  • Shut the fuck up about the arrow to the knee thing. Its already getting fucking annoying.

  • My betta can't do that so cool

  • excess feeding= bloating=big tummy =D = Death D=

  • good

  • Awww good fishy!!!

  • I used to have a beta but then I took an arrow to the knee

  • @thelizardguy100 i used to have a betta but then it took a fin from it's mom

  • That's awesome

  • I wish my fish could do that but all he does is get angry at everything

  • Aww !! -3

  • I tried that but my betta dident go thrugh the hoop

  • More like over feeding the betta.

  • awesome, check out my betta & more on my channel!

  • @Sample8942 ok thanks ive got a 26 litre tank with some plants and going to get a bit of limp wood cos im putting a couple of beavers in

  • Mine cant do that:( I'm gonna post a video of her. She changer color. She goes from opaque to light blue and back again

  • hey whats your food? i have pellets but i think my betta can't swallow it whole.

  • Would you reccomebd getting a samese fighting fish. R they easy to look after etc im 12

  • @Countax00 animals needs to stay healthy. yeah in your age you should raise a betta. just put him in a clean 1 gallon tank or more, with conditioned water and maybe with some live plants. feed him/her once or twice a day with the proper diet. research more. keep your bettas happy :)

  • My Betta looks almost just like that Check out my vid. (CrownTail Betta) it might look dark because he's afraid of the light for some reason.

  • @OscarChiclids12 then you should put some light around it. my betta will go to the surface and check if theres some food i drop when i turn on the lights or my flashlight. :) thats how i trained him.

  • AWESOME SET UP I HAVE A 5 GAL BOW FRONT

  • I think my betta hates me :'( ... he's afraid ... almost like he's having an acute stress reaction. I must do something about it. He doesn't even eat anymore properly. He used to. I honestly don't understand what changed.

  • @indefat is hes aquarium or container big? 1-2 gallon per betta. make sure the water is clean. if he doesnt eat your food, maybe your food is different from hes eating. or try fasting him for 1 day to 1 1/2 day. he will surely eat if you feed him :) if pellets, soak it first for 10 minutes.

  • hahaha! Betta fish don't learn how to do

    this hahaha! they Naturaly do.

I have 3 bettas and every time I put

a Ornament with holes in it they

go Through the holes with out my Intervention

so just place a hoop into the tank

Leave it there for a couple of hours and

check your betta now is doing the same!

just make sure the Hoop has a Bright color :)

  • Can you tell me how to teach my bettas this?

  • how degrading for the fish.

  • I feed bettas to my flowerhiorn

  • Aww, that is so adorable !

Can i try to train this on my goldfish too ?

  • way kuul

  • lol!

  • 1 of my 3 betta fish has very similar fins and colouration :)

  • gilgamesh is the coolest name ever for a fish.

  • Hello. Look I have a question ... Have you trained the betta since I was a baby? Ho adult or just as you did? If I can I know.

  • CAn you tell me the exact size of that hoop :D I really want to teach my Betta but I'm having a hard time of buying one hoop here in the Philippines!

  • @33353529Lyrene It was about 4 cm in diameter. But that's not important, you can start with a much larger hoop if you like. I just thought of this: I used to sculpt with melted wax. Melt a candle in a clean metal can, let it cool just a bit so the wax is still soft and flexible but not hot enough to burn you. You can then mold it into different shapes. I think this would work well and everywhere in the world has wax. Then again, you could make a hoop from a thin, flexible twig.

  • @Ichijojichan

    Thanks for the tip! :DDD

  • @33353529Lyrene I use pipe cleaners :P

  • @33353529Lyrene You are in the Philippines? Cool. I'm a Filipino and raising my family Betta! Need to buy a pipe cleaner for the hoop too....

  • awwwww cuttiieess!!!!

  • u can over feed ur bettas when doing tht

  • dude thats pretty cool fair play to you ^^

  • i have a blue Siamese fighting fish then i brang a female for hem to mate but he aet her

  • @1crackit yea...that a stupid thing to do....theres a HUGE process u go through. read up on it

  • @1crackit you can only breed them if the male has made a bubble nest, a bubble nest is a clsuster of bubbles on the top of the tank and it means he is ready to breed, you only put the female in when there is a bubble tank the eggs will be laid in the bubble nest, take her out as soon as they are finished breeding and when the fry hatch remove the male betta as well, because he will eat them.

  • @1crackit Really? really bro? OMG.. 0.o

  • so how did you start training him to do this?!

  • @DJLeopard316 I read Karen Pryor's amazing book "Lads before the Wind", and I figured, if her training methods work on dolphins, why not try them on fish? It's a bit much to explain in a youtube comment, but if you'd like to learn more, I highly recommend her books.

  • @Ichijojichan I voted up this comment mate!

  • @DJLeopard316 put hoop in tank fish swim throgh droop 1 food pellt in tank

  • Something more rewarding for your crown tail betta is frozenblood worms

  • i always know that bettas are smart, but this is even better. great job.

  • Aw! He learned so fast. :) I taught mine to come when called, but he couldn't really understand me if other people were talking in the same room.

  • my old betta could be this ones twin! they look exactly alike. i miss him he was a right character! most interesting fish ive ever seen. once my guppies have stopped breeding im goin to use my fry tank to house a fighting fish :) because.... theyre awsome! :P x

  • im thinking that instead of training it to follow my finger, im just going to take some tweezers (cleaned of course) and putting a dried bloodworm in them. then just have it follow them through the hoop. does that sound like a good idea?

  • I love pie

  • LIKE

  • PIE

  • hey add some sound man plus stop the traning with fish use a dog man

  • Nice I'm training my Siamese Betta fish to eat earthworms with jump because I want him to keep him close to his real environment it's going good the first time he didn't want to jump saw I became to pout the earthworm on the top of the water then move it very little and then more and it knows how to eat jumping it's very nice and Siamese are the only fish I got bother to train even if I don't know shit about training I find my ways to train it

  • It looks as if there is alot of food floating at top of surface (maybe bubbles?) I wondered if that would have an effect on training since fish would not be focused on getting the reward from u? I hope that makes sense?..I enjoyed your videos. Used to volunteer with dolphins/ sealions at Knott's Berry Farm. I learned alot and assisted in several training sessions. Attended 2 IMATA conferences where Karen Pryon spoke at one. Lads before the wind is a great book as is

    Don't shoot the dog.

  • It's ok guys because he is burning the calories! Jk good job I wanna fo that

  • You're overfeeding the betta. It should only eat 4 pellets a day.

  • @Emenon1 um betta arent stupid like goldfish they know when thr not hungry and it should only eat like 6

  • @rnp2419244 Bettas aren't stupid, but they can overeat if you let them. 6 pellets is pushing the limit.

  • @Emenon1 NOT EVEN IT IS ONLY SUPPOSE TO HAVE 3

  • my betta is smart it doesnt attack mirrors it knows when its real or not

  • hey i lyked d video u posted and nw wana get a betta........bt cn i keep it wid other fishes???????i gt kois.......or do i hav to keep it in seperate tank??????

  • @akshaynagarkar666

id say you should seperate them

  • How long does it take to train? Im currently teaching this trick to my betta.

He does it when he seems me finger in front of the hoop and then gets a reward.

  • My old betta used to come to the front of the tank when I walked in the room. And it would come up and nudge my finger if I put my finger in the water and let me pet him. He also liked to follow my finger. And he swam around a lot when I played the piano. But I never realized that it meant anything, I just thought he was goofy. I didn't realize until just recently that bettas can learn who their owners are and respond to them.

  • @ShayRenee Mine does this too. He gets ESTATIC when I walk into the room.. He literally goes crazy and swims up and down beside the tank. I also trained him "accidently" where to wait for his food.

  • @ShayRenee That's pretty awesome. :)

My betta flares up at me every time I come near him (Don't know if that's a good or bad thing though) and he'll let me pet him for a little bit also. He goes ballistic like a happy, begging dog whenever I pick up his can of food.

Fish are smarter than people think. :P

  • @ShayRenee i have a similar story only not with bettas with my mollies and my mollies babies!

  • how can i get my fish to start doing this because i have the same kind of fish and every time i stick her hoop in just sits there

  • what dose training do?>

  • Is it a condom there?

  • were did u get the hoop from

  • @Henrybailey1 Its made from pipe cleaner. You can bend it into a hoop.

  • @MrGamecrazy101 and tie it on to some string

  • did you give him a treat afterwards?

  • my fish can do the same thing and i dont have to tap the glass or feed him. it took a long time thi

  • i will eat the fuck out that fish.

  • haha hes so cute

  • Cool))

  • awesome. you got a smart fish there. and a good training system.

  • doesn't the pipe cleaner's hair come off in the tank?

  • @FantasyUni75 No, I've had no problems with the pipe cleaner, but I only put it in the tank when I'm training. Another great hoop idea is to use the handle end of your fish net, bent into a hoop. I also found bubble wands work well. Be sure to rinse them well.

  • @Ichijojichan Good idea, see I would of liked to get the R2 fish thing but it was 30 or 25 dollars, when I can just use something better and easier

  • @Ichijojichan Good idea, see I would of liked to get the R2 fish thing but it was 30 or 25 dollars, when I can just use something better and easier to use then having to take out everything when I want to switch games

  • ¡¡¡WOW!!!

  • i will learn my betta to do that! =D what is a good material to use for the ring? any ideas?

  • wow i'm impressed!

  • is it safe to feed it that many in one sitting

  • Dude that is so awesome!!! I am totally gonna try that!! I just have 1 question so when you tap the glass is thatthe signal for him to go through the hoop?

  • I trained mine to get boners on command but then he poked his eyes out......

  • Is it just me or are betta fish really smart? cuz i trained mine to turn his face into a fan when i put my finger close :P

  • Bettas ftw eh? I just spent 67 bucks on mine, new tank, some new stuff... gonna try breeding em and giving away the little ones. :) oh btw.. yes, I will try this trick. Already got Bluegrass jumpin for his food.

  • Nice I'd train mine but the other fish would get in the way I have a male fighter now my female died there's tension in the tank but the male will beat up my shark

  • hey, i taught my Betta 2 swim.

  • That's absolutely awesome. My betta girls have gotten to where they swarm one corner of the tank whenever I get near it, hoping for food, lol. I hadn't thought about actually training them.

  • omg, that is so cute. LOL!

  • That is awesome! I am gonna train my giant betta now :P His name is Dougee and his training is inspired by you :D Ha!

  • I taught my betta to follow my finger

He let's me pet him :P

  • EPIC

  • awww soo cuute <3

  • oh cool :D i like to teach my betta like this :D any advice for me? :D lol

  • Skilled.(:

Will you PM (private message) me on how you trained him at the beginning? And how you train your bettas?

  • Wonderful! I am trying to teach my PK female to jump through a hoop.

  • U can't train a fish lol well not that fish its just lucky haha u got it on film I think

  • @firegogilbert you can see the fish know he need to do that to get food watch how he pass the arrow then he wait to get reward

  • It made me laugh the instant I saw your hand come into the screen. Cx Nice work with your betta. It also kind of reminds me a touch screen on a DS.

  • It made me laugh the instant I saw your hand come into the screen. Cx Nice work with your betta.

  • how did u do this?!?!? :D

  • good and smart learner but is he a good fighter he is smarter then my betta but is he a stronger fighter then my betta I have a five star betta and he is not dume but he is not learning tricks like your but he can fight good.

  • good and smart learner but is he a good fighter he is smarter then my betta but is he a stronger fighter then my betta I have a five star betta and he is not dume but he is not learning tricks like your but he can fight good.

  • lol nice

  • Ha Ha ha that is really cute! I can tell you love bettas as much as I do!

  • thats cool, whenever my betta eats he spits out the food just 2 chase it then he eats it, oh and the pipe cleaner wont harm the water?

  • cool

  • u should put that training song

  • Is that hoop made from a pipe cleaner??

  • @elizahuman Yes. I only put it in there while training.

  • @Ichijojichan xD i thought it was the ring from a condemn! lol

  • @Ichijojichan how hard was it to train this fish? I've heard that fish have an attention span of only 3 seconds, so I thought that this would be kind of tricky...

I was thinking of doing the same thing, so I was just wondering. :)

  • @Pop12646Okami It can be hard to keep their attention, but fish can actually be quite smart, bettas in particular. However, some will just learn faster than others.

  • @blackbriar246 ahh, I see.

thanks for the helpful info :)

  • about how long did it take to teach him that

  • We have a dark blue betta. My son named it 'Black Ninja'. Go figure.

  • thats a smart betta u got there

  • But I thought a Betta's memory only lasts 3-5 months? Wouldn't the training be in vain after a while? :S

  • @Carahfae Actually, if I'm remembering correctly, the idea that a fish's memory is short (anywhere from months to minutes) isn't true - their memories span several years.

  • @KittyPryde00 I always thought it was their attention span that was short. But then again, the only fish I had were when I was a kid. MY memory doesn't span that far =]

  • wow, it even acknowledges your finger and follows it as a guide....

  • aww I miss my betas, my female died a year back, had her for 5 years, my male for 4

  • How did you do that? Wouldnt it kill him to overfeed him? or do you only do it every 3-4 days when you feed him? anyways great video I want to try this!

  • omg I never thought to train my betta! I cannot wait to get home to try this with Feisty-Bob. How did you mark the behavior? Flash light?

  • This is sooo coool nice job.

  • he is cute!!! <33

  • Can you teach me how to do that?

  • Talented :)

  • Do you have a video on how to train bettas? If not, you should make one. I'm training my betta, December. (would've trained Raven, but a kid decided to kill him)

  • Thats so cool. I have a betta too. my first died of a parasite though. (she was a nice pretty female) my second one now is also female, very prety, but i thinks she too is looking sick. planning on talking her to pet store for a checkup and water testing. hope for the best.

  • ur smarter than mr meyagi

  • wow! your betta is so intelligent :)

  • si pues con alimento, hasta mi perro va a traerme una cerveza a la tienda jajajaja

  • how are people telling if its bloated? It looks pretty small to me. I just got a betta this week, I feed it 3 pellets twice a day like the bottle says... is that too much like people here are saying?

  • @valerieodonnell the belly of the betta is quite round where the two tendrils or whatever you wanna call them are. if you search up pictures of bloated bettas you'll see what everyone is talking about. i wouldn't call that overfeeding, but definitely don't do anymore than that. I only have to feed my bettas once a day and they're totally fine. be sure to let them fast once a week though. it helps prevent them getting bloated. best of luck with your betta!!! :)

  • This is great :) He does look a little bloated though!

  • one problem here: WAY TOO MUCH FOOD.

  • One of my bettas looks just like yours! what are you using for a treat? All three of mine wont eat blood worms...I wanna try this lol.

  • aww, cute!

  • beautifull fissh

  • And don't overfeed it!!

  • Smart fish :"(

  • Better than Sea World.

  • That is so cool hows Gilgamesh doing now?

  • you cant train a betta.. i know this from personal experience. i tried to train my betta to speak and fetch tha morning paper....all it did was swim around in the tank.lol

n e ways.lol nice betta. so cool how u trained him.

  • awesome.
