I love those nice album presentations they did in those days. As for 42nd Street .. wow! Where is the songwriting today? Then again, I love the movie with Warner Baxter and little Miss Ruby Keeler -- and that peppy Dick Powell.
I read a reviewer in a 30s record magazine saying bands should give the public the tune similar to the one they heard at the cinema and this excellant 78 has that studio orchestra sound about it i think.
