proves nothing but u r tip toeing on a theory I've also had that hinges on the concept that IF the God of the Bible exists then HE would want people 2 REJECT the Bible or, at least, most of it but this is just hypothetical theorising 4 me. The problem with it is y would a god allow such a tragic misrepresentation of Himself and allow people 2 b fooled? He either doesn't care if we truly know Him or OR He's evil. Believing in such a god is making one up.
@julzabro Postscript: I(A) In my explanation I have attempted to point out the difference between religion and spiritual mindedness. So I am from a Book religious leaders use for religion, but the same Book I use for a divine spiritual relationship with its Author. (B) As to Judaism, it was the true religion of Israel when Moses established its rituals and practices for spiritual regeneration. (C) Non Israeli believers of all nations are grafting into the tree Israel is, and Judaism.
@MegaSage007 Wow! I appreciate the well thought out comment and have much 2 say in response. Since u asked 4 further discussion 2 take place on 1 of your videos, I will. I did just watch ur video about Athiest's Giant Fairytales(sorry if I didn't get the title exactly correct) and I have much 2 say about that as well. I aprreciate and respect the fact that u, at least, r attempting 2 answer questions about ur faith. I'm also impressed that u c the similarities btwn. rel. leaders and Pharisees.
@julzabro Postscript: (D) Christianity and Catholocism and any other Bible based religion are man made. Judaism was given by God directly to Moses in the desert. (E) When the Lord returns to take back the earth at Armageddon and set up His thousand year reign upon the earth, Judaism will be re-instated by Moses and Aaron, as well as the Prophets and Apostles. These are the hierarchy of the true royal priesthood and all the believers worldwide will go to Jerusalem to worship the Lord of glory.
@MegaSage007 For someone who doesn't claim to be religious, you sure have a lot of theories that hinge on people, places and a God FROM a couple religions. Surely, we r taught not to lean on our own understanding but how does 1 know when they've crossed the line and are now making up their own doctrine. U can't pick n choose what u believe and what u don't from the Bible...well, u can but then you're creating your own religion...r u not?
Statistically, the vast majority of people who have religious values do in fact retain the faith of their community and family.
Christianity in China has surged a few times in the past, in the context of social and political problems. The Christian roots of the extremely bloody Taiping Rebellion and its founder, Hong Xiuquan, are worthy of study.
Sadly many theists carry little but their prejudices to the table, and their reliance on anecdotal evidence is tainted with cognitive biases. :(

@Sephern1 give me any.

@Sephern1
#1) Not knowing where everything came
from does NOT = a god.
#2) The so-called perfect fine tuning of the universe is flawed
considering there are plenty of things to point to that are
not perfect AND that the multiverse theory is very plausible.
julzabro 3 months ago
@Sephern1 #3) If God does not exist morals do not exist? That’s completely
illogical considering morals are built-in survival instinct. It
has been scientifically proven that animals and babies exhibit
signs of altruism and desire for goodness/peace. Furthermore,
our morals have surpassed religions.
#4) There’s no evidence proving that Jesus resurrected. And people
willing to die for their beliefs doesn’t prove anything
except fanaticism.
julzabro 3 months ago
@Sephern1 #5) Belief and worship in something such as a god as 100% true
based on so-called personal experience is illogical and dangerous.
I know those were vague but I can elaborate if need be.
