It makes me soooooo mad when people assume that my mother is a mixed african american woman just because she is light skinned! My mom is the color of Jennifer Lopez on her face and PASTY on the areas that are not sun-exposed. My mom isn't the only one who is light skinned in Nigeria.

Is it just one part of Nigeria or one part of what ever country is where everyone light skinned lives? Like say all dark skinned people live in the south all light skinned live in the north?

But why are all africans you see on tv all jet black? In every documentary they are never any that are light skinned. Even if you do a search on the Internet you never see any light skinned. I've seen some caramel like Nelson Mandela but never light skinned.

@duanerichard They don't come in specific countries, they are all over. I am dark skinned and my sister is light skinned, we are BOTH African. What matters is here is heredity. What your mother and father's genes are. My mother is light as day and was born and raised in Nigeria, where ignorant people think everyone who lives there is dark as midnight.
