He had threatened to use WMDs against Israel where he had launched SCUDS against the population (a delivery system). It had less to do with 911, except that he was a known contributor (money and intell wise etc.).
He killed millions...He killed them with chemical agents, things we have. Yes its not good that he did, but other countries are in the same shape, with evil dictators and all. And I know that he failed to comply with the UN resolutions and inspections, but Iran is doing the same thing. Why don't we invade Iran. The free world doesn't cry when we defend ourselves, they cry when we start at "defend ourselves", which then turns into "defend the Iraqi's" because we made a mistake. And with the whole UN thing, you have to look at it from their angle, its like they are the international communities parents, they have to look at both sides of the argument, they cant just say "that persons wrong" because then those people are going to be outraged because they feel they are right and its unfair and so on.

Well, If you want to be real about it. The "war" budget is not factored into the budget. The spending budgets that Congress send up the chain is outrageous. The military spending doesn't really bother the economy because much of it stays home and generates activity that pays taxes. Despite what you may be told, Iraq WILL be picking up most of the tab. $10 Billion/mo. IS chicken feed and Iraq gets all those jobs creating a better Iraq. It's like "poetic justice" AND the big losers ARE the RADs!

He REFUSED U.N. weapons inspectors for YEARS (part of the truce after desert storm), and claimed to have nukes. He had threatened to use WMDs against Israel where he had launched SCUDS against the population (a delivery system). It had less to do with 911, except that he was a known contributor (money and intell wise etc.).
