  • They must be using subliminal messages to get people to buy thier crap since Chris left..

  • We stick together on that, bring Chris back. It's time for him to give flying planes a break. Close to 10 years ago I had tickets to see them when Chris had rejoined the band. When I heard he stopped touring with the band I just didn't go to the show, and I had paid really good money for those tickets. They're a good band without Chris but they are incredible with him.

  • oh nice hand guestures at 2:20... i thought at first this was what you were against... you may fool the rest but i am of the few who see you for who you are...

  • Damn, instead of the killing words this is the killing cigars...Good thing he stopped smoking. Pheew...

  • You were 20 years ahead of us, Geoff.

Mindcrime is NOW. There's a revolution calling us, louder now by tenfold.

This was the most important metal record of it's time, and yet it is far more relevant today.

Speak the word - the word is all of us.

  • Geoff Tate in my opinion, is and always be the greatest singer of all time. The range and tone and the flawless transitions from lower register to full voice to falsetto is unmatched. The guy is King.

  • his voice is ok for a forty-year man who sings almost every day... but the band... bring DeGarmo back!

  • I miss Chris too.

  • Geoff is a bit older than 40! ;-)

  • he's having too much fun flying for a private jet company, sadly enough

  • @LoxaVocals Rumor was that he didn't want to tour. Thats why he left. Supposedly he's a pilot now back home in Seattle.

  • Goeff has always been dramatic, but he used to have the voice to back up the show. Today, he uses the drama to distract people from the fact that his voice is not the same.

  • The last few Queensryche tours have featured them as rock opera at its finest. Dramatic by nature, they still rock harder than most newer bands. And at almost 50, Geoff's voice may not be the same, but its still damn good. During their encore, Take Hold of the Flame, he hit every high note to a key. I was amazed!!!

  • LAUGH. We ALL get older and none of us are the same. His gift is still great.

  • somebody close to Mr. Tate needs to tell him about Ron Paul - after watching the new dvd of operation mindcrime last night, all I could think of was how he'd understand the main stream media hostility and disinformation towards Ron Paul.

  • emm i think tate is smart enought to know evolution is a fact...

    ron paul sucks

  • Nice post, thanks. Where was this recorded?

  • The Warfield, SF, CA. Oct. 2006.

  • I LOVE GEOFF !!!!!!!!!

  • these are my boys and this just shows HOW badly they need a good backup vocalist to accompany Geoff... and yeah, he tries too damned hard sometimes to really be too dramatic.

  • I saw Queensryche in St. Louis in 91 and they were much better than this.

  • Awesome! Thanks

  • Don't need th words, and this is a tad too dramatic.
