  • Thank you!

One quick question though! Can I use a mixture of carrier oils? Such as a little but if jojoba and a little bit of apricot kernel up to 2/3 cups? Or do I have to only use one?

  • @BlueLove144 This is a basic recipe so go all out and mix your own oils together. I wanted to make it simple since viewers can feel that they can make it without spending too much. Good luck!

  • @TheSchwakinator You can get pigments for makeup that have a matte finish but make sure it's for lips=) Mica is usually used in eye shadows

  • Soo going to try this. Could you add a natural flavor like honey or melted chocolate? I initially thought fresh strawberries! Realize making the lip balm edible would mean they have to be refrigerated (LOL) : )

  • @LavendarsBlu you could use honey since it has bacteria killing properties and chocolate but it will go bad in 2-3 months so make tiny batches=)

  • officially my new favorite youtube channel.....

  • @702Jax Thanks for the love! Too sweet of you!

  • Is there anyone notice that at 1:33, the coloring product cleary written that "This Mica is NOT safe in lip product, but can be used in eye product..."

This is a great tutorial, so I think you should skip the coloring part since it's not safe, or, find another product that is safe to use

  • @moshicute2201 I mentioned in my notes and video that certain mica is either safe on lips or eyes. I showed them all so people can be educated and not just buy anything before reading what they buy.

  • @BeautySplurge

Ah... I'm sorry. I missed it. It's a great tutorial anyway. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and reply my comment ^0^v

  • What about using Candillila Wax? On the Bramble Berry website they are selling 1lb for $7.00! Their description said that Candillila wax helps provide gloss and lubricity ("slip") to lip balms and soaps. Will the candillila wax mix (melt) well with the Mango butter and Almond sweet oil?????? Thanks in advance and A HUGE thanks for posting an awesome vid!!!!

  • @IloveCouplesResorts You can use that too or soy wax =) They will work just as fine

  • @BeautySplurge sorry for the late response back to you! Thanks for the info!!!

  • Awesome! How do you come up with this?

  • @x3delicioussssh Knowing the basic things from pharmacy school in making medicine helps expand myself into the beauty world.

  • Please accept paypal AND ship internationally!!!

  • Lisa you are sooo amazing and creative!!! You should definitely start doing some business like this and sell it!! : )))) You have all of us and the whole beauty community on youtube to support you! : ))

  • Hey :D I have wanted to find a recipe like this for SUCH A LONG TIME so thankyou so,so,so much for doing this! I really want to make these lip butters, but unfortunately i have really sensitive skin & im allergic to so many things including mica. Are there ANY other things I could add to give it a pinky colour? I would really like to make it a pink lip butter! Please, please reply! x

  • @MissAnnaJanuary96 You can try D&C "organic and inorganic color" which I'm using for my lip butter line. Mica is less inexpensive and hence I choose that for this tutorial.

  • Wow this is amazing! Where can we get the samples? J would love to try! Are you making a moisturizer? I would love to buy an all natural moisturizer from you!

  • omg I looove it!

  • @212glow thanks you sweetie!

  • I want one! sell these!

  • ok this may be totally off topic, but i need help thinking of a cute username. -.-

  • @koolkatcutey think of things you like and combine them=)

  • hey i think this is great that you are showing us how to make one of your lip butters but then whats the point in selling it then? since everyone will know how to make it ? :/

please dont think of me as rude im just asking a question<3

  • @crazybrb1998 I'm not selling these because it's my basic recipe that is affordable for tinted balms/butters. The ones I will be selling are a lot more ingredients with special extract blend and intensepigmentation that can't bepurchase unless in wholesale. Thanks for asking sweetie!

  • Lisa, you come along way since you and I started exploring You Tube! I am so happy for you and your new venture!

  • Lisa, you're such a patient soul. I think that (most) folks would understand if you didn't take the time to answer every single question, especially if it's already answered in your INFO box. Save that time for all the work you have ahead of you... and making beautiful videos, of course. ;-)

  • @msvalhall01 I try to be helpful with my long info box essay and I understandwhen ppl either get excited to even look and don't know it exist. I am thankful for beauties like you that understand and supportive! Lots of hugs to you!

  • @tiffhomac Yay!!!! a chemist that understands about melting point. Wax in general have a higher melting point... hence it's used to make candles and adding butter should be last since it naturally melts at body temperature to not destroy the goodies of the butters to apply less often and feels amazing. Over heating would ruin the quality. Thanks Doll!

  • I was wondering. Do you have a lip scrub or lip care tutorial? Thanks for responding.

  • @chrissy3010 not yet and there's plenty of SkinME for that =)

  • Love it.

  • @cicex2 Thank you =)

  • anneorshine posted up a similar video today too but I love urs way much better :)

  • @tiggerfanatic20 Ann is my bestie and actually had a double date with her a few weekends ago so yea, she tweeted me when she uploaded her later which is funny! I laughed so hard how similar we are.

  • @megagossip101 ur right I didn't notice that until I went back to the video. I wonder y she would use that then

  • This is really pretty and looks so cool... But megagossip01 is right.. It says the mica isn't safe for lip products

  • @RocketToTheMoonXx Yes, I know that and it's the reason why I showed all the mica and posted notes in the video and in the info box so people can shop for mica but also read which one is safe for the lips or the eyes. Mica is the main ingredient and makeup and like makeup eye bases or shadows, you should use it on your lips.

  • @tiggerfanatic20 I showed all mica to show that some are for the lips or eyes that are used in cosmetics just like makeup pigments where you can always use on the lips =) I did added annotations and in my info box about shopping for mica.

  • but wait if you pause an look at the pink mica bag its says its not sfe to use on lip products but for eyes only.... :/

  • @megagossip101 Iwanted to show all types of mica for the lips or eyes and added annotations with info box to remember to read if it's safe for eye or lips.

  • @megagossip101 All mica are different and it's always label to see what it's safe for to use for cosmetics like makeup base paint... you can use certain base paint on the lips but can be used on the eye. I just wanted to show all of the mica to be clear.

  • you are so creative Lisa!:) Have you ever thought about making an online store??

  • Lisa you are so creative and love watching your videos! Beso

  • Wow your so creative! this is awesome I'm forsure gonna try this out ... where did you get the little pink lip balm container's from? and how much were they? Thanks!

  • @Nashax0x I posted the website to where to but fromnaturewithlove(dot)com in my info box =) I think it was 25 for $10

  • @BeautySplurge i went on the website, but i couldn't find them. could u please give me the link to the page? thanks <3

  • @lunatuna111 you can to click on packaging and then click on mini lip balm container. I will post the link in a second in the info since I can't do it here =)

  • YAY!

  • Wat do u recommend for dry skin?? Especially for the face?

  • @banana72588 First, dry skin needs to be exfoliated before apply a moisturizer. Please email what have you used to recommend something.

  • Where do you buy and get all these products? And how much did it cost you?

  • @J0yfulGr4titud3 I mentioned in the video that it's can cost about $1.50-3 depending on adding color and packaging. It cost me a total of $65 to make about 43 1oz size lip balm container aka the regular size container that you see often. Also, links and where to shop is posted in the info box as always to be helpful. Thanks

  • You are amazing at these diy's more please!!!!!!

  • wow you have the best diy videos. you are so gorgeous and creative!

  • girl i love ur DIY videos! This is a great way to save money as well and im all about saving money so keep them videos coming! ;)

  • Can I make it more pigminted?

  • @babyurgleamin this is meant to be tinted but yes, I lip better can be extremely pigmented by adding tablespoons of mica and certain FD&C colors that I'm using for my product line. Links to shop for color additives are in the info box

  • Incredible DIY thank you! I love the music too. ^^

  • @chrrycoketyuy thanks Jun! The mangoes tune suits the vide

  • where can you buy beeswax?

  • @linamariax3ify Places that sell candle making products or you can use soy wax from whole foods. I list a few site and place in the info box

  • looking forward to trying your products

  • @MissDSB Thanks babe!

  • This is great. I rather just buy it than make it lol . I love the little pink containers :)

  • @SheROkxzx3 It's a good learn experience to at least know the ingredients to shop for the right product=) Shop for lip balms/butter that contain avocado butter/oil

  • its really hard to hear you over the background music :/

  • @fffireitup You are the first that mentioned that =) To me it sounds good but I can edit in the future to tame down the tunes.

  • You should do a giveaway of your personally handmade gifts :)

  • @H03skii I just posted a giveaway for one of my gift ideas on Monday =) I will be doing giveaways once my product line is finished.

  • this is amazing, but if possible, could you try to make the ingredients a bit easier to get, like at the drug store or something like that?

  • @marapprech There are other ways to make homemade lip balm/butter but it's not the best when you don't use pure ingredients. This is made to be fresh with better results and a longer shelf life. You can always substitute the recipe with other oils and butters but avocado is amazing on the lips that is rich in fat to moisturize lips to be baby soft.... not like vasoline that feel greasy or too much oil to be cheap fillers.

  • @BeautySplurge oh, i didn't think of that, thank you for the answer, you're amazing and a great inspiration and help to me <3 :)

  • @marapprech No problem sweetie and thank you for the question!

  • Awesome! Can't wait to try it! Keep me updated girl! Xoxo

  • @mtngo Thanks love =0)

  • @DerekTanWeiHong1990 It's my honor to share tips to help beauties as yourself =) Thank you so much!

  • i'm amazed. you are a magician!!!! :)

  • @jubidzz That's would be neat to be a magician like david copperfield but I don't have any illusion effects or disappearing acts hehe Thanks love!

  • Awesome. Pls pls pls do more DIY video. Love you!!:)

  • looking forward, babe! :)

  • once again I love your vids, wonderful DIYs

  • babe, not questioning the ingredients or as u replied... just thought u know.. do a review of your own product? that was more of the angle i was going.. :) im sure of course, ingredients wise, ur the master.

  • @annadiego I won't be launching until next month that's when the reviews and demonstrations will happen=)

  • I really enjoy watching this videos . :) by the way do u have a recipe for dark under eye circles ?

  • awesome vid! thanks lisa..

  • @fizavee Thank you babe!

  • Lisa! You are so awesome!!!! This is such a wonderful idea! I cannot wait until your store opens! Good luck dear!

  • I like it however the mica bag said clearly that it wasnt safe for use on the lips only for the eyes so idk why would u use it on ur lips + wanna sell it also....

  • @tinychula1 I don't know if you know that mica in general is used for makeup BUT not all can be used in both the lips and eyes. I showed all types of mica because you can see what is safe and not with annotation so you don't buy the wrong powder. Makeup paint bases for example will say you can use on eyes or on lips. You can also used lipsticks or glosses if you planning to use it just for yourself. I choose mica to keep everything fresh and preserve better. Good luck hun!

  • Ahh love it :)

  • pretty and genius! :P

  • @gerilenpolon Thank you=) It's really in the art of making these and understanding the ingredients stability.

  • i wish i can find these ingredient where i live TT __ TT

  • @kettycat1993 me toooooo, I never find anything where i live :'( :'(

  • Just a suggestion babe.. how about doing like a before/after experiment with this lip butter? Maybe, using this consistently over a week or more.. So we can visually see the effects of the lip butter. :)

  • @annadiego With this recipe, I've been making them for a month and the color will always stay the same because I am using mica. Mica is used primary for cosmetic products lip your eye shadows and lipsticks to not fade and binds will with oil. It will not effect with oxidation and understanding how to preserve these lip butters.

  • This is amazing !! Where do u buy the containers for the final product lip butters?
