@wackywankavator Agreed. And I think they should write him out of this too. They don't know what to do with him anymore and he's wasting screen time that could go to Danny or Donald!
@MoreMedication I think he still has potential to be funny, but the security guard thing is wildly unfunny...he still made me laugh in the episode where they were filming the commercial...so when he's not being the security guard, he can still bring the laughs...but I feel like that security guard arc was just there so he could do something different from season 1 and 2, and it just wasn't that well thought out.
Though I loved him in the ep where he and Britta fought, early in the season.
@TheComixkid2099 Hey Comix - It's nothing against Ken personally, but his character has just run its course. He's been OK in small doses, but he just doesn't fit into the show anymore, and this year that fact has been glaringly obvious. If they want to develop another character, they should pick Leonard or Fat Neal. And I love the fact they're giving Dean Pelton bigger storylines. His date with Jeff was hysterical and lovely - may we have some more, please :)
@MoreMedication Are you joking? Did you see the episode where Chang was working as a security guard detective, trying to find a connection between Arizona and a bunch of random things? He was fucking awesome there! (The episode is called 'Competitive Ecology'.)
@lazy4295 No, not joking. About the only time Ken Jeong ever made me laugh was when he jumped out of the trunk in THE HANGOVER. Even when watching the outtakes of COMMUNITY he's boring. And yes, I've seen every episode. And I was lying when I said he was OK in small doses - I honestly cannot understand how he and Jim Belushi still have careers. (Yes, I know Jim has nothing to do with this, but it still baffles me.)
@lazy4295 that's the thing, i've found Ken to be funny everywhere BUT that episode. don't get me wrong, i LOVE community, but that episode was just weird. it might have just been the ending, that was a terrible scene, but Ken's been the main comedic force behind this show since it started
@nightmareX1993 Yeah, I think the main thing that makes him bother people there is the fact that there's a chance that Shirley has Chang's baby. As he's considered sort of the black sheep who the group just tries to avoid as much as possible, it causes an annoying dilemma.
@lazy4295 that's the weird bit, it was never actually Chang's baby. besides, his outsider status is what makes him hilarious, just his status as a human non-sequitur who's willing to go the extra mile to be accepted/have power, what he does, and how the group reacts to it
Lmao is that the first time any of the study group call him Ben?

I think this is the only project Ken Jeong's been a part of that I could stand watching him. Good on Community for making him enjoyable.
'Course there's also the deleted peach speech from Knocked Up but he's been absolutely unwatchable in everything else.
