She looks very focused and relaxed. She looks very happy...extremely happy. She's standing in one spot and she's not moving about. It takes really good and focused control to do that...to do that so you can keep the sound coming from the right place. She is doing that here. She's in great voice this night. For me, the late 60's and early 70's are the years her voice sounded its best...the nasal quality was rich and warm.

This was recorded during a stint Barbra did at the International Hotel in Vegas in July 1969. It has never been released on DVD or CD as a complete concert, hence this is very rare footage. No footage from the '69 Vegas shows is contained in the 5 box DVD set of Streisand's TV specials.

There's an album entitled "Barbra Streisand & Other Musical Instruments",and that's exactly what she is,a musical instrument in human form! She is,quite simply incomparable.To have entertained so many people for over 4 decades & to be still doing so in her 69th year is a true testament to who she is,the consumate professional,but with the human touch so often missing in other performers! "On A Clear day" is a kooky,'all-over-the-place' kinda film,but it's also pretty damn funny!

Er,sorry,I really couldn't answer that! I'm a fan but not to the extent where I have every album/dvd/tv special she's ever produced,lol. Oh,& would you fecking believe it,having just said that,I've just looked across at my dvd's & there it is,the boxed,5dvd collection of her tv specials,hahaha! I obviously forgot I'd got that,lol! So maybe I'll be able to check it out & answer your question,at som epoint.There are,like,5 dvd's so it could take some time!

Indeed, it is Barbra herself that makes this arguably ridiculous song worthy. I have read criticisms of her early style/work as strident. I could not disagree more. I found her passionate and dramatic which is totally in evidence here.

Listen to the quality of the voice at this time in her career, which is at one of its peaks and is beyond. Listen to the phrase, "you'll feel part of, every mountain sea and shore. . .". Gorgeous!! Her tone, even on this recording, is simply stunning. To watch her at her peak is truly mesmerizing. I am so glad that the youth who write the comments herein can so appreciate the greatness of what this is. Funny how a microphone and her mere presence created the greatest act of all time.
