That's not at all smart. If moisture/condensation gets inside your laptop......NOT A GOOD IDEA. Especially not wise if your laptop has vents at the bottom.
@corylshaw I'm looking into purchasing a silent fan for my laptop. I don't know if any exists, but I don't mind getting one custom-made if necessary. Oh, and your laptop looks great - how did you keep it in top condition for so long?
yes fans are usually the culprit of noise while recording. Hard drives can be noisy too, but normally not too noisy for recording. There also might be a utility for taming your computer's fan while recording, but you risk your drives overheating. Maybe then you could record from your refrigerator :)
Hey, is that the latest MacBook? I'm also doing recordings and my pc's driving me crazy with the noise. So unless the fans kick in is it totally quiet? Thanks
I loved your video. I came across a site that will help your channel/video become more popular. It has really helped me out a great deal. The name is Tubeviews . Net
couldn't hear whether the your fan wasn't making any noise. Mine was too loud :)

Maybe you could try placing a flat sheet of metal over the dish, of the type that transfers the cold but keeps the moisture away from the laptop?

@dav5tar09 You're probably right, but hey, my laptop is now about 4 years old and still humming along!
